I realize this is Asian Fusion, but the pork here reminds me more of the grilled pork you can find in Vietnamese restaurants. The veggies all looked fresh and it was great to be able to add corn and kale to it. We also added chasu sauce and sesame, cilantro, green onion and crushed peanut and an egg. Found this place on yelp after the first fast food hibachi I stopped at and got food was sooooo bad I couldn't even eat it!! First time to try this place was Thursday 3/30/2017 I got the chicken over brown rice with curry sauce absolutely loved it I loved it so much I found myself making the 80 mile round trip drive from Gunter Texas to have it again on Friday 3/31/2017 this time I got the shrimp with brown rice and curry as well as the chicken again I didn't care so much for the veggies other then the red peppers and green Beans so that's what I got as well today Enough for my diet planned for the weekend!! Cozy place that's convenient located in a Plaza off Dallas Parkway. They're an Asian Build-Your-Own-Bowl restaurant with many options to choose from. The first time I came, the cashier and service was great. They helped answer any questions I had and gave me recommendations on what to order. They offer a variety of protein and vegetables, and they also have additional add-ons. I had the chicken with an assortment of vegetables plus an egg. The taste was as expected, and it was at a reasonable price. Be mindful that the portion sizes are on the bigger side. I would be giving this restaurant 5-stars, but I had an uncomfortable stomach the last two times I ate at the restaurant. Woke up in the morning looking for a good Asian cuisine, looked good on google. Upon entering a cute little while in the wall with a very warm staff. Simple selections yet more than enough variety. Food time was more than reasonable and cost wonderfully fair especially for the serving sizes. The flavors are well composed and ingredients are obviously prepared fresh. I really liked Chasu, I've wanted to get the burrito style sushi thing for awhile and ordered that with a somewhat unorthodox assortment of toppings. It was very slow when we went in, about 4pm on a saturday, and we got our food quite quickly. The flavors are super good, the proteins are really well done, and the owner hustled up to us on our way out to give us some coupons in celebration of Chinese New Year. One thing I appreciate about Chasu is that they cook their meat to order, so none if it is just sitting around all day like other build-it-yourself places. They also have a good variety of toppings and bowl/wrap options so you can have some creativity with your meal which is fun. The food itself is okay, but they drench the bowls with sauce which is extremely thin, to the point where everything becomes soggy. I have come here multiple times and each time I left feeling a little stomach ache. I would have asked for less sauce had I known it was standard for them to add so much. The Chasu pork is good, so I recommend that one for the meat. The vegetables are fresh and they have good selection. Overall pretty average. I come here when I'm really hungry because it's the closest Asian spot to me. But I don't really ever go out of my way to come here. read more
