Charlie's Giambotta (with rye toast)
David P.

Very nice breakfast at Charlie's Place this morning. Sue was very friendly and efficient handling the orders and refilling coffee frequently. Ordered the Giambotta and the Mountain. Both were very good filling. Highly recommend this quaint local spot.

Small mom and pop shop, very local locals. The mushroom omelette was good but the used canned mushrooms. Reasonably priced. Nothing special here. Service was good.

Eggs Rosario - Eggs Benedict over spinach on an English muffin with a side of crispy hash brown.

Quiet and cozy diner for a comforting simple breakfast on a dreary morning. I got the Eggs Rosario because I had heard my sister-in-law's dad had a dish named after him. I had to stop by and try it out. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and perfectly lemony. It paired well with the spinach. I was most worried about how the poached eggs would come out, but they were just right. Beautifully set egg whites with a runny delicately encased yolk. I have yet to have a single bad experience whenever I've eaten at Charlie's. I am always satisfied with each meal had and would recommend if asked.

Complete Breakfast - two eggs over easy, toast, hash brown, and bacon

Came here for breakfast to catch up with people Pros: - Cute place around the area - there are quotes all over the place - Feels very homey Cons: - Got the complete breakfast for around $11 - everything was extremely bland, the toast and hash brown were burnt - Didn't receive a friendly vibe from our server - looked very annoyed

What a great little place really cute diner style roadside coffee breakfast and lunch awesome people very friendly very talkative very very very delicious breakfast Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream the best ever you have to go there And enjoy the food

Nothing extraordinary about it. It's a decent place don't get me wrong. Good breakfast food, good and friendly atmosphere. But there are better, similar restaurants in the area. Their omelets and potato hash were good, but the pancake unfortunately weren't. They were overcooked, and I barely had 2 bites of it.

The Cinnamon french toast is great!

If you're looking for a great diner with a hometown feel this is your place. Disregard it's quaint presence on the outside because their service is extremely fast, the wait staff is quite friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are fair. It has the feel of getting a home cooked meal and you can roll in with whatever clothes you happen to be wearing and not feel out I place. I love this diner!

Breakfast AND lunch are always delicious!

I've sat on this review for a week trying to decide if I wanted to share a not-so-flattering…read moreexperience. However, if there is a chance that Swifty's management may read this, along with fellow diners, it may be helpful for the future. The overall experience, food, and service was good. Clearly, this place and its 2 sister locations know how to be successful. But what we experienced could either be because a rogue chef or location manager is trying to cut corners - or - it could be the philosophy of the company to try and nickel-and-dime the customer to reduce costs and take advantage of those who won't notice. My boys and I ordered 20 wings to start, my oldest had a burger to follow, and my younger really wanted to focus on wings, so only ordered fries. I had the. Cheeseburger wrap with onion rings and coleslaw. Wings: crispy, tasty, and really good blue cheese. BUT...when they came to the table, the baskets looked light. So... WE COUNTED THEM. ONLY 17. My (as the menu clearly states) "half pound burger in a wrap" was probably 1/4 of a pound light. Wait til you see the photo. So, all the good service and reasonably good food was ruined by Swifty's trying to either take advantage of customers incrementally hundreds of times a day (order by order) - or - they have a location chef and manager who tolerate food leaving their kitchen that is not as advertised or up to the standard which allowed them to open 3 locations. It's one or the other. Will we be back? I don't know. We really wanted this to be great. We live in the Northwest Corner of CT, my son goes to college in Rochester, this location is literally (to the mile) half-way between. We make the trip weekly due to his athletics schedule. We wanted to be regulars. Will probably look elsewhere next time. 2 stars for the front of the house service. It was excellent. And the blue cheese dressing. It was fantastic. If you go - count your wings and make sure what the menu says is on your plate.

The burgers are juicy, loaded, and exactly what you want when you're craving something unapologetically good. And the fries? Let's just say they don't believe in small portions and I'm not complaining. Is it fancy? Not even a little. Is it worth it every time? Absolutely.

Cup has changed to a small bag of fries. Very disappointing as this is one of my favorite items. Burgers were on the dry side but this is one of my favorite fast food hamburger joints. Item prices are higher for items but typically a better quality than McDonalds or Burger King. Restaurant was busy at this visit and staffed seemed overwhelmed as we had to go back up as our order/bill was not correct and dining area needed a little TLC. My other favorite thing is their soda machine's with all the different flavors. Great place for a quick bite

There is a counter to the left as you come in, followed by an unattractive cooler case with signs on it. In between is a bakery case that is small but had a nice selection when I was there. I ordered a cup of decaf and a small chocolate almond cupcake, for a price of $8. I declined the plastic box and sat down with the cupcake in an upholstered chair opposite the counter. I thought my coffee would be right up but it took many minutes. I almost left. The cupcake was small but good (fluffy cake, sugary frosting). Then I noticed the sign that said everything was gluten and dairy-free. Surprise! When the coffee was ready, the cream was put in for me. I guess it was nondairy. The coffee was warm like a keurig makes. I had noticed Lunch menus in a wall pocket and Brunch menus behind the counter. So this place is actually full restaurant for people with gluten and dairy allergies. The lunches all seemed to cost ~$18 and seemed inventive. Fries were available as a specialty. There were a lot of tables in the long, cool, dark room. It seemed like a decent place to have an undisturbed meal while talking with friends.
