My sister and I have been on the hunt for the best cheesesteak in the DC, VIRGINIA and MARYLAND…read morearea. This place is definitely a top contender. Is it really far from the DMV area? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely! Service was good, the wait isn't too long. I got one with peppers. Super good and flavorful. The French fries were fried to perfection. 10/10 will make the drive again.

I was in the neighborhood so I found and placed the order online. Got there a little after the time I specified and my order was already prepared and ready. And then I had another 30 minute drive home. So it was most likely about an hour after it was prepared that I got to try it First thing, it was still warm. I only ordered the cheese fries and the cheesesteak. As you can tell the fries were a little limp from the moisture and time. The sub roll was also soggy because of the same reason. But I won't judge them on those qualities because it is more on me and my situation than their part. They did their job. The only thing I will comment is the taste, which is all on them. The cheese fries were solid. It definitely would have been better eaten fresh but it was still very good. The cheesesteak on the other hand, was delicious. Both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of it. Yes it was soggy but it did not affect the flavor! I ordered some peppers but wish they had options for hots and different types of hot peppers they offer in Philadelphia. But otherwise, the cheesesteak was great. Now if they can offer hoagies, that would be awesome.

Upon entering, you walk into a full service, but small, market specializing in Italian grocery items. The ambiance was homey, perfect for a small neighborhood specialty grocery. They also have a deli counter, meat counter, hot food bar, and Italian dessert section, to name a few. They also have pizza kits to take home to make your own and pasta and other food items prepared and ready to go in the refrigerated section. The pizza counter is located in the rear of the store. They also sold other items such as sandwiches. We were greeted by a pleasant young man and ordered our Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. The toppings were good and ample, the tomatoes sauce fresh with just enough cheese to pull it all together. The pizza was really good. All in all, another pizza spot to add to our growing list in the area.

The sandwiches and pizza here are elite and they have some things you can get from the market…read more(pasta, fresh meatballs, etc.). If you are ordering from the restaurant I wouldn't recommend ordering ahead of time so it does take a while for it to be ready.

Small banh mi shop with delicious and authentic sandwiches. This spot is small and doesn't have…read moremuch seating inside, so I would recommend this place for takeout mostly. Ordering over the phone is quick and easy. When you order a bahn mi sandwich, they ask if you want the veggies on the sandwich or on the side. If you're eating it right away, I would get the veggies on it, but if you're waiting a bit or transporting the food, I would grab it on the side. All their banh mi comes with (pork?) pate, so if you don't like the taste, make sure to ask for no pate! They also come with jalepenos, so if you're not a spice person, don't forget to ask for no jalepenos. In general, the meat in the banh mi is SUPER flavorful. The sandwiches come with a side of sauce, but the pate and whatever other spread they put on the sandwich is enough that you don't even need the sauce. I've also tried their classic summer rolls, which are really good! Not too much lettuce and the peanut sauce is very delicious. Love this spot for a quick and authentic Vietnamese meal!

Delicious fresh spring rolls!…read more We were getting a sandwich in the next building, and saw Saigon Blvd Báhn Mì. Besides 14 kinds of báhn mì, we saw 7 "summer" rolls. Is that different from a "spring" roll? I dont know. We already gad our sandwich, so we got Veggie Summer Rolls: fried tofu, chopped and shredded lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, some bright mint, some soft sauteed veggies, and tender vermicelli noodles with a vegetarian sauce. Fresh and well-flavored. This became the perfect light "salad" that we had left out of our sandwiches. A great find, just off US-40 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville MD.

Country Corner Store is a gem of a find!…read more Owned by Mr. Jay, a pillar of the Oella community, one can find pretty much anything and everything in this one-stop-shop type of a place. Just note, this is a legit country store, offering random canned items, dried goods, toys, collectibles, drinks, snacks, and even hot food. We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness! There are a few comfortable chairs around the store, so you can definitely just sit and enjoy your food, or take it to go - we opted to dine-in, and we almost fell asleep since we were that cozy and relaxed! HA! Mr. Jay is also known as the Mayor of Oella, so be sure to sit and listen to his stories - he's so kind, personable, and has a lot of history to share! I saw a published photo book of his, which I found super cool; we also received the town's community calendar and a sampling of a neighbor's homemade brownie! Be sure to stop by to grab a meal - we had heard that he makes amazing omelets, so we'd love to try that next time!
