Mostly eaten CHICKEN PICCATA with a side of carrots and baked potato.
Sarah G.

Charleston's has been around for ages, and is a great place to go when relatives are visiting. Which is exactly what we did on a Saturday night. The booths are pretty small ... kind of a tight squeeze for 4 people. We were greeted quickly. The waiter brought our drinks quickly and then we ordered right away, some of us choosing old favorites like pasta RIGATONI BOLOGNESE, yummy CHICKEN PICCATA... i think my bro gets the same thing every week! Both my sis and I ordered a salad with chicken, pineapple, strawberry (1), and.... amazingly delicious figs ... it's my new favorite called WALTS CHAMPAGNE CHICKEN SALAD. Service was good until the refill coke was handed over the back of the booth, and never noticed that it spilled immediately. (Waiter was long gone as we cleaned up the little spills. ... oops) Prices are pricey but food is delicious. I don't go often because it's too rich for me without a special occasion. The location isn't bad; driving in from the east side it's got a weird way of entering the parking lot next to the bank. There aren't a lot of other places to eat nearby so this works for us! We will certainly be back!

That was some good fries chicken I can tell you that carrots were amazing definitely a good place to eat with family and friends

I love Charleston's! I appreciate their ambience. It's warm, friendly, and the staff makes you feel right at home. I ordered the ribs with a baked potato and broccoli (which was at special request since it's not listed on the menu) One thing about Charleston's is they are going to make sure if you arrived hungry, you will NOT be leaving hungry! The portions are very generous! My meal arrived warm and ready for me to dig in! The ribs were savory and the meat fell right off the bone. My baked potato and broccoli were also delicious! If you haven't checked out Charleston's, what are you waiting for? Great food, amazing service, and wonderful atmosphere!

$19 Reuben Sandwich

Before coming here make sure you go to CostCo down the street and get the $100 gift cards for $79.99, a free 20% discount on your meal. My mom loves to come here. The ribs are excellent, but I decided to not get ribs this night. I had the $19 Reuben Sandwich. It was ok, not great, but not bad. We sat at the bar and there are a ton of townies here. The food here is better than a chain like Chilis, Applebee's, Olive Garden, but nothing fancy. Quick and friendly service. Solid place for a cheap meal.

I had came here for dinner which I had never been to this Charleston location and it had been a long time since I had been to a Charleston. While here I had sat at the bar. The bar tender was friendly and answered the questions that I had. I had got a peach Bellini drink and then chicken with the sweet potatoes which all really good. The food was made really good. It didn't disappoint at all. Service was quick here and I didn't have to wait a long time for my food to come out. The atmosphere was really great and quiet in here. There were people in here but it wasn't loud and the vibe was a good one. I will be back here again for the food soon.

KEY LIME PIE martini. Graham crust on the rim!

The salmon salad is absolutely delicious. Always pair it with a yummy croissant. But on this evening I also tried a delicious Key Lime Pie martini. Um. Amazing. Food is always delicious here and now I know the drinks are too!

Perfect Margarita with fresh muddles strawberries

Amanda has been an exceptional!! She works Sat, Sun and-Mon every week! Her service is beyond excellent with top notch quality at a luxurious designed bar which truly brings your pulse down to rejuvenate no matter the weather! I ordered a perfect margarita with a Caesar salad (oh the sweetened croissant delish) and not only did I place the order. Amanda took it to a whole other level just by asking if I desire fresh strawberries to be muddled served in a frosted martini cocktail glass. I ordered two but would stay longer. I need to be in and out and the service is more than 5 stars. The attention by all the staff to greet me and make me welcome goes above and beyond! On a Monday night the tables in the bar were filling up and everyone was so pleased with the service by Austin! I took it a step further and ordered dessert and when they said cheesecake, I didn't expect a grand piece 4 inches thick served with a blueberry coulis and lemon cello sauce. I can't wait to devour the dessert and more of the menu when I return on a girls night. This is an excellent option for a group of six at a table in the bar or seating for 15 at the bar. Not sure if they can reserve those seats but it would be worth it when the service, staff and quality are reaching a tier worth stopping in for!!

Charleston's is a nice casual dining restaurant that always delivers quality service and food. This visit was for a group of 9. Charleston's was great about accommodating us without a reservation. Although they couldn't seat us a one table, they were able to sit us at two tables across from each other. I usually get the fried catfish, but this time I opted for the gumbo and Chicken Club Salad. Both were very good. Everyone really liked their meals and the restaurant recommendation.

