I was actually on my way to eat at one of my favorite spots when I saw Lenny's along the way. Because I've never been there before, I decided to turn around and give them a try. Sadly, I regretted the decision as I found Lenny's to be mediocre at best. The place has a retro diner vibe, which is cool. I took a quick look at the menu board above the grill. The young gentleman behind the counter was friendly and took my order. It was difficult to hear him because he spoke slightly louder than a whisper when asking me questions about my order. He handed me my receipt and my cup for my drink. I went to the soft drink dispenser and as I was filling my cup, I heard a slight whisper behind me. It was him. I had to ask him to repeat himself because I didn't catch it the first time. He asked me if my order was a to-go order. No. I had planned on dining there. I seated myself on a stool at a nearby countertop. My food arrived quickly. The fries looked good and they were piping hot. I unwrapped the burger and, at first sight, looked quite delicious. I ordered the #2 Double Burger Combo. The burger was... meh. The patties were thinner than expected and lacked juiciness. They didn't seem seasoned as there was a slight funky flavor that wasn't very appealing. I couldn't help but think they were old frozen burger patties that have seen better days. That being said, I can't say that the burger was awful, but I can't say that it was really good either. For a $10.59 burger, I have had better elsewhere. Would I go back? Probably not. During covid craziness this location charged for using my debit card. So they lost my business for 5 years. Decided to give them another chance. No fee for a debit card this time. Ordered window ads. $1.49 Root Beer Float. And $7.99 (24) Chicken Nuggets. Counter help/cook seemed dismayed I didn't order higher profit food. After failing to understand the first time I answered him the order was for eating in the restaurant. Had to ask for the 4 sauces advertised. He put zero on the receipt. I normally go to the Lenny's in Mesa. (Always good) but tonight I tried the chandler location and was extremely disappointed... I waited over 20 minutes in the drive thru line for soggy cold fries, my Pepsi was out of syrup so I had to throw it away when I got home, I ordered sides of ranch that were 1/4 filled, I added jalapeños to my burger (which I paid for) and there were none on the burger and they got my shake order incorrect. Hello all, well my called and asked to meet for dinner as it was the start of her 3-day weekend, we had going to one of our favorite places Saigon Pho but it was closed so saw this place on our way so back tracked to give it a shot, the appearance of the diner was nice and the inside was very casual and had that 50's vibe look, plenty of seating for the family & friends, I've been craving a chili dog for some time now and decided to try one, I think next time I'll have something different as it just wasn't great a bit salty and the chili seemed to be out of a can but could be wrong, Jen had the Mexican Burger with fries and drink and that was a good choice as she shared half with me, all there burger looked good so would stick with a burger combo if ordering, the staff was nice and helpful in answering a few questions we had, oh and the ice cream cones are pretty good and a good size for what you payed for them $1.25 not sure if I'll be a returning customer but you be the judge and give them a try if in the area. read more

