Salmon with crab, Steamed Asparagus and sea bass with lobster risotto
    Amy V.

Made a reservation online. When we got there, they were running a little late but communicated that to us and it wasn't a big deal. We asked to sit out side and they seated us. What was strange was we had a folding table and chairs. There was an event going on which was fine but the table was wobbly and the chairs were uncomfortable. The view was amazing, our service was great. We loved the recommendations on the food and enjoyed everything else. The calm chowder and lobster bisque was amazing. Sea bass and salmon with crab delicious. The mini lava cake was to die for. They gave a free dessert red velvet cake for celebrating my mom and I. We would def come back but make sure we are at a normal table. Loved it otherwise.

Service was great, they were running late on there reservations so it took them about 20 minutes to seat us. Great views we got a table next to the window so we could see the Dana Point Harbor. However they sat a large party next to us about halfway through our dining and they were extremely loud and my girlfriend and I could barely hear each other talk. Food was all great except our entree's where they put way too much salt on our fish both my sea bass and her halibut were like a salt bomb.

Came for happy hour before dinner. The bar has beautiful views of the harbor and comfortable seating. Our waitress took our order, part came out, but there was a long delay before we got an additional order. We did enjoy the coconut shrimp and truffle fries. Our water and my ice tea never was refilled. And when we had to move to our table for dinner, our waitress made several errors on our bill. We has a nice table with a view for dinner. My salmon was a bit overdone and dry, but my fiancés prime rib was cooked perfectly and delicious. The key lime pie was perfect for dessert. I would definitely give this place another try. The view is fantastic, especially at sunset.

Came here to celebrate a special occasion and left very disappointed. We ordered the happy hour lettuce wraps, and as soon as they were served, we noticed multiple bugs in the lettuce. (We weren't sitting outside). When we told our waiter, instead of apologizing, he simply said, "It happens." He offered to replace the dish, so we ordered the spinach dip instead because our appetite was ruined. However, we were still charged for the spinach dip replacement. Mistakes happen, but the lack of hospitality and how this was handled made for a very disappointing experience.

This was a tough one. We dined here for my aunts birthday on a Friday evening at 5 pm. Host and initial seating: 1 star. Not friendly. I understand it was busy but no guidance or direction or estimate or information. Seated late which isn't a big deal. We got a table that didn't have a good view and saw an empty one of the same size 2 tables over. We asked to be seated there and she told us. We would have to wait, that she doesn't know how long, and that everyone is celebrating something. We decided to take the initial seats.we called to ask for special printed menus for the birthday and confirmed. There was no menu and the host again was rude and just said she doesn't know anything about it. No apology, no offer to resolve. There is a tiny bar area you can go to wait. She didn't tell us about it. And there isn't much room (maybe why she didn't say anything ) Server. 5 stars. He was extra accommodating and friendly and I think he felt bad by the hosts dismissive responses. Food. Mix ratings. Big portions. Prime rib: chewy. 3 stars. Would not recommend Blackened salmon. Good. Maybe 3.5 stars. Kind of dry Bronzed salmon. Really good. 4.5 stars.juicy and cooked well. Lobster tail add in was cooked well also but small. Flounder francese 5 stars. Lots of flavor on this one. Perfectly crispy on most of it. But some parts could be a little hard. Would order again. Shrimp cocktail. Delicious. 5 stars. View; 5 stars. Parking. They have valet. Looks like a lot of people park in the street. Even at 5 pm it was packed. Valet folks were really friendly. Highly recommend to go get the Landry's gift card from Costco. It's worth it with that discount.

Great food and views! I had the Chilean sea bass it was so good!!! It was a lovely date night! We had a great server! Highly recommend! Parking is valet or street parking!

Bruschetta with a sun dried tomato twist. Basil oil was delicious

Have only been here for their wine dinners and the food has been on point. Our latest trip this past weekend featured Stags' Leap (note the position of the apostrophe, I learned something new at the dinner that there are two wineries in Napa with the same name separated only by the apostrophe position and about 2 miles of physical locations they are in the same AVA). Service was great and plenty of glass top offs at this event. Well worth the price of admission. Food was delicious and you get a great view of the sunset on the patio if you arrive early.

What a lovely time we had at The Chart House! Shandrea was our server and she was just so lovely and accommodating. I took my mom for her birthday and they brought her a yummy piece of cake at the end. Mom ordered the grilled salmon with Israeli Couscous and it was delicious! Salmon cooked perfectly. I opted the shellfish route with oysters and mussels which were quite good. Beautiful view of the harbor as well. Seafood restaurants usually are a bit pricier but this place was worth it.

I always have a great experience at this chart house location. The views are spectacular. I enjoy the happy hour as well as the chart your own course dinners. They always have excellent service and a manager is typically in and makes sure you're having a good experience.

