I'd give them 0 stars for the service they provided today. Chart House has always been my pick of restaurants to eat at during my stay in Atlantic City. However, today I waited 30+ minutes after my appetizers came out only to receive cold entrees which I couldn't even stomach. I complained to the manager who then disappeared to the back with our waitress. Our waitress then came back and wrapped our food up and informed us that the manager would probably take the entrees off of our bill but then handed us a bill at full price. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I hope you like your 2 dollar tip Brigid. You just lost a great customer. read more

It's a great view great ambiance great bar.....but the worst service ever. Their bloody mary was phenomenal their oysters just ok but their happy hour specials were great when we sat down to dinner it took forever to get our waiter I ordered the ménage soup which was a sampling of their lobster bisque clam chowder and gazpacho all three were great. Our entrees were filet medallions that we're served with potatoes and asparagus and I had the pasta far diablo which was great sadly after we were done our dinner and it took half an hous for the plates to be cleared and a half an hour went by before our desert came out so there was a full hour lag between servings the lava cake was great. Sadly I would not come back because of the service it gets three stars though for how great the food and ambiance was. read more

I'm usually pretty snobby when it comes to casino restaurants (feel there are better, more reasonably priced places in town), but I actually liked this spot. The view of the city and the bay are great and the food was pretty good. Where's is located, you can see all the casinos across the bay, so its a great spot to watch the sun go down and the city light up. I expected the food to be good, and it was, but I think it was the atmosphere that made the strongest impression on me. read more

Dec 25: Went to AC for Christmas with my mother. Stayed at the Tropicana but drove to Charthouse for Christmas dinner. We have eaten there a lot of times. It's not one of my faves but I have to say I had the New Surf and Turf for dinner and it was delicious. For an app, I had the chopped salad which I didn't finish. Salad is a large portion. My mother had the shrimp cocktail (almost a very large portion) and the chicken romano. My mother has a bad stomach so the fact that the chicken was dry and bland was good for her but I wouldn't order it. Our waiter was nice and explained everything we inquired about. What I didn't like is not long after the apps were done, the food was there. No doubt to turn the table over quickly but when I'm out or away I like to relax and take my time. Digest. If you want good wine a glass will cost about $12. The place is slightly expensive. The view is superb. It's right on the harbor. No doubt we will be back because my mother likes it. read more

Very disappointed! We looked forward to eating here; unfortunately our experience was very off putting. from the moment we walked in the hostess was very unwelcoming. our server was cold and neglectful. we waiting over 30 mins for bread while every other tables received bread. When I asked why the bread took so long, the server was unapologetic and claimed tht it was in the oven. we ordered a steak well done and it came out very pink. The server attempted to have it put back on the grill as if she doesn't know tht cooking a cut steak would dry it out even more. we asked for a new steak and a manager at that point. A "manager" bought the new steak. She did not even tell us that she was the manager. She literally stood there. I had to ask "is the manager coming "? She replied "I'm the manager". She completely down played my concerns saying, "I'm sorry, I don't know what else I can do". At that point I was so disgusted by the nonchalant attitude that I literally asked for the check and refused to eat another bite. Another manager came (an older gentleman) and tried to make up for the bad experience. He was very sweet however at that point I was extremely turned off by the poor service. As for the food, the ny strip was very lackluster. Although juicy, it was flavorless. The lobster tail did not taste fresh at all. You would think that you would receive better service and food from a place tht charges $98/plate ( $48 a steak plus $45 for lobster tail). I will not be returning here ever again. save your money and your dignity and dine elsewhere read more

We came here for our anniversary a Sunday before Presidents' Day. We arrived 45 min before our reservation to take advantage of happy hour. The bar was small but we were able to get a spot in the lounge. We requested a table by the windows and the view was incredible. We started with Caesar salads, I had the pan seared scallops and my husband had the filet. Both were cooked to perfection. We finished with the lava cake which we guiltily polished off. We were concerned about the quality because AC restaurants are usually overpriced and mediocre, but this meal was amazing and worth every penny. read more

