Busy busy busy. Came on a Friday night line was about 10-15 min wait. Many different philly cheese steaks to choose from. Fries can be either regular or "gourmet" with toppings such as cheese and bacon bits or "ultimate fries" which has special sauce on it (ranch?). Sizes are as follows depending on the Sammie; Make it a combo + 2.99/3.99 (gourmet fries) and drink Small - 6inch - 5.49/5.99 Medium - 9inch - 7.49/7.99 Large - 12 inch - 9.99/10.29 Salads Chicken - 6.99 Steak - 7.49 Garden - 5.49 It's similar to Subway, you order your Sammie, and once it's ready you come up to the counter and choose your sauces and veggies. They also offer a kids meal, 3 chicken strips with fries, drink, and Oreos for 3.99. Other than soda, they have signature lemonade drinks, strawberry, blueberry, and peach. I personally ordered the bacon 3 cheese steak with some gourmet fries and regular fries. Fries are ok. Gourmet fries are great. The toppings make it delicious. My sandwich was filling because I got a lot of veggies on it. I asked for extra everything and she was super nice and gave me as much as I wanted. You can get different sauces. Buffalo, bbq, ranch, mayo, mustard. I got buffalo. The steak was a bit dry and hard in my opinion, and cheese wasn't as melted as it could've been. It is a fast food place so it is expected, I also did go during a busy time. They also forgot my drinks and I had to remind them. If I were to eat here again, I would probably only try another type of sandwich. read more

I've tried Charley's at other malls before, but this one has got to be the worst. I ordered the Chicken California. In my opinion, a Chicken California is the only reason why you would come to a Charley's. It has ranch, chicken and cheese. What more could you ask for? Not only did it seem like I waited forever to place my order, even though there were only 2 other people in front of me, it look 3 times longer to get my food. I probably waited about 35 minutes for my name to be called. Thankfully I had also ordered food from another vendor so that I could satisfy some of my hunger while waiting for my sandwich to be made. If you see a line at Charley's, do yourself a favor and order from a different food vendor at the food court, especially if you are in a rush. Since moving from Ohio 4 years ago, I've been on a quest to find a Philly steak sub shop that can hold its own against my favorite spot back home (its called Penn Station East Coast Sub's and it is divine). Sadly, I am still searching and fear no sub shop in the Bay Area is up for the task. This spot joined the fail list last Friday afternoon. My husband and I had to make a quick stop at the mall and we walked past the new food court on the way in. This joint was at the end, furthest from the door, and the photos on the electronic menu are what pulled me in. And the option to get cheese fries, oh have I been longing for good cheese fries. So before leaving the mall we stopped at Charleys. It wasn't busy. My husband ordered a traditional small Philly cheese steak. I ordered a regular chicken teriyaki with cheese fries. See, my whole quest for the perfect Philly shop is led by my desire to replicate my favorite sub from my aforementioned fave east coast shop... a savory sub made with grilled chicken, onions, mushrooms, plentiful teriyaki sauce, and melty swiss cheese all packed to the brim on a hearty toasted roll. Oh sorry... I started dreaming again. Back to my lackluster sub experience. Charleys... Where's my meat, onions, and mushroom? On my regular size sub there was half a handful of chicken. They slice the chicken super thin like the steak, so it dries out a bit and the texture is kind of weird. There were a couple onion slivers and granted I had to ask for the addition of mushroom, I expect more than one measly piece of mushroom cap. The cheese completely blanketed the sandwich fillings, but I was looking for a sub stuffed with meat and grilled veg where you just see peekaboos of cheese. I suppose they are trying to leave room for the fillers- lettuce and tomato. On my husband's philly the ratio of lettuce to meat was overwhelming. I had a bite and couldn't taste the meat, just wet romaine lettuce. For the price, I really expected a lot more. You can spend the same at The Cheese Steak shop and get triple the meat and grilled veggie in your sandwich. While there wasn't much to taste, there was a good teriyaki flavor in my sub. That's really all the positivity I can lend to my sandwich. As for the fries, after trying my sub my hope for the cheese fries had dwindled, and rightly so. The fries were extremely starchy, but I guess that's typical of fast food fries. I'm sure they are frozen. The cheese sauce was on the salty side. But whatever, we ate it. We were hungry. The last note I have to add is that the Coke zero was watered down. I hate watered down soda. But not more than I hate meager sandwiches with bread begging to be topped. We won't be coming back. Oh wow. The cheese steaks weren't anywhere even close to being recognizable as a proper cheese steak. That would be fine if they at least tasted good, but they were far from that. Drenched in mayonnaise with little to no cheese. Pretty gross. read more

