Our experienced is pretty much on theme with other customers and that's very unfortunate. We had an appointment at 2:30 and at first waited 10 mins since the banker Xcyl was helping another customer (this time overlapped with our confirmed appointment). We were only acknowledged by one of the tellers who then communicated with us that Xcyl had another call that was being prioritized and that we would have to wait another 20 mins to be helped. This is completely unacceptable and bad customer service. The only reason why I'm giving two stars is the teller who was kind enough to communicate with us about what was going on. We will not be returning to this location, but Chase please get it together. read more

I wanted to purchase currency for a different country and they couldn't help me. The man who didn't not want to help me wore a tan button down shirt with a gray shirt on Friday November 22nd 2024 at 9:23 am. He has facial hair. He was at the second open window. I asked, " how much is the rate to exchange for another country". He said" there is no way to check unless we did go with the transaction" I said, "okay what if I do $300 right now for purchase?" He said "there's s no way to check" other locations have no problem checking for me: Walnut Creek employees ( on south main) pinole employees and Richmond employees (hilltop mall road) have no issues in helping me figuring it out. This is a decent bank branch to visit for all your banking needs, the tellers are very friendly and the bankers usually provide service within a timely manner. They do get very busy during peak hours, so for basic services like deposits and withdrawals, it is often faster and less of a headache to use the ATMs at the entrance. read more

Tried making an account at this bank. I had an appointment scheduled and when I arrived the bank was unexpectedly closed due to the building being painted (even though nearby businesses also were being painted and were open). Was told by a worker inside after knocking that I could come back Monday. After going back I was told to make another appointment for the next day. Was leaving the house when I got a call from the same man I've been making appointments with that their "system is down". Seems like they just want to lessen the workload lol. read more

She is lazy and turn customers away if she thinks it will cause her to stay after closing. It's happened to me more than once by her and I am livid. Literally the worst !! Every time i go in they always only have like 1-2 tellers! The line is always super long and yet they have a greeter greeting everyone when they should have them on a computer assisting customers! They have 6 windows and yet only use 2! The last 2 windows are even blocked by an atm which proves even more that are consistently under staffed ! I hate this bank. Go to Wells Fargo down the street! So much better. Not to mention some stupid rule on not being able to deposit money into someone else acct. How bizzare is that that I'm unable to deposit money into someone's acct? Since it's located in a big shopping center, parking is easier than other branches especially in downtown. In this branch, same bankers don't stay there. It's as if each time I go there, those who helped me before aren't there any new people are there. Very transient. Chase Bank itself can be annoying as hell, however, people in this branch have been helpful to me in most occasions. I really hate ALL BANKS, but I have to have bank accounts because I run a small business and without bank account there will be no way of surviving. Since all of my issues or concerns are business related, only business account persons had helped me. In my experience with those, I find them knowledgeable of the content of banking service and very capable of explaining to me what's going on. I am an ex-customer of Bank of America, which I believe a financial institution from Hell. Compared to Bank of America, I like Chase because of its convenience. read more

The wait to get anything done here is out of control. This is the fourth time I'm coming in, simply to change my pin because chase sent me a new debit card with a random pin. The employees are clearly miserable, because they've shared each time that they are due to the district manager consistently changing their "greeting strategy." They're as confused as I am -- With years in service, whoever is in charge of this mess has no idea what they're doing and they do not have the buy in of their employees. Let's start off with how rude and lazy Dennis is there was a person going before me he didn't even have the courtesy to come get the customer he said he called the customer then finally came and looked for him because he didn't answer the phone and the customer said well I've been sitting here for a minute the number on his account was wrong so why call if the person is in the bank? It was finally my turn it took him eight minutes to come get me after the last customer left yes I counted my time because I waited a decent amount of time already and you can just tell with his vibe and energy he did not want to help customers the branch manager was getting all the customers to leave because he was the only banker that's not my fault he's the only banker. This bank is completely helpless. I came in around 430 pm to open an account. I was turned away in a heart beat and was told nothing is available until next week. I went to another Chase bank which had the same amount of staff working there. They took me in to help me open a account and made sure my time was valued. The bank does not close until 6pm. The lady that was greeting 08/01/17 around the time I walked could've been helping someone instead turning people away. I was not the only one turned away, but I think its ridiculous the fact there was still one in a half hour until closing and they couldn't have taken someone just to open a account. There were 4 employees at the front of the store so eager to help I thought I was at a car lot! I seen Alex, he had me set up and running in no time. Setup a joint account but my wife didn't have a second ID on her. They said it wouldn't be a problem and she could drop by anytime to just verify her ID. Well we have come by 3 times and everytime they want us to wait a minimum of one hour because "it's a 30 minute appointment." In what world does it take 30 minutes to look at an ID. So I came here to deposit some money into my dad's account but I was told I could not deposit cash. What do you mean I can't deposit cash? This is some new rule they came up with to prevent money laundering. When I asked the teller to give me a better explanation she gave me a crap story about out-of-state deposits. Not enough staff. Only two tellers when I walked in to make a simple deposit, it was one bill that the ATM outside wouldn't accept due to its worn quality. One was taken by a guy who lost his wallet trying to pull out some simple money for gas (trust me you couldn't ignore the story if you tried) and the other was some ghetto chick who was making a $50 deposit is change which was half rolled and the rest in an over sized bag. After about five minutes of listening to these two babble on about their lives I just said screw it and walked out. I have been in there a couple of times to deposit etc. and there have been at least 3 tellers working and I didn't have to wait.
