I like the concept of this place! Your quesadilla comes with chips, a side and a drink. I got the steak quesadilla without the Doritos that come in it. I added elote instead. The quesadilla was okay. I think the steak lacked seasoning and char. But the sauces used were great. I dipped mine in chipotle sauce and queso and it helped with the flavor. The churros were great as well! Though we asked for no chocolate on them, we still had chocolate on ours. However we ate around the chocolate and enjoyed the pieces that weren't covered! We'd be back to try something else. Curious if they'd ever offer a larger variety of quesadillas like shrimp or bringing back the BBQ quesadilla. I'd bee interested in trying!

Great late night spot. amazing quesadillas. Loaded with flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bonus is they are open late. They have margaritas so that's awesome. Definitely be back soon.

I heard about Plomo on lnstagram and couldn't help trying it. Went on a weekday around 2. There is a side parking lot so parking was easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once inside it's not very big but it's clean with a large menu on the wall in order to see everything they have to offer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have lots of different quesadilla to choose from they also have margaritas. Ordering was easy and we were given a number to take to the table. I ordered my quesadillas as a combo. Me and my husband both agree that they have some of the best quesadillas from a restaurant. We also like the fact that they are open late so on the weekend if we want a late night snack we can come there.

I kept hearing how I needed to come here. So I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very crowded with an interesting decor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], so I got a few things to try and bring them home. Customer service was not a strong point and it seemed assistance from them was too much effort. I grabbed a steak, and elotes for me. Excellent flavor for both!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here before the crowd and was not disappointed. Chill vibe, and loved the ambiance and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Rick Ross 7.5/10: the quesadilla itself was ok. I liked the flavors together but would have liked the meat to have some flavor - it was a little bland to me. My sides were the chorizo Mac and Mexican corn. I didn't have any noodles in what should've been my Mac - think they just gave me queso. But it worked out because those chips were delicious. The f*&king margarita was pretty good too. Overall though I'd definitely come back and try something else.

After our shift ended, my new coworkers wanted to grab food and suggested this place. I was hesitant about it at first because I'm not really into Tex Mex. I ordered the Black Magic which was really good! I enjoyed it as well as the elote and chips. I got to try my coworker's foods too, the El Padrino and Jesse James, which was both good too! Overall, I was surprised and fulfilled. Very solid and good food especially for a late night bite.

Look, if your name's rocking Quesadillas, you better bring the cheesy thunder. Sadly... it was more of a light drizzle. We even got it "dirty" and still--meh. Guac tasted like it moonlights in a lunchable. Freshness? Missing, presumed dip-sappeared. BUT hold onto your forks, because the Chorizo Mac & Cheese? Mic drop. Rich, spicy, cheesy perfection that stole the show like it was auditioning for its own Netflix special. Sure, it wasn't piping hot--but those flavors still came in loud and proud. Moral of the story: skip the quesadilla, marry the mac.

The best quesadilla I've ever had!!! So delicious and great portion size for the price. For how busy it was, we got served fairly quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is minimal seating inside/ outside but otherwise this place is amazing, definitely recommend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good food but the cashier was had a super lame attitude. Usually I try and focus on food but this girl clearly hates her job. I get it was late but she also forgot all the sauces for 3 different quesadillas! Lameeee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She through the ambiance way off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got 3 quesadillas. The only one that really missed was La Mardrina. It was too much carb between rice, tamale, tortilla, and Doritos. No balance. The Escobar and chips were great. The chocolate covered churros were incredible!!

My FAVORITE late night bite in Dallas currently. Always a line and after your first bite you get why! Only downside is that it takes a while to get your order but you know it's being made fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small pop in bar with indoor and outdoor seating and just an overall vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I always get the El Marro with Chipotle Crema and it's the perfect amount to feed your hunger but not make you stuffed. A great stop for a quick bite in between bar hopping!

Stopped by while in the area for a quick dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute place and great concept for quesadillas![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did try the veggie/black bean option which was good, wish i could've tried a different sauce with it. Overall food was great, quantity was nice and service was very quick!