Went for a nice meal before a show at the GN. Big mistake. Our party of 3 ordered the Seafood Tower to share as an appetizer. For $68, we got 3 small crab legs, 2 modest lobster tails, 4 oysters, 3 clams, 4 shrimp, and enough ice to build an igloo. At that price, that amount of food is preposterous. We talked with the manager (more about that later). 2 of us split the spinach salad; the spinach was wilted. For entrees, we ordered the lamb chops, the prime rib, and the short rib. The lamb chopswere delicious but overpriced, and the fingerling potato side was good. The prime rib was not of the highest quality, and the side mashed potatoes were good but lukewarm. The short rib, for $26, was slightly larger than a deck of cards and did not come with any sides; it was good, though. For sides, we ordered the "sizzling mushrooms", which were not sizzling. For dessert, we split the chocolate lava cake. We gave the waiter 90 minutes warning, and it still came out late enough that we had to shovel it in our mouths to make the show on time. Service was leisurely at best; after 60 minutes, all we had been served was the bread basket and the Seafood "Tower". There were other miscues by the servers, such as forgetting to bring butter with the bread basket and not giving us enough forks for dessert. Overall, we spent 1:45 at the table; had we sat down at our reservation time and not arrived 30 minutes early, we would have missed the start of the show We spoke with the manager to voice our displeasure; this was an expensive meal. We got a 10% discount not including drinks. Even after this discount, and including a tip, we spent $280. Had the meal been $200 I would give them 2 stars, but not at that price. Not all was bad though; the drinks, especially the spicy Bloody Mary, were excellent and the view is nice. But you can do a lot better for pre-show food. read more

sat night my friends and i decided to have a birthday dinner at the chart house in golden nugget, atlantic city. the view is absolutely beautiful. we enjoyed the appetizers (must try the lobster/shrimp rolls, tuna tartar and the crab cakes!!) for dinner i had the filet mignon which was really good and tender, but slightly cold. my boyfriend had the lobster tail and absolutely enjoyed it. i do recommend this place and will definitely come back next time i am in town! read more

Reservations for a summer Saturday night - we had a yummy drink at the bar prior to our 6pm reservation (Happy Hour only during the week fyi) and were lead to the south side of the restaurant with a window view of the Marina. Lovely, but quite warm and the overall feel of the restaurant made me ask if the air conditioning could be cooler. Excellent Chart House menu - we ordered the grilled watermelon salad, beet salad and then scallops with pasta and the grilled salmon with mango salsa. Very good over all, bread was delicious, wine offerings were wonderful and our waiter was attentive and helpful with menu questions. Didn't have dessert as we were going to a concert, but if you are at the Golden Nugget, the view and location are worth the time. read more

Had a great experience here on new years eve eve. Waiters/hostesses were very friendly and the food was great. I got the filet mignon medium with mashed potatos and loved it. My friends all got the ribeye and split the lobster mac n cheese and they definitely enjoyed it. It was mostly an elderly crowd but they put us at a table where we were able to have fun/drink. We were choosing between mccormicks and schmicks or chart house for happy hour and so glad we went with chart house! Their happy hour menu was pretty good compared to some other restaurants who barely had anything on their menu. We got the prime rib sliders, chicken lettuce wrap, chart house sampler, and fish tacos. Everything was delicious and it was just enough to food for two people. They has a great happy hour drinks menu. The mojito was delicious. Our server was really nice and always there when we needed her. It's a first come, first serve basis. So get there soon! The whole bill came to little less then $40 for everything! Good prices and good food! Totally worth it and would come back! read more

I was extremely disappointed about my dining experience here! The food was unappealing, tasteless, overcooked and over-priced! The bread tasted stale. What's described in the menu is not what is presented to you. The only thing saving this place is the magnificent view, cocktails and their desserts. Their lobster macn'cheese was overrated, the Mahi was salty and overlooked, and the Caesar salad had too much dressing. I would've had a better meal experience at a cafeteria. The customer service was good, and our waiter was very pleasant. I wasn't even motivated to take any pics of the food. However, my friends enjoyed their coconut shrimp appetizer. read more

My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary. I had made a reservation weeks prior. We showed up for our 8 pm reservation and were advised by other customers walking out that the electric was out for an hour. When I spoke with host they said sorry we can make another reservation. I was shocked that an establishment like this doesn't have the capability to pull up their reservation list from their phone or better yet print it prior to guests arriving. Luckily after asking for recommendations of where to eat they were kind enough to call another restaurant and reserve a table. I was so upset that our tradition was ruined but the fact that we weren't notified or Compensated for the inconvenience of taking a taxi from our hotel or gift card to come back. I know they had no control over the electric but they should be prepared next time. Thank you chart house for referring us to another restaurant. We won't be back. read more

We spent a lot of time waiting for our server to get bread, entrees, dessert, bill, etc. she wished us a happy anniversary even though our menus had "Happy Birthday" printed on it. My "King" crab legs were more like snow crab....short and skinny. Maybe 6 oz crab meat for both legs....market price $57. I think Tillman needs to check in with his seafood distributor. We wanted to get one of the special desserts but our server never came to remind us to place the order....as a matter of fact, she didn't come for our dessert order until 10 minutes after we finished our entree!!