Key West halibut it was so good so much flavor definitely recommend it

We've tried almost all of the well-known steakhouses in Orange County, and Bourbon Steak was by far one of our best experiences, if not the best. Everything was excellent. We had the Filet Mignon, Delmonico (Ribeye), and the Wagyu steak special, along with the Truffle Mac & Cheese, Potato Purée, and Mushrooms. The Wagyu filet was exceptionally tender and delicious, and every steak was cooked exactly the way we requested. The quality of the food was outstanding. Our server, Dulce, was wonderful, very friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made our anniversary dinner feel extra special, and the rest of the staff was just as warm and professional. One of the highlights of the evening was when Chef Justin personally brought us a complimentary caviar appetizer. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Later, the restaurant manager also surprised us with a complimentary cake and ice cream to help us celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, which made the evening feel even more special. I very rarely give a restaurant a full five-star rating, but Bourbon Steak absolutely deserves five stars. Beyond the excellent quality of the food, a big reason for that rating was the exceptional service from Dulce, Chef Justin, the manager, and the rest of the team. Another wonderful part of the experience is the location. Since the restaurant is inside the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort, you can also enjoy the resort grounds and atmosphere before or after dinner, which makes the whole evening even more enjoyable. The combination of excellent food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service made our 20th anniversary dinner truly memorable. We've visited many great steakhouses throughout Orange County, but Bourbon Steak really stood out. We will definitely be back.

It was especially disappointing because this is not something I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The manager came over, sincerely apologized, and removed the salad from our bill, which we appreciated. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it was still a disappointing experience at a restaurant that has always held such high standards. I'm hopeful this was just an isolated incident because we've always enjoyed dining here in the past.

They are a week apart so we combined them. Very sneaky spot because it is not visible like a regular restaurant, but that just adds to the ambiance. Had reservations at 8 PM and our seats were on the second floor where we had a view of the wonderful sunset. We were seated in a both that fits 6, but it was better because the food was spaced out nicely on the table for easy access. My wife tried the Lady Luck cocktail which has vodka and others very a very tasty drink. We ordered the party house dinner rolls that that were ok. We also got the Lobster Crab Mac n Cheese. OMG this was so good. The melt cheese, the chunks of crab and chunks lobster made this an exquisite item to eat. We could not stop talking about how good it was. It also had cheese crated over the top as well. Lastly we got the Executive platter which is a collection of steak that the chef chooses. Our platter had filet mignon, 40 day dry aged New York Strip, and a 35 day dry aged Ribeye. All three were fantastic. We could not stop gushing over the ribeye and how well it was prepared and tasted. The steaks were all seasoned to perfection and did not require anything added to them . They also serve them with 3 sauces, but they are not needed at all. They also brought us small dessert for our birthday which was scoops of ice cream, but we were so full that we could not eat all of them. This place is worth the price and the staff and management were great. Special thanks to Daren. But special thanks to the tall slender gentleman who helped us. I ended up getting the Caesar salad, which comes with lemon, fried anchovy, and a ton of pecorino, and they were not kidding about the pecorino. It was literally like a blanket over the whole thing. But this Caesar was probably one of the best I've ever had. It was so good I literally didn't share it with anybody, I was like nope, I'm eating this whole thing by myself. The flavor, the pepper, the anchovies, the lemon, everything was so perfectly balanced. Even the waitress was super sweet and told me if I needed a salad, as basic as it sounds, the Caesar is the go to. She was absolutely right, phenomenal salad. We also got the beef marrow tartare dip thing that came with potato chips. It was good, nothing too crazy to say about it honestly. The Parker House rolls though, those we got as a side and they came out buttery, juicy, and just really good. The truffle came right through, these were phenomenal and absolutely a must have to go along with that Caesar. Then there's the bacon, which sounds crazy, it's literally just called bacon and it's this fat thick four inch slab, one single piece, and it was so so so good. I was absolutely shocked by it. For my main I went with the forty day dry aged bone in New York strip. It was pretty dang good, wouldn't say I was completely blown away, but I have a hard time with steak places in general because I always compare them to how I make a steak at home, and I still think I can make a better one myself. That said, this was very good, great crunch and crisp on the edge, those nice burnt increased edges, seasoned perfectly, and a spot on medium rare, so no complaints there. For sixty bucks though I just have a hard time paying for it, even if it was very good. The one that stole the whole night, hands down and by far, was the dessert. I don't remember what it was called but it was like this pancake ice cream, buttery, gooey, delicious, light and airy heaven. I literally apologized at the table and said I'm going to eat this entire thing, and I did just that. It was awesome. The ambiance and decoration of this place is straight up fine dining, you can feel and see it, and they even have actual dry aged beef ribs on display which is really cool. Not bad at all. I'd recommend it as a high end spot, just not somewhere I'd go consistently since I can do better at home. But that dessert dish, whatever the heck it was, I would go back for that alone. Best dish of the night for sure.
