Umm yumm. The toasted subs here are uh mazing! I stopped by around 10pm on a Thursday night and people were still coming in. The cashier was very friendly and we had more then enough time to look over the pretty big menu. We ended up going for the white widow with all the toppings and we definitely had to make it a blunt size. (12in) We had already set our minds on sharing this gigantic sub so we opted for the 12inch. I also got a bag of chips and a small drink and my total was close to $14. We sat down and waited a little more then 5 minutes. The same guy who rang us up brought over our sub to where we were seated. They were kind enough to cut our sub in two and put it in two different trays. The white widow sub is so GOOD!! It had warm chicken, mushrooms, bacon, and it was covered in their ranch sauce. The bread was toasted and warm so it made it that much better! There is plenty of seating and they also have an outside area. They have a bar area, and they also have different flavored look aids! Give this place a try! I love the food but the wait is always too long. But the last time I went was the last straw. We ordered ahead and was told it would be ready in 15 so since I live 5 minutes down the street I left 5 minutes before it would be ready. I got there and paid and told they were running behind and it would be out in a minute, totally fine by me. But after waiting 30 minutes I had to ask where my food was. Turns out it was sitting up front the whole time and no one ever called it out. So all in all it was an 1 round trip to get a sandwich I live 5 minutes from. I've been coming to this location since the 90's & love the food. The experience I had today will have me never returning. After attempting to use their website and having it crash - twice- we decided to go down to the store to place our to go order. Upon arrival, we were told that we had to either call in or place the order online. As their online system was not functioning properly, we opted to call in. The first two times I called, I got voicemail. The third time I called, the same guy who refused to take our order at the door walked over, answered the phone and put me on hold. He then walked back to the door. I was left on hold. People who walked up after us were able to call in and place their orders without issue. When my significant other pointed out that I've been on hold waiting, the guy at the door (same guy who refused to take our order in person, answered my call & put me on perma hold) walked over and disconnected my call. WTF?!? It's a stressful time for everyone... treating loyal customers like trash doesn't help anyone. Amazing tasting subs! Service has always been efficient. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance with plenty of things to look at. There's even a small bar that you can hang out at. If I lived closer I'd eat here much more frequently. Please establish another restaurant in the North East Mesa area. I'll reiterate, the food is amazing. Cheba Hut is almost always good however the last experience will forever make me second guess this location specifically. They completely messed up one of our subs by basically only putting some sliced meat and lettuce on some bread and that's it. We ended up just sharing mine and threw the other one out and when I tried contacting the business through the phone they never answered and trying multiple times and I left them a message and they never responded. They do not skimp on toppings and got the order to perfection. Thick cuts of meat in our sandwich , fluffy fresh bread and crisp vegetables. It really was delicious. I ordered a 12" Power Plant. Took it back to work with me. Looked forward to sinking my teeth into the hummus and guacamole. First bite...no hummus. Second bite...still no hummus, but an unfamiliar taste. Why is there feta cheese? As I am writing this a tomato slides off, a tomato with it's backside lightly coated with...hummus. This sandwich has so little hummus that if it was a Class 1 Substance, the court would dismiss the charges. Get it Bud? Not enough to get a fly high. I come here for lunch with con workers all the time, and they never disappoint me. Great customer service, food is delicious, food is made to order, fresh ingredients... The list goes on! Today was a unique day I went in and ordered 11 different orders the cashier Josephine was awesome and very patient. The sandwich creators were very fast at getting the orders out especially because they had the lunch hour rush. Anyhow some how my sandwich was not in any of the bags. So I called to ask if it was still there. They apologized and made me a new one to go pick up. I got there they had my sandwich ready and they gave me 2 cards for free munchies. My boyfriend placed an order through grubhub last night. Let me just say never agen. I believe my boyfriend and got the Jamaican red and i ordered the the chicken bacon salad. The GrubHub driver was absolutely terrible it took forever to get our food somehow he couldn't find my house which I'm not sure how because my boyfriend ordered through grubhub earlier and there was no issues. But I also know that's out of Cheba Hut control. What I am upset about is there was absolutely no salad dressing for the salad that I ordered. Really upsetting to eat a dry saled. The sandwiches are really tasty. I wish I could give this place more stars. However, I've waited 30 minutes on average each time I've been here. I've waited over an hour for one sandwich, which seems ridiculous. I keep coming back because the food is so great, but the workers have been getting a little less friendly each time. Maybe they need more staffing so they're not as stressed. Also, there's not a lot of space to wait for your food, so the lobby gets pretty crowded and uncomfortable - especially with people waiting for so long. This is one of my favorite sandwich franchises to visit every time I'm in Arizona. My go to sandwich when I'm here is the white widow with all the toppings including bacon and mushroom. My sandwich is always freshly made and toasted to perfection. The house made sauce just adds to the deliciousness and the pickle spear gives it the right amount of crunch. I love that they have an 8" sub, always ends up being just the right amount. Bread options come in: white, wheat, or garlic. Furthermore, if you're in the mood for something sweet post meal, there is delicious brownies and crunchy treats right by the cashier. Staff at this particular location were friendly and patient when ordering. Food was promptly made and brought out to the table quickly. You can't go wrong with their beers (especially for $3 every Friday) and the delicious sandwiches. Then finds my ticket under something else , tells me it's going to be just about a 5 min wait. That's fine. The girls in line in front me had gotten and ate their food before I received my order. Then I was missing the gooballs. I went back to the counter and asked for them and they said uhm let me go wrap up some more ! 5 min later.. she hands me something that is NOT a gooball.. I used to love this location but I feel like this one, along with the other CHeBA Huts across the valley have just taken a nosedive in quality. Every single time I order from this place without fail my order is made wrong, I'm missing items, it's delayed, or all of the above.
