    3rd update UPDATE: I want to clarify a few points in response to your reply. First, this is not about the $45 visit fee. The cost itself is not the issue--this is about being put on record regarding the pattern of care and billing practices. Second, you stated that you do not pre-charge for services. However, on our first visit, we were charged for a second visit in advance, meaning that follow-up was already paid for. That directly contradicts what is being stated here. Third, you mentioned this is based on "medical judgment and standard of care." That may be the case, but we have formally requested a written explanation outlining the specific medical necessity, and we still have not received a direct response addressing those questions. That lack of transparency is a major concern. Also, across each visit, we were consistently presented with additional products and services, including items that were not brought up previously. From a client perspective, it feels less like a clear treatment plan and more like separate billable visits. For additional context, we sought a second opinion, and another veterinarian prescribed the same medication without requiring repeated visits for the same condition. That further raises questions about the necessity of the approach taken here. At this point, I am simply asking for a clear, written medical justification for requiring another exam for the same condition despite prior visits. This matter has been escalated, and I will continue to follow through until it is properly addressed.

    I generally don't write one-star reviews but in this case I think I should because people need to know what's going on and this business needs to take corrective action. I selected one star because it's for "not good" even though the service I received on Monday could have been rated at 4 stars except for one thing. I'll explain. My cat had emergency surgery last weekend at TrueCare Studio City for an abscess infection of one of her anal sacs. She went in Saturday at 2AM and I picked her up at 6 AM. I had to take her back again Saturday afternoon because they wanted to see her after I called to let them know she was not urinating even though she was straining in the litter box. She finally produced her first urination at 6 AM on Monday morning, so she had not urinated for 48 hours plus. I was quite concerned for her. To Rainbow's credit, they gave me an early appointment on Monday and I was glad to have it. And during the appointment they gave my cat an antibiotic shot that has proven to be very helpful. However, my cat needs further treatment of her anal sacs. But, the doctor told me that he would not treat my cat unless she gets a Rabies vaccine. I tried to explain to the doctor that my cat has not done well after previous vaccinations and that I did not want her to be vaccinated but he would hear none of it. No Rabies vaccination, no treatment. I tentatively agreed to the vaccination (thankfully, they were not able to give it concurrently with the antibiotic) and set up my next appointment for Wednesday. In the meanwhile, I called the Burbank Animal Shelter to get the lowdown on Rabies vaccines for cats and was told that they are not required by law in Burbank. So on Wednesday morning early, I called Rainbow to inform them of this and they said they could transfer me to another doctor who was 'less strict' for an appointment on Thursday or Friday. At the point, I cancelled my appointment and will be taking my cat elsewhere. Bottom line: if the Rabies vaccine is not required by law in the City of Burbank, it is the customer's choice, not the doctor's dictate, to get this vaccine for your cat. I hope this review helps someone and causes Rainbow to change their policy.

They also work at the front and are always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Their energy also leaves you confident in dropping your cub off and going about your day. Most handlers in the yard have also been wonderful from what I've seen. At the end of the day, this is the only place I fully trust with my dog. I feel confident he's safe here, and while I appreciate having cameras available, I don't feel the need to constantly check them, which says a lot.

I…read morehave been debating writing this but if I didn't share this, I do not think it would be fair. I have referred 2 people here who also regularly bring their dogs. I brought my dog Fred here for years. He loved it. We started off doing day care 8/9 years ago or so and it led to me dropping him off for up to 2 weeks at a time when I traveled. I never ever worried. The second we would pull in, he'd go crazy from excitement. If I didn't love this place, I would not have continued to come back as many times as we did or refer this place. 2 times out of the last 3 times that Fred ever came here was devastating that I knew of. I have OCD and I am a crazy dog mom and always label/explain everything. The first bad experience was them not feeding him one of the days. When I picked him up and we came home, I unpacked his bag and notice once completely full days worth of his food. I was so sad and upset. I felt horrible. I called and talked to Midhi the manager and he apologized, credited me back for the visit and also said the had a staff meeting and the girl who forgot to feel him felt horrible was crying. He said the would fully look into this and find out exactly what happened. He did indeed do that and gave me great customer service as they figured out what happened to Fred not getting fed one full day. I trusted that this would not happen again. As horrible as that felt, I had been coming here for years and NEVER had an issue. I didn't care about the $, I cared about my soul dog being taken care of and fed. He apologized many times and put a credit on my account and promised me that this will never happen again. The next time I dropped him off for boarding I was nervous. So I called to make sure he was fed. I did check ups and it made me feel better. Then something terrible happened the very next time. They forgot this time to give him his carprofen pain meds and all his supplements. He was a senior by this time and once again, I got home, unpacked his bag and saw one days worth was still in the ziplock back. How could this happen again? I was devastated. I called and also text the manager since I had his phone number from the other time. They didn't really respond to me at all this next time. Poor Fred came here because it was fun and safe and now he didn't get his meds? I trusted this place for YEARS and brought my dog here. I never ever brought him back here. How can something like being fed or giving a dog his meds be overlooked? This is a place you bring your beloved pet to be taken care of. What is wrong with the staff? What happened here? Why did they do this to him? God bless Fred as he in now in heaven and I have moved out of the area. I have replayed these moments in my head many times in the last couple years and finally decided to come forward with my truth of them being negligent here. I would recommend calling everyday at feeding time to make sure they fed your dog and also making sure your dogs meds were given. It's really unfortunate I had to write this review after so long but it's the right thing to do.

    This update is a bit overdue (this happened last year in April of 2025), but it's been a very tough…read moretime. The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.
