I bought my truck from Chapman and typically bring it here to get the scheduled service however, I will not be bringing it back for a repair. They do not offer appointments at all, even if they know it's a 3-day wait. They make you leave your car sitting in the lot otherwise they cancel your spot. I dropped off my truck and waited an entire week and when no one reached out for an update, I called in only to find out they still hadn't looked at it. The rep told me even after they were able to diagnose the issue, it would be at least another 3 days to fix. I told them I would pick up my truck and to not move forward with diagnostic. Of course on day 6 right before I picked it up, they performed the $200 diagnostic (to be fair, they waived the fee after I explained my experience). This is not my first issue with a Chapman service repair. Last year my check engine light came on with powertrain errors and since my truck was relatively new the warranty was known to cover these repairs and a rental car, but in typical fashion it seems, Chapman would not approve the rental car until it could be officially checked out by their technicians, which was a 5-day wait. I pleaded with them to approve a rental car asap, I let them know I was a new father and this was the last thing I needed to worry about - they waited the entire 5 days before ordering the rental. Like many customers I assume, I am unimpressed with their timeliness in simply running a diagnostic particularly to confirm that a rental car is warranted, especially since I bought my truck from this Chapman dealer. I will not be bringing my truck back here for repairs and I question whether I will buy any car from here again given the issues I have had with the truck and the awful service for repair. read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Do Not Trust Chapman Chevrolet I purchased a brand-new 2024 Chevy Turbomax in early November, hoping for the reliability and peace of mind that a new truck should bring. As a 100% disabled Iraq veteran with four kids, I needed a dependable vehicle that could accommodate my family. Unfortunately, my experience with Chapman Chevrolet has been nothing short of disastrous. After a month of normal use, my truck suddenly stopped accelerating while I was on my way to my grandfather's funeral in Payson, AZ. The check engine light came on, and I was left stranded. I contacted Chevy, but they could not provide towing, so I arranged for a tow through my insurance. As a result, I missed most of my grandfather's funeral. When I arrived at Chapman Chevrolet in Payson with my children after the funeral, I was informed that my truck had not even been towed there yet. I requested to speak with a manager immediately, but was told he was in a meeting and unavailable to meet with me. This lack of customer service was unacceptable. On top of that, Chapman Chevrolet doesn't provide loaner vehicles, and I had to borrow a car from a family member just to get back home. The truck was eventually towed back to Phoenix, where it sat in the shop for 2.5 weeks with no updates. After numerous attempts to get information, including leaving multiple voicemails for my case manager at GMC, I finally learned on December 20th that a wiring issue related to the third-party alarm was preventing the truck from accelerating. When I went to pick up my truck, I informed the salesman that I no longer trusted the vehicle due to the extensive repairs. The manager offered me a different vehicle, supposedly to compensate for the issues I had faced. However, after crunching the numbers, the payment was unreasonably high, and no concessions were made. I left the dealership feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. To make matters worse, just two hours later, the truck broke down again. The check engine light came on, and the truck stopped accelerating once more. I was forced to coast to the dealership with my hazards on, once again dealing with the same issues. As a career military leader, I know the difference between what's right morally and what's legal in business. Chapman Chevrolet has failed on both fronts. They sold me a defective vehicle, provided no real support, and have done nothing to make things right. The service has been consistently poor, and I have received no sense of urgency or genuine care. I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from Chapman Chevrolet. Their lack of accountability, the unprofessional behavior at both the Payson and Tempe locations, and the unhelpful response from GMC customer service has made this experience incredibly frustrating. No one at this dealership seems to care about their customers or their issues. I will be sharing this experience on all social media platforms as a warning to others. read more

My mom has worked with Linda Seamans for 20+ years. Every year my mom purchases a new corvette from Linda at Chapman. My mom is 78 years old and still drives corvettes purchased from Linda. The last one was going for over MSRP, maybe $50,000 over. My mom brought it home and told me what she paid. I told her it was robbery. $100,000 over MSRP. Linda knew she had a client that trusted her enough to pay what she said. After looking online and seeing that there was no car selling for even CLOSE to $100,000 over MSRP I called Linda and told her how upsetting it was that she had taken advantage of my mom. I reached out to Chapman Chevrolet on 02/10/2026 to purchase a new vehicle. I was completely upfront about my credit situation. I explained that my credit is currently troubled because I cosigned for my son's vehicle at a 26.9% interest rate, at the time of cosigning I was unaware of the interest rate, which has negatively impacted my profile. I spoke with Jesus Ramirez and clearly told him what I was looking for. He assured me that my situation wasn't a problem and that they had financers who could make it happen. Based on that reassurance, I scheduled an appointment for 02/11/2026. The day of my appointment, Jesus, told me that he had a family emergency and that his coworker Caleb Griffis would assist me instead (bate and switch). I was told Caleb was fully aware of my situation. During the visit , my credit report was pulled and the focus was the 26.9% loan I co-signed for my son. I was then told because of that interest rate, the only way to get my payment under $400 would be to purchase a used vehicle around $15,000.00 of which they had no vehicles on the lot for under $15,000.00. That felt unreasonable and concerning. It came across as steering me toward terms that did not feel consumer friendly. I have financed vehicles for years, including previously purchasing a home with a credit score of 500. I have never felt pushed in this manner. I understand guideline, but the overall experience felt dismissive and discouraging after I was initially assured financing would not be an issue at the amount I discussed. Customers deserve transparency from the beginning, not reassurance over the phone and a completely different tone in person. Also the finance person that Caleb was speaking to was a bald black man. Scheduled an oil change for my 2023 vehicle and I had left work early that day for the appointment. When I got there I was told I needed to keep my car over night because there was a recall. I told him I never got any notice of a recall and I couldn't leave it over night. So he scheduled the next available which was two weeks out. I told him my oil reading was 18% , will I damage my motor if I waited two weeks. He told me not to go far with the car. I couldn't just get the oil changed done at that time apparently. He told me it would cost me $150 to $300. What? No oil change is that much and a recall is free of charge. So I left , and I looked up my vin number to see what the recall was for and there weren't any . I called this dealership again and was told there wasn't a recall.