I originally was going to eat at Lotus Express, but I ask for a large water with my meal, because I was getting over a cold and needed extra water, and so I would not have to keep bothering them to refill the tiny styrofoam cups they have. Lotus Express wanted to charge me $1.99 for a large tap water. So glad I went to Charley's instead. I ended up getting my lunch from Charley's Philly steaks, two counters down, where they gave me a large tap water for free :) The service was really fast and friendly at Charley's Philly steaks. I've been coming here since they opened, but some weeks are worse then others, like today!! I got there around 11:30am, so it's not like it was really crowded. There was one girl at the register, and one guy on the grill, where there's usually 2 working. It didn't take very long for them to get behind on orders, but it really wasn't their fault, they were doing the best they could. I got my usual Veggie Delight, fries, and a drink. I noticed there was a big tub of cooked fries, so it wasn't any surprise when I began eating them and realized they weren't that fresh. The 2nd problem was it seemed like who ever cut the onions didn't bother peeling off the outer skin, so I kept having to spit it out, as I ate my sandwich!! read more

This 20-year-old man took my order and he was so immature he was in paying attention to what I wanted he kept fooling around with the other employees that was working there. Two words delicious and heavy. This is definitely not a Subway style sandwich, lol. The sandwiches are good size even the small with lots of meat and cheese. I should've taken a picture! I paid $3 for about $1 worth of fries, and they were not very good at all. Sandwiches wise, we got a bacon steak and a BBQ steak. There's A LOT more bun than there was meat. Bacon tasted normal, not bad at all. The steak meat quality was poor and tasted bland. There's really no reason to go back unless you just need some edible food while at the mall, and there is nothing else you can eat. Besides food court and the restaurants, I'd also consider some pretzel dogs at Auntie Anne's. If you have a hankering for cheese steak, go to the Cheese Steak Shop! read more

My daughter went shopping at the Sun Valley mall today. She brought me home a Philly cheese steak sandwich. I had it for dinner. That sandwich is top notch. Very,very,very Good. Had 2 sandwiches from them, the California and the Stake. Both had good flavor and were filling, a really nice change from burgers and tacos if your looking for some fast food. Will eat there again. Want to try some of there other menu items. read more

The service is extreme slow. Literally, I've never seen employees move slower than the folks that work here. Everyone is in slow motion literally. There is no sense of urgency amongst the crew working. The line of people waiting for their food continued to grow and that did not seem to motivate anyone working behind the counter to pick up the pace. The fries were tasty and so was the cheesesteak. Ok so last night me and my family went shopping at the concord mall, we wer ther kind of late and we got hungry so i figgured lets try this CHARLEYS philly cheese stake, since the beginning it was nuthing but a pleasant experience dining at this place, when we first approched the gentlemen taking order, i believe his name is (jonathan) he was really courteous, polite helpfull and over all profetional. He proceeded to help me, my wife and my children make the right choice for my kids. I got a regular philly, my wife got the chiken philly as well as two of my kids, my older son hes 12 he got the large philly with bacon and i have to say eather they wer all reall hungry or they just loved the food. I also had a quick interaction with both alex, (cook) and jeovanni managger. Both wer real profetional and over all great people. I have to say this 3 make a hell of a teem. Great personalitty, and overall reall profetional. I loved the food and will again and again return ther to eat. With or without my familly lol. The food here is undeniably amazing. The fries are crispy and warm, and the chicken made my mouth melt. What I didn't like however was the fact that it took 25 minutes to receive my food. It's a fast food place, so I expected fast service. However due to the lack of kept time, this place offered me another delicious sandwich that I believe was worth the wait. read more

Absolutely the WORST Cheesesteak sandwich I have ever had. Their slogan claims to be the #1 Cheesesteak in the world. His is extremely laughable.
