Upon entering, you walk into a full service, but small, market specializing in Italian grocery items. The ambiance was homey, perfect for a small neighborhood specialty grocery. They also have a deli counter, meat counter, hot food bar, and Italian dessert section, to name a few. They also have pizza kits to take home to make your own and pasta and other food items prepared and ready to go in the refrigerated section. The pizza counter is located in the rear of the store. They also sold other items such as sandwiches. We were greeted by a pleasant young man and ordered our Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. The toppings were good and ample, the tomatoes sauce fresh with just enough cheese to pull it all together. The pizza was really good. All in all, another pizza spot to add to our growing list in the area.

If you're eating it right away, I would get the veggies on it, but if you're waiting a bit or transporting the food, I would grab it on the side. All their banh mi comes with (pork?) pate, so if you don't like the taste, make sure to ask for no pate! They also come with jalepenos, so if you're not a spice person, don't forget to ask for no jalepenos. In general, the meat in the banh mi is SUPER flavorful. The sandwiches come with a side of sauce, but the pate and whatever other spread they put on the sandwich is enough that you don't even need the sauce. I've also tried their classic summer rolls, which are really good! Not too much lettuce and the peanut sauce is very delicious. Love this spot for a quick and authentic Vietnamese meal!

We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness!
