The inside was very clean and the staff was hard at work. We ordered off the kiosk and got to spend as much time as needed figuring out what we wanted to order. I got the sweet & spicy bacon burger, fries and an OJ. My husband got a double Whataburger with fries and a fountain drink. Our food was brought out by a very pleasant and polite young lady with orange in her hair. I'm sad I didn't catch her name as she was wonderful! My OJ was missing but she had no problem grabbing me one when asked! We tried a fry on the way home, and I'm glad we did. We have about a 15 min drive and the fries did not hold up hot and fresh. They were still good, but that first car fry was amazing! We'll definitely dine in or eat the fries in the car next visit! The burgers were phenomenal. They were full of flavor and the toppings complemented them nicely! They were nice and hot when we got home as well! Only downside was the missing sauces in our bag. Not a deal breaker and I should have checked before we left, but it's okay! We have ketchup at home and I hadn't yet decided how to use my ranch! Great experience and we will be back to this location!

I ordered the #2 sliders, one Hot and one X-Hot... lol holy smokes the extra heat will light you up. I honestly can't even imagine trying the Reaper level. I also got a large chocolate milkshake and it was amazing -- super creamy and a perfect balance to the spice. The fries were awesome, perfectly seasoned, and surprisingly not too salty at all (which I really appreciated). Service was a little slow, but honestly? That's because everything is made fresh. I'll gladly wait a few extra minutes for hot, fresh food instead of something that's been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Overall, 9/10. Great food, bold flavors, and totally worth the visit. Highly recommend!

Service was pretty good, about what we expected; and the atmosphere was as advertised, bright colors, loud music, lots to look at. HOWEVER! if you like sweet with your hot, this chicken is well marinated, fried extra crispy and cooked to perfection. the crinkle cut fries are fantastic, crisp on the outside and still soft inside, dusted with a seasoning that, for those who like sugar, would be great. I highly recommend this place to the right customer, that customer just isn't me.

After ordering, it took maybe 5 minutes to get our food which felt decent for the fresh food! There was a steady flow of to-go orders so it seems to be a popular spot. I ordered the Popper Topper Burger, although I do get the jalapeños on the side. I was expecting a little bit more to be honest. It was cheesy and delicious, but the patty itself was lacking any flavor. This was shocking because the menu described it to be "Cajun seasoned" but it felt very plain. The fries were my favorite part by far!!! Unlike other places, this had plenty of toppings. Normally, once you eat the top layer the underside is dry. Not here! I was covered in cheese sauce by the end of the meal. If you're in the mood for some really good fries, definitely check it out!

This location of Big Burger Spot is tucked away by a dingy looking gas station, in a parking lot…read moreyou'll almost miss as you drive past the adjacent Walmart entrance. While the exterior is a far cry from the "vibrant patio" the restaurant description promises, the interior opens into a clean, bright space, which is more spacious than one might expect. On the front counter you will see an artistically designed menu board, depicting the many creative offerings available here. When I invited my coworkers to join me here for lunch, 2 immediately began ardently affirming my choice, regretful they could not join me but promising I would love it. In this moment, vague memories of them talking about this "really good burger place at the gas station" for months on end began to come back to me, as I realized they had been indirectly recommending it for a while. On the other hand, my 3rd coworker, who was in a separate room and had not heard their high praises, told me that it was "overrated" and "fine but not that special." Lol. Needless to say, I had absolutely no idea what to make of it all when I arrived. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter asked if I had ever been there, before patiently walking me through the various sections of the menu and helping me pick something out. I settled on the Popper Topper, which promised Cajun spices and fried jalapeño coins, among other various toppings. At its smallest size (big), it only cost $10.99. I also ordered bacon and cheddar fries. My initial impressions upon receiving my food (quite quickly, I might add) is that 1) the restaurant's name is perfect and 2) this is a very good quantity per dollar and an absolutely absurd calorie per dollar meal, especially in 2025. For right at $20, I got a huge burger and enough fries to satiate 2-3 people. I cannot fathom what the larger burger sizes look like, much less who could possibly be ordering them. The fries were everything I could have asked for -- crispy, salty, and with a very generous amount of both cheddar sauce and bacon (the perfect amount to have sauce on every bite but not be soggy). The burger was good, and definitely satisfied that primal craving for salt and fat that we all carry with us from hunter-gatherer days gone by. However, I wouldn't say it was particularly spicy, nor did its flavor deviate significantly from any generic burger I could order. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I think that the fried jalapeño coins are breaded a little on the thicker side, which somewhat mutes the spice and slight acidity that they would otherwise add to this dish, to help cut through and brighten the other flavors. All in all, I had a great meal and would totally come back, but I don't think I've tried the "perfect" burger from here yet. Definitely going to recommend this to anyone in the area.

Like most Cook Out spots it can get crazy at peak times, that's why I like that they open at 10:30! I popped in here because I had called in a take out order at Golden Wok for the evening meal - more on that later. The food here is "real food made simple", and it is good food as well. The burgers are really nice (I especially like the Big Double with Cheese), the hot dogs follow suit ( both the chili dog and the dog with mustard and kraut), the Spicy Chicken sandwich is excellent (rivaling Popeye's and KFC), and even the BBQ is good, a fair Eastern NC version. On this trip I had Hot Dog with mustard & kraut and a Big Double with Cheese, Lettuce & Tomato. I don't get mayo on sandwiches here because the mayo they use is thin and runny, drips out on everything - I have the dry cleans bills to support that! I carry small packets of Duke's and apply it myself. These items were very good - well cooked and well packaged (not a given at Cook Out locations). I am happy for this restaurant chain's success. They continue to expand and now stretch from Maryland to Alabama and Florida, and across to Ky , and Tn, with the total locations currently right at 300 in 10 states.

But first, let's talk about the amazing sides. Crispy tots, hand battered onion rings, and a mac n cheese to blow your lid off...these were the bomb! But the burger took this place to another level. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly. I'm a medium rare steak man, but I like my burgers at a solid medium. They cooked it to perfection. A tender and thick patty with an amazing crust. The kicker is the smoky flavor you get throughout. Add in a fresh brioche bun and amazing toppings, and you have a perfect burger from top to bottom. And they're not short on variety either. If you can think it, they can make it. Great location with plenty of parking and a super friendly staff.