I wish I would have gotten to try the food! The outside looked fun so I decided to stop in for lunch. It was completely dead inside, I was the only one there which wasn't a great sign. There was one guy on the grill directly behind the counter where I was standing, he looked me in the eyes without greeting me lol and then there was another guy on his phone wearing a blue shirt in that appeared from nowhere and stood in front of the register without saying a word. For some reason today I ordered the Fried Shrimp basket although I was going for my usual burger. Drive through kids at the window are always smiling and ask me about additional condiments. The fried Shrimp were great and just the right size. Sometimes I get shrimp that is too big for the breading and sometimes too much breading on small shrimp. For me these were just right ratio of breading and shrimp. Nice amount of fries in the basket as well. We sat outside as it was a nice day. We decided to try something different as we usually get the burger. The burgers are ok in my opinion. They are hardy I just feel like it's missing something. We ended up having the chili cheese dog combo. The fries were perfectly salted, hot, and crispy. I love everything mango and got the mango drink. I DO NOT recommend it if you are a mango lover. After three sips I ended up saving it for my hubby to have for later. He liked it but he's not a mango-tasting expert. I guess they are either unaware of the promotional or they don't do it here. We showed them the online coupon from their website that says it's valid this week. Even the red burrito out of the value menu isn't terrible, and their price for what you get in this day and age isn't terrible compare to fast food, their single patty burger is large! I'm so happy Lenny's has stayed around! It's truly a gem. A 50's diner and a drive thru, made to order hot off the grill burgers and fries. My favorite is the Garlic Mushroom Burger with American cheese and grilled onions. It's been delicious and fresh every single time! Also one of the only places open later in the night. Tonight I tried a Cinnamon shake for the first time, and it's perfect. They've got the good soda and the good ranch too, if you know what I mean! My first time to Lennys burgers was over ten years ago and at their Central Ave location in downtown Phoenix. I didn't realize there were multiple locations until I drove by this past year. We've already been a few times and have enjoyed each visit. For a local establishment for a quick burger and fries it's pretty good. My burger was well seasoned and they have a few kid menu items such as a burger, hot dog, corn dog, grilled cheese. For two adults and one kid, we spent a little over $30. My husband and I order the #2 combo (fries and drink), with some customization. They haven't messed up and I'm glad because I'm not a pickle eater and they really slap them on! Which my husband likes! They carry Pepsi products for soda and you can get a soft serve cone for $0.99 + tax. The only reason I have yet to give them 5 stars is because at one visit my burger buns are a bit over toasted. The overall restaurant ambiance is fun and vibrant with a retro diner feel. A large guitar hangs above the ceiling as you enter, there is a variety of seating throughout, and a drive thru as well. They even have this cute car mural to the left of the register. read more

Greasy burger joint with the best, messy, drip down your arm burgers! We first experienced Lenny's years ago at their Glendale/Phoenix place. The Ranch Burger is your basic with their "Lenny Sauce"; I skip onion and ask for a ton of pickles! We also had the garlic mushroom burger (my favorite!) and the Hatch chili burger. The burgers are all so good and juicy and hot because they make 'em when you order! So it takes a few minutes but patience pays off! We also loved the crispy onion rings (a perfect ring is when you take a bite, get that thick sweet onion and crust and the whole onion doesn't come out in that one bite...love their rings! And the chili cheese fries! What a combo and we actually like their chili better than the diner next door! It's meaty and flavorful! Topped with cheese and you have pig heaven! When we do Lenny's we make it a true pig out meal so of course we shared a large chocolate malt to top off the meal. Nothing healthy about this splurge but you gotta live once in a while! Tried out Lenny's for lunch. I had the Mexican burger and shared some pastrami jalapeno chili cheese fries. Both were quite good! The burger had a nice char flavor and was filled with some lovely caramelized onions, green chile, mayo, cheese, tomato and lettuce on a soft sesame seed bun. The flavor and textures were spot on, however I couldn't really taste the green chile in it even though I could see it was there. The pastrami jalapeno chili cheese fries were filled with a lot of pastrami and jalapenos. All the ingredients worked really well with each other and we gobbled that up in no time. Service is slow. It took 20 minutes for our to-go order to be ready even though there weren't too many customers here so don't come here if you want food ASAP. read more

This was my 2nd time at a Lennys after having a great time at the one in Mesa; I tried this one out in Chandler. The premises is very clean and all the 50s diner furniture and decor looks great; I really liked the neon 50s sci-fi rocket. This is a great place for kids/families. I had their signature cheese burger(a lot of delicious meat),fries, tator tots(perfectly cooked and crispy)and large, white meat chicken tenders. I have lived in Chandler Arizona now for a few years, moved here in 2020 for family from the Sedona area. I was told by a friend to try Lenny's burgers that they were fantastic! Well I love a good Reuben sandwich so tried one it was delicious!!! I've been back 3 times now for the Reuben spot on Everytime!! Update: Food still good but price and quantity is lacking. I usually get single Ranch Burger with a small fry. Normally this would be less than $6. Today ordered Ranch Burger and denied a small fry or kid fry. Even though they still have kids meals. Cost came up to almost $10. This seems pricey. Also for $3.49 for a regular fry seems like the same amount of fries I used to get with the small fry. For the extra cost associated with these fries, should of filled the container. Disappointed with this Lenny's. Not sure if I will return. For the Price, I could of grabbed In-Out for less than $6 for a doubledouble or even Red Robin Gourmet Burger for $10.
