This has been one of our worst eating experiences in a while. It was a remainder of why we have not been at this restaurant for over 2 years. Suffice it to say that the quality of the beef was terrible. It was full of gristle which made parts of the steak inedible. The service was lacking. We felt like we were an imposition on the server and did not ask for anything. When I requested to have 1/2 the sandwich I had on the plate packed, and she was annoyed. I had to get the check from another server because ours was busy doing nothing. The place is a hole in the wall and there were 4 tables occupied and 8 people who has just been seated. I enjoy this restaurant and their food. However I had read another post last week that stated that they had added a tip to his bill under the heading Serv. We had dinner here Saturday night and sure enough they tacked on an 18% gratuity. Now I have to wonder how many times we may have paid a tip on top of the tip. Being honest this server saw me examining the bill And walked up and said the tip is included. That is the first time anyone has ever told me that concerning that add on. This place never dissapoints. Feels so good when you ask for steak medium rare and you can trust it will be so every time. I've been coming to this place for years, since it was first located on sunset dr. Best things to try here is the entraña (skirt) steak and also the milanesa (beef) covered in cheese and onions. Next time I'll problably try a pasta, but I'll probably end up ordering steak lol. Fries were good as well as the ensalada rusa (potato salad). To this day, when I go there I'm reminded of my Mom as it was one of her favorite places to go. Che Tito's is literally a little hole in the wall serving really quality food. Their churrasco IS top of the line and their Fettuccine Alfredo is as creamy and cheesy as it can get. Parking is not a problem as it's hidden in a large strip mall. However, seating can be a little tricky. They've tried to resolve this problem by putting outdoor furniture in the walkway. It was okay; I think I am used to Cuban/Miami style churrasco, so I was expecting that and not plain steak that came with chimichurri sauce. Their maduros get my seal of approval, though. I have a booked trip to Argentina and did not want to miss out on their main dishes over there so I figured I would start incorporating meat slowly but surely back into my diet before hand. I am so glad I took this first step at Che Tito's. Taking that first bite into the medium-rare entraña (skirt steak) made me weak in the knees. I'd forgotten how good it tasted. The meat was cooked beautifully and perfectly. Seasoned on point. It was so tender and juicy you could have cut it with a spoon. The 16 oz was huge. I probably ate 6 oz before I started feeling overwhelmingly full. My husband ordered the short ribs (tira de asado) and they were also spectacular. They also bring you a complimentary order of hot fresh baguette or garlic rolls which were to die for.