Charlestons is one of those places I often overlook. It sits next to a hotel and is across from Twin Peaks on 82nd St., at the intersection of I-69 and 465. I had a gift card, so figured I'd stop in one evening to have dinner. I was seated quickly and noticed that there's a fireplace inside that emits a lovely burning wood scent. That, along with the beautiful poinsettias and warm wood booths really adds to the cozy ambiance here. My friendly waitress Alicia attended to me quickly and took my order. Despite it being late (around 830p), there were quite a few occupied tables. I ordered the walleye fish blackened with vegetable blend and a side house salad. My salad arrived, accompanied by a delicious croissant with a drizzle of sweet butter. Shortly after, my dinner arrived. The fish was cooked perfectly, and it was such a large portion that I was able to take some home for lunch the next day! The service was excellent...that combined with the warm, inviting atmosphere was perfect for a cold winter's eve dinner.

Charleston's offers a surprisingly elevated experience without the hefty price tag. The ambiance is classy, the service attentive, and the food? Absolutely satisfying. You're only spending slightly more than you would at a fast-food chain, but the difference in quality and atmosphere is night and day. Now let's talk about what stole my heart: THE FRENCH FRIES. Thin, crispy, golden perfection. I'm not exaggerating when I say they're some of the best I've ever had--light, crunchy, and completely addictive. If you're a fry lover like me, this place is a must. The only reason I'm holding back one star is because, as someone who's been vegan all my life, I would love to see more plant-based options on the menu. Currently, there are no vegan mains or desserts, so I had to rely on the fries (not complaining, but still!). That said, Charleston's delivers big flavor, a refined atmosphere, and unbeatable value. If they ever expand their menu with plant-based dishes, it's a five-star experience waiting to happen.

This place is ok. Not my favorite but it is my parent's favorite. The price point is a little higher for what you get. The portions were pretty large. I had the catfish and it was good. It also came with two sides that you can substitute out, for what you would like. Our server, Raymond, was really polite and pleasant to work with. They also have kids meal options.

This is amount of cole slaw in carry out container - 2.85 ounces - for $7! Not even close to what you get in restaurant for same price.

Take out cole slaw portion is ridiculously small for $7 - 2.85 ounces (see photo). In the restaurant, they say you get 5 ounces. You clearly don't get that much with carry out.

We celebrated friend, Lori Tilstra's birthday at Charleston's on 82nd Street in Indy on August 29th. The bar is awesome! Ralph and Lori both had the Pasta. Dave had the meatloaf and I had the baby back ribs. I took home lots of leftovers. We all really enjoyed our meals. Sorry no photos of the meals, I forget until we demolish the plate, lol

I really liked the lunch combo with the shrimp cocktail, their homemade sauce really packs a punch! The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

My favorite were the crab cakes and the least fav were the popovers. That leaves the meatballs in the middle. Of the 3, the only one I'd try again would be the crab cakes. On to the main course. I ordered a filet with a sweet whiskey sauce. We shared broccolini, carrots, French onion mac n chz and au gratin potatoes. I ordered my steak medium and it came out closer to medium well-well. The sauce was super sweet but different. The French onion Mac surprised me ...it was better than I expected. The other sides were decent. Lastly we had dessert to go. I heard rave reviews about the pineapple cake so I opted for that. By the time I got home , it was cooked and it was ok. I like the glaze on top. Intimate. The lighting? Soft. The whole space feels like a quiet luxury moment tucked right into the city. Now let's talk about what REALLY matters, the food. The shrimp & grits??? Listen... this wasn't just a dish, this was an EXPERIENCE. The grits were creamy, smooth, and perfectly rich, but that sauce layered on top?? Whew. Flavor on flavor on flavor. You've got that deep, savory, slightly smoky profile with juicy shrimp, sausage, and those pickled onions cutting through everything with the perfect tang. Every bite felt intentional. Like somebody knew what they were doing in that kitchen. And can we talk about how beautiful it was plated?? Because yes, I absolutely appreciated the aesthetics before I even picked up my fork. Paired it with a simple coffee moment, sitting by the window, and honestly... it felt like a reset. Not rushed, not loud, just good food, good atmosphere, and a chance to actually enjoy it. If you're looking for a brunch spot that feels a little more elevated, a little more intentional, and delivers on both flavor and experience. This is it. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back!!!