We really wanted to like this place and the hopes were extremely high. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone was nice! The place was nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We always get several menu items to try out. We started with the dip trio which was a flop. The guacamole was the best by the way, the salsa was just bad! It was like ground up tomatoes from a can topped with cilantro. The queso was just as bad. It tasted like heavy whipping cream with cumin. That's not queso. We were so disappointed! The chips were good though, nice and warm. For sides we got the chorizo Mac and Cheese and an elote. The mac and cheese was ok but lacked flavor, I was excited about the concept but it was a miss. That elote was not the type of elote I was hoping for. I guess I was thinking is was elote en vaso like from the carts in front of your local supermarket. I don't know what I was expecting. It's just mayo with cheese. I should've known better when it said it had cayenne pepper. Why would it have that? I don't know. It was so bland. Now for the quesadillas. We got the Rick Ross and brisket quesadilla with some add ons. The cheese was nice and melted which was a positive. Everything was a miss. The brisket was dry but had potential. Again. High hopes. Overall the chips and guac were tasty. I was thinking this was going to be a Mexican food joint. It's not. It's almost like Tex Mex. On to the next one.

    LaNitria T.

Good food, but the place is small and abnormally crowded for as late as it was. They are efficient though all things considered we got everything we ordered without issue in a timely manner.

No…read morereservation...just a walk party of 6 and they had a table for us...as long as we could be out by a certain time...about an hour and a half after we walked in. We were there to eat so if they were going to wine and dine us in that amount of time, we were there for it!! Everything was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks and we are so glad we found this location and made it happen! I was looking forward to dinner here the entire day and it was worth it!! We had the queso blanco...it's got a kick...worth it! My wagyu fajitas were perfectly cooked medium rare and soooo flavorful!! I was my dessert in my pjs back at the hotel...the sopapilla cheesecake and ice cream held up perfectly and was everything I wanted it to be!! It's a dark atmosphere in the bar area, but the vibes were so cool. It wasn't too loud to where people were having to scream to converse...but it was not intimate where you could talk across the table softly with the other person hearing. We are still talking about Las Palmas days later and can't wait until we are back in Dallas to bring more of our group here to enjoy delicious food and great service!!

A few important notes though: this place is SUPER loud, especially upstairs, so if you are trying to take your older parents somewhere for a nice dinner where you can actually catch up and have a conversation, this might not be the spot. Also, avoid the upstairs dining room if anyone has mobility issues. The stairs are a little sketchy in that dark space because you basically have to TRUST there is another stair step in front of you even though you can't see it. And a heads up, do not wander into the wrong bathroom upstairs like my husband did because the "men's" and "ladies" signs upstairs are also nearly impossible to read in the dark! But honestly, those are really my only complaints... The service and food were both very good. We had a couple of ordering fumbles. We got the regular queso, and then immediately watched another table get the tableside flaming queso and we were seriously bummed. Like, really bummed. That is definitely what I will be ordering next time. The chips and smoky salsa were excellent!! - and I always appreciate when everyone gets their own little portion of salsa so everyone can double dip without feeling like a heathen. I ordered the wagyu fajitas (the half portion), and it was still easily enough food for two people. I will say the meat was more like a filet mignon texture and less like the flavorful fajita meat I was expecting. My friend's pork fajitas were actually much better and had more flavor. When the manager stopped by to check on us, I had to announce my own birthday because apparently my friends were not going to help me out with that (some friends, huh?). They brought out a complimentary sopapilla cheesecake with a candle, which was a very nice touch. All in all, I loved the place and totally understand the hype. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. There is valet parking, but we found easy parking across the street. I cannot wait to come back and try that flaming queso!

My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. It was glorious and bountiful--there was ample dressing, cheese, and other ingredients I'm forgetting that made it unique. Unfortunately, during our second visit, the Caesar salad was significantly different. I think they used the same dressing, but there was very little of it. There was nearly no cheese and the other ingredients were similarly sparse. It was still good, but it in no way was the greatest I'd ever tried. I hope that this was a 1-off experience, as it truly was the best. I will report back next time. Service was great both times- they were very careful about my Cilantro request (none) and even though they gladly prepared dishes without it, they also made a list of things that already had none by default. Salmon ceviche, Pork al pastor, Carne asada, and the machete were also very good. The machete is a specialty- it had the house made masa and fillings can vary.
