This review is for the NEW location in Lewisville on Main St. Spotted this yesterday morning and returned in the afternoon. Nice location and friendly staff. I had the rib plate and my wife had a chopped beef sandwich. Meats were cooked perfectly. The sides were very good and it didn't break the bank. Everyone needs to try this place out! The best thing I ate was the cabbage. It's called fried cabbage, at least the day I visited, but it's not fried. It was soooo tasty. The ribs were a bit dryer than I like but my friends that were locals here said they're normally fall off the bone. The brisket was very tasty and juicy. They had great service, friendly staff and they got our order right. And we called just minutes before we came to pick up. Kudos on that. I had shredded brisket and it was excellent. My husband had jalapeño sausage and chicken. Chicken was good but the sausage was blander than expected. For sides, I had fried okra and macaroni and cheese. They were good and fresh but not outstanding. When it comes down to it , you come here for the bbq meats. And they are much better than a certain bbq chain in the area. I think 4 1/2 stars would be our rating if we could do in 1/2 stars. It's good, it's filling and no stress so I'd say it's worth checking it out. read more

I was craving BBQ and wanted to try some where other than the basic BBQ in Denton. I ventured out and went here since it had very good reviews. I ordered a one meat plate, chopped brisket with bread, mac and cheese and fries. It came within a couple minutes of ordering and it was hot and fresh ! Spicy bbq sauce was as good as Rudy's and it was good portions for the price. Definitely recommend this place for the food and customer service. Their garlic cheddar potatoes are also really good! Picked up several pounds of brisket, pulled pork, turkey and sausage for a get together. Delicious! Everyone loved it.

We stopped by today and decided to try the pork ribs, brisket, jalapeño and regular sausage along with several sides. Yumers! The sauce is a bit sweet for my taste but I'm not gonna let that get between me and good Q when it doesn't really need any, and what I sampled today didn't. I didn't give 5 stars because, in my humble opinion (as a very good cook) potato salad shoukd have onions and egg in it and baked beans need a bit of bacon included. Otherwise everything was very good. I'm happy to have a nearby BBQ place again. I enjoy my smoker but it's nice when someone else does the work on occasion! We'll most certainly be back, and often. read more

Had lunch there today. Very friendly staff. There was so much meat on the ribs, my wife could only eat one. I had the sausage plate, it was great. We love this place and my kiddos ask for it weekly. Their brisket and ribs are outstanding. Also their is something fabulous about their green beans!? I know right...green beans, but everyone in our household including my 4 year old loves them. We tried this place out for the first time today. The service was great but the food was really bad. We had the all you can eat option so that we could try out all the different meats. Together, we tried the brisket, turkey, jalapeño sausage, and hot links. Everything was really dry. It tastes like it was reheated BBQ from the previous day. This place has great BBQ! My boyfriend and I each ordered the two meat plate. One with ribs and pulled pork and the other with brisket and sausage. All four meats were so delicious! As for the sides we both got fried okra and Mac & cheese! Freshly fried okra was hot and delicious! The Mac & cheese was to die for! It was more like a garlic Mac & cheese. I tried it once before they moved off I35 and didn't care for it. I tried it again today, and still do not like it. For one, they use margarine instead of real butter, which makes the taste of everything nasty (not to mention margarine is a chemically manufactured product that terrible for you). and there's some weird ingredient in their sauce (Dickies BBQ uses the same thing, and whatever it is, it's nasty). The one good thing is I asked for the brisket to be sliced lean, and they did do that. Otherwise, I will not be back. There are too many other great restaurants to choose from. read more

When I'm looking for a great establishment to enjoy a meal, there are a few things that I look for: Did I feel welcomed- No. Unfortunately I didn't not the young staff did not see me her to work or serve us. I went to order a beer and the young man at the register tried to talk me out of it, by saying that since I got it to go I probably would not have time to drink a beer. Which brings me to my next one. Do they serve alcohol- Yes. A few different kinds of beer and some wine. Was it clean- Yes. For a barbecue establishment it was clean and well kept. Location- location matters. With that said it is located in a very convenient area in the old downtown area of Lewisville TX. It also has in outdoor patio area to eat. Food- I tried the ribs ,chicken, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Ribs were okay I felt there was more fat and bones then meat, but the meat that was there was tasty and tender. Chicken was also tender and flavorful. The potatoes were dry but had a nice garlic flavor and the Mac and cheese was a bit runny and not cheesy at all. I hope that this was helpful. read more

Tonight was our 2nd time to eat at Chasin Tail. We ordered online both times. The 1st time, our order was ready within about 5 minutes of us arriving and the girls were very friendly. Tonight, we arrived at the exact time the confirmation said it would be ready, even tipped $25 because I ordered a lot of food for my family. Our order hadn't even been started yet and the gentleman back in the kitchen area gave us a dirty look. It took them nearly 15 minutes to put our order together. Once it was ready, they walked out and handed us 4 bags but said nothing. My daughter went back in to get our drink cups and was told they were in the paper bag. Now, the food is totally awesome, however, the service tonight may deter us from going back. read more

We frequent this BBQ joint at least once a week. We enjoy the food and the staff but one HUGE problem they always seem to have when I order is they run out of baked potatoes. Or I go to order two for me and my husband and they only have one. Baked potatoes are not that expensive to provide, if the demand is so high, and I know for a fact I'm not the only one with this issue, why can't they cook just a couple more potatoes for the day? We usually order during the week but I have called on a weekend and they are out by 3 pm... get some more potatoes please! read more

I had heard great reviews from friends and I had a coupon so I decided to try them out. I was not impressed at all. The ribs did not taste good at all and the chicken was so over cooked and dry. Thank goodness I got 2 meats, because the chopped barbecue was good. The mashed potatoes had so much garlic in them they were not even edible.
