Very good food. Chili cheese fries and breakfast burritos here are my favorite but everything else I have tried has been delicious. Extremely polite people here as well. One of my favorite places to eat in Moorpark

They have BoBa now!!! I've been coming for years and their food and service has always been top notch and it just keeps getting better and better!

So, a little back story. I enjoy heading over to Starbucks and occasionally eat their breakfast burrito with my dark roast coffee. Well naturally one day I go and they are out of their burritos. The gal at the register was trying to tell me to get a "real" burrito by signaling with her head and eyes like over there...so, I was looking at her like where's over there? Long and short she never actually told me where over there was but after driving around in the parking lot I finally realized she meant at the very end of the parking lot where no one goes . So, basically Char-Broiler has a following for their Breakfast Burritos. Who knew. Well now you're in the know. This place has some of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Seriously, you need to try it! Also, be sure to get an extra side of their salsa. You can watch how much they stuff their burritos with golden hash browns, scrambled eggs and cheeses. I've only had it with their bacon so my review is limited to that version. Basically you cannot go wrong with this burrito. Pro tip. Order by phone and pick it up. It will save you some time and while you wait grab a coffee at Starbucks and thank them for the burrito tip.

New menu items!

Best breakfast burritos in town! Burgers and chicken Greek salad are highly recommended too! Ranch is ok. Not sure if something changed in the recipe but would love to see them refine the ranch recipe!

Not that great. The burger was dry and onion rings not too flavorful. Thought I would try it out but probably won't go back.

What a lovely couple!! Would definitely go back for their happy faces!…read more Tried CJs for the first time tonight and 2 of 3 of us were pleased!! Kid's face down in the Honey BBQ flatbread pizza. First, the smell of this on the drive home made my mouth water. Then I set it before her and opened the box and almost cried. Beautiful! Tasted amazing! Would absolutely order again! Spouse is making me very jealous with the tongue action licking up his egg and avocado sandwich. I don't know about black olives in egg salad, but I will say that this egg salad has the perfect balance of mayo and mustard. He is in heaven. "Phenomenal," he said and could only eat half of this huge sandwich. Impressive!! So I am the off one out. Usually when I go to a new place, I get something commonly loved so I can hold it up to the bar. This time I went rogue. The Mango Habanero Turkey panini called out to me. But sadly I didn't appreciate the flavor combo with the gooey nacho cheese sauce and a very minimal few pieces of turkey. Where my spouse's sandwich was several fingers high, mine was muy flaco. And the worst part for me was that it didn't survive the short 3 mile drive home. Opening the steamy box produced soggy panini--my biggest pet peeve with carry out orders. Having said that, the lovely owner through in a complimentary cookie and a huge smile and invited me to come back soon. I'm sure we would like to go back for a nice weekend brunch with coffee and their homemade baked goods!!

We honestly were not sure if we wanted to make the drive to Moorpark again, but given Phil's extended efforts, we felt it was only right to give Freda's another try. Our last visit was during Mother's Day weekend, so we thought to come for brunch on Father's Day. It was busy when we arrived, but the host team managed the flow of customers very well. While being seated, the timing of the next reservation was mentioned, allotting an hour and a half for our time there. This was more than enough, and we were graciously thanked for our understanding. Shortly after, Danielle came to greet us, apologized for the previous dining experience and showed sincere appreciation for having us again. We had two servers for our section, Nathan being our primary one, but as before, we felt the entire team worked exceptionally well in taking care of customers. We started with the Focaccia Rustico which was the best part of our last meal. This arrived heavily toasted. We prefer the softer version from our dinner, but it was still very good. The husband was eager to try the French Dip, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich had the perfect ratio of meat to bread. The au jus was flavorful, along with the horseradish spread. The fries were, hot, crisp and nicely seasoned. I ordered the Dutch Baby. It arrived freshly made in the cast iron pan, with sides of butter, syrup and berry compote. This was my first time having the German pancake and it was delicious! It will now be on my radar when having brunch elsewhere, but Freda's is the standard that others will follow. Team members checked on us often, as they did with other customers. Danielle stopped by a couple more times. We were thanked again, as we left, for giving them another chance. It was a great experience from beginning to end and a testament to Freda's dedication to customer satisfaction. We'll be back. :)

They are part of the InKind app where you pay with the app and earn rewards. The exterior reminds me of a house where you would sit outside with a cold glass of sweet tea in the summer time. We opted to sit inside as it was a little warm outside, but I kind of regretted it as the breeze kept the temp down. Anyways, the service here was great and friendly. We started out with the french onion soup and meatballs. Both dishes were really good. The meatballs sat in a nice marinara sauce and it was firm, not mushy in the middle. Flavor was good and the marinara was really good. The french onion soup was a little bit salty, but not to the point where you can't eat it. I like the texture of the cheese and it had a nice pull. The steak frites and Chicken Scallopini was also good. Though, I did find the pasta to be a little bland and I could just taste mostly butter. Could have used a little more seasoning for sure. The steak frittes was really good. It came out medium rare and pre-sliced. I really liked the fries. They were fried to a perfect crispiness and seasoned very well IMO. The steak was a little under-seasoned, but a little salt and pepper did the trick. The chimichurri was a good compliment to the dish. Overall, I enjoyed the food here. The drinks could have been better, but that was secondary.

First, the staff are all so kind and welcoming. You feel like you are having dinner in someone's living room. It is so beautiful and cozy and warm. Perfect for a date night! We came on a Wednesday night and had a reservation and got in right away. We shared everything family-style. Note, the portions are small but the food is delicious and for the price it is right on. Next time, may order two of one dish. We got the cucumber herb salad, the potatoes gravas, the elote corn, the flank steak, and the summer margarita pizza. All were fantastic. Next time, we'll get more than one pizza and may skip the flank steak. For dessert we had the cookie with gelato (gelato is SO GOOD) and the pop tart. You must get the pop tart!!!!! I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.

They do take a while to make the food when you order ahead, so I usually order at least 25 minutes in advance of pick up time when taking out. When eating in, they make it pretty quickly. The one thing that would keep me from leaving 5 stars is because the past few times that we have eaten in here, I have noticed that the music playing really isn't appropriate, in my opinion. It is an eclectic mix of all kinds of random songs from the 80's and 90's to the current hits and songs from 10 years ago. That isn't what bothered me though. What bothered me is I don't think some of the songs that play are appropriate- like hearing "S*x and Candy," Pink's song where she says, "They'll be kissing my a**," and the last word was not censored, and then today hearing a song with lyrics, "girls in the boys room, boys in the girls room; free your mind and you'll be androgynous." Like; what? I'm just trying to have my hummus and my 2 year old kid is here. The music isn't quiet and in the background- you certainly hear it while you're in there! Music like that does not seem family oriented. I thought of how much better it would be if this place played Greek language music, like acoustic songs, or just something consistent and peaceful to really give the Mediterranean ambiance. I'm not one to nit pick about the music that is playing at every restaurant that I eat at, but when I'm with my baby and I hear inappropriate things like that, it bothers me. I wonder if the owner would ever consider changing the music. That is all!
