I frequent this place as it is close to my house, its my favorite pizza joint in Maple Grove! It is hard to describe why it is so good other than the ingredients are top notch. The sauce has a little spice, the crust is chewy, the cheese is fresh, and the toppings are great (best sausage). The prices are a little more than the average chain but well worth it. read more

Never, ever ordering from Chanticlear again!!! Last night I ordered Buffalo Wings and a Cobb salad via online site. Everyone went great. They said it would be 40 minutes. I live literally 3 minutes from the place per Google Maps! The food arrived in 90 minutes! Over twice the estimated time. They guy pulls out a brown paper bag with my "hot" wings on the top and my "cold" salad on the bottom. I asked the driver about that and he did not respond to me and just took off! Really?? The wings were cold, celery warm and salad already wilting from the heat transfer from the wing box... I was pissed. Then, about 15 minutes later, I get a call from the restaurant telling me I didn't give the driver a tip!!! I have never, ever gotten a call from a restaurant to scold me for not leaving a tip for the driver!!! Especially, when there was already a $3.00 delivery charge on the receipt that I paid for. I explained all this to the idiot that called me and his response was "Well, the driver did not make your food"! No apology, no empathy, just indignant and could not care less. I let him know how upset I was with him and their complete lack of execution on my dinner order. He then begrudgingly said he could give me a free Buffalo Wings next time. I said no, and told him he'll never hear from me again. I will now be their newest marketing rep who will tell my family, friends and neighbors to avoid this place like the plague. Nice bar area and good selection. My favorite is the boneless wings-- I am super picky and these are lightly breaded and come out fresh and crispy. Pizza is always good as well. Hats off to Chef Morgan! A lot of TV's and nice bar area to watch the game. read more

4 times visited. Enjoyed first 3 times. Was actually one of our favorites until tonight. Not sure if management changed or what, but my sons hand tossed pizza was brought to the table as a thin and was told kids pizza can not be hand tossed ( somehow our first 3 visits there were no issues) the our son was throwing some darts as we were finishing our drinks, as we sat right next to the TURNED OFF dart board. And the bartender rudely came over and took his darts and said you can't play with these too many get broken. And I kid you not, he had not missed a shot, nor was he obnoxious in any way shape or form. It might help if she knew math, because the hundreds of dollars in food we spend EACH time we go go there would easily made up for a dollar bag of 24 plastic dart tips, which he never broke a one! We usually get takeout pizza from this restaurant and it is delicious! Tonight, we decided to eat in and really wish we had gotten takeout instead. Service was pretty slow (I think they were understaffed). We received our appetizer AFTER the pizza came, which really defeats the purpose of an appetizer. We think the server forgot to put in the appetizer order, but would have preferred she just admitted it. The boneless wings weren't great. We ordered a taco pizza and didn't get the sour cream and salsa accompaniments until we only had one piece of pizza left. Overall, disappointed and will stick to takeout from this place. read more

Go to pizza joint in maple grove. Not the typical all crust pizza nice thin crust that isn't soggy or crispy. Usually just right. One of the better sauces I've had. Not to sweet or too salty. Perfect amount of toppings. We've had sausage and pepperoni as well as the house special. Always better than the east coast pizzas I get when traveling. read more

We started with the bang bang shrimp and loved it. We had a pizza (the Italian sausage was really good) and the fish and chips and both were delicious. All of our food came out quickly. All and all I enjoy Chanticlear. Their food is pretty descent and they have a reasonable happy hour which is hard to find in Maple Grove. I wish they would put more effort towards their service. Visited the new Chanticler Grill in Maple Grove yesterday to watch the game and determine if we have a new worthwhile hangout. Based on yesterday's visit, this place is great!! The Bloody Mary bar is worth the $7.99 - although the only downfall is many of the great choices to build a mammoth bloody are from the grill or deep fryer and they were cold. Not sure how to fix this without constantly refreshing the choices. The food was still pretty good cold but I know it would be awesome straight out of the kitchen!! We sat at a high top in the bar - our server Cheryl was a hoot!! Very friendly and talkative. She had a couple large tables so we ended up helping her and grabbing our own beers a couple times when the bartender fulfilled the order request since Cheryl was busy and we didn't want our beers getting warm. No problem and we had a good laugh with Cheryl. We ordered a pizza and it was the Bomb!!!! Waaaayyyy better than delivery as it came out piping hot with gooey cheese!!! The sliders from the Bloody Mary were super good even cold. If it's any indication, implies they must have great burgers!!! Hope this place makes it!! When I heard that Chanticlear was opening up a dine in restaurant the days couldn't go quick enough for their opening. As a new dine in restaurant with an expanded menu they have done everything right. The food with many new items is top notch and management made all the right moves with hiring friendly, professional, and attentive staff. The pizza is still amazing and my favorite is their pan pizza with bacon bits, pineapple, and jalapenos along with their sweet heat dipping sauce. Chanticlear's expanded menu is top notch and feels like my mom's home made meals. I have been a fan of Chanticlear for years and now I truly am a bigger one and can't wait for my family's next visit! read more

The service here is extremely slow and unaccommodating. Our servers were uninterested in actually working and doing their jobs while. We waited over a 1/2 hour for a kids cheese pizza 15 minutes for a couple beers and the place was not busy at all. This is the second time this has happened and will not be back until things change. Worst place for pick up terrible customer service ordered a pizza 6:48 pm went to pick up still not ready at 7:30 after they told us 20 minutes finally checked with cashier she said I will go check on it went back there got my pizza. Since starting the new grill location pizza pickup or delivery service has been horrible. Have had three bad experiences within the last month causing this review. I feel whom ever is managing the new sit down location is in over their head compared to running just a delivery/pick up location. Tonight my wife waited 10 minutes, along with two other couples waiting to be seated, before even being acknowledged by the staff. When she finally got our to go order garlic cheese bread was cold and came with the wrong sauce. This has been the third time since they opened the new location pick up service has been horrible. We are finally done with them, which is sad because we have no other choices on this side of Maple Grove. I was not impressed with the service nor the food. It was not very busy and we were seated right away. it took a long time to get our drink order - 10 minutes ) it did not come until after we ordered our food. Our nachos were weak, lacking meat. We waited too long for a pizza and when it came we were missing the sausage. someone other than our server brought the pizza and said she would let someone know, I also had to ask for a refill since I hadn't seen our server since our order was taken. I ended up having to go to bar and ask for a refill since the server name came back until we were ready to leave. We wanted our check and wanted to leave because it felt like we were being ignored although there were only three other customers there I am not sure what the staff was doing , hiding in back, playing a game, private party in the cooler? I had tried this restaurant in another city before and really liked it - but the one in maple grove didn't compare and service was rude and unfriendly. Ordered 3 pizzas last night and it took one hour and 20 minutes to deliver (on a Wednesday night) and then one of the pizza orders were wrong. I called to let them know and was told to wait another 20 minutes for a new pizza or they would refund 1/2 of the pizza price on a future order. The pizza was wrong after 1 hour and 20 minutes! What good would a 1/2 price credit be if the pizza wouldn't even be eaten? Long delivery, incorrect order and bad/unfriendly customer service. This is the second time we have had an incorrect order - the first time we let it go as the restaurant being new. The second time is not acceptable. We will not be ordering here in the future. I do not recommend this restaurant for your pizza delivery. There are many more that want your business in the area. read more
