finally got to try this super cute hole in the wall cafe. wasn't busy when I got there but somehow I must have attracted the crowd because the place really filled up. seems like a spot locals frequent. there are about 2-3 tables and chairs and a narrow counter space with stools to sit at. I got food and drinks to go for stern grove. coffee was good, though nothing special. soyrizo breakfast burrito was delicious, satisfied my cravings. I wanted to savor it for days but basically inhaled it tuna melt panini was also really good. they have pastries from bernal basket. staff were really nice and friendly. would recommend!! read more

This is one of the worst coffee places because of the poor customer service from the staff. I asked for a coffee with medium cream; and was giving a cold coffee with more cream than what I had ordered. I asked for less cream possible when I got it. The woman, said I needed to pay for an additional coffee even when a 20% tip was giving before for the previous coffee. I said I would pay but I that I would put the cream myself like in other coffee shops. The lady said no, that she would not allow it. I said I would not get the coffee then, she said "fine". Worst customer service with the woman showing an attitude. Please don't remove this, they only leave the "good" reviews on purpose. This is a violation to people's right to write a honest review just because they don't like it. read more

Charm Coffee graces Ingleside as it's new coffee spot. Like its moniker, the place is charming. A few tables inside and quite cramped. It wouldn't be a spot for the typical college student trying to focus to get that B+ as they write their papers. Their coffee does taste good- props to them for picking out their coffee beans. Low acidity, smokey and gives you that boost of caffeine you need for the day. Being right on Ocean ave, parking will pose as a challenge but shouldn't be an issue for Muni riders since the K stops are within a block away. Stopped here for a quick coffee before heading to yoga and am glad I did. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk sweetened with honey. My partner ordered a cortado with whole milk. Both were delicious and I appreciated that the matcha latte was made with the wooden whisk as it's supposed to be. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the drinks and the server was extremely friendly. There are some tables and stools here but limited outlet access. I'd gladly stop by here again next time I'm in need of a caffeine pick me up! read more

I was super excited to find out a new coffee shop opened on Ocean Ave. Charm Coffee's aesthetic and branding is super cute and totally drew me in, hoping that the coffee would be just as impressive. Honestly, it's just "fine." The menu is not super exciting, which it doesn't necessarily have to be if a business wants to position itself as a specialist in a few drinks. My first visit, I ordered an iced matcha latte, and opted to have it sweetened. (With what? Idk). And truly the matcha just tasted kinda bland. It tasted neither grassy but also not bitter. It certainly didn't taste sweet. I opted to give this place a second chance and try their espresso. I ordered a hot latte, which I asked to be sweetened with simple syrup (the most basic bet out of very few options). The coffee was really smooth and the milk was frothy. But didn't leave a particular impression on me. It's just "fine." If I'm in the area, perhaps I'll stop by. As for the physical space, it's small. There are a couple tables, but this definitely isn't a "sit down and do work" type of cafe, which was a bummer. But they're doing a lot with a little which I can respect! For how hard their branding is carrying them, I hope to see their menu expand OR that they create some fun drinks. Sadly there weren't seasonal options when I visited, but that might sway my opinion next time! I'll update this review if I feel my experience has changed. read more

Charm coffee is one of the best things about our neighborhood! The owner is always cheerful and thoughtful (my wife is a teacher who was dashing to work and didn't have time to wait and the owner sent a coffee for her with one of her coworkers!) and the coffee is top notch (try the espresso tonic with a slice of dried orange on a hot day, it's wonderful). And Ocean is easy for parking, if you're just driving through. read more
