Drove by Capriotti's Sandwich Shop and decided to give them a try with a take out order for dinner. Upon entering the shop, my husband and I were warmly greeted and helped. The staff member helping us was patient with our questions, especially as we took our time to decide what we wanted as first time customers. Upon first glance, the prices seemed a little steep for sandwiches, but once they started getting in motion of being crafted, it all made sense as each sandwich was packed with all of their listed ingredients. Our order consisted of three medium sandwiches: - Capastrami - The Classic Meatball - The Hot Bobbie Since we ordered our sandwiches to go, we waited to eat them until we got to our destination. All of the sandwiches held up well and tasted good. The turkey on The Hot Bobbie was dry, but still edible. It was our least favorite of the three because of it. We're hoping we just had an off-batch since it seems to be a popular sandwich for them. My husband loved the Capastrami sandwich. I ordered the mini Homemade Turkey and a regular order of French fries, delicious! The sandwich had more turkey than I expected and the bread was so soft. When I arrived, I had asked the cashier to give me a minute to look over the menu since it was my first time at Capriotti's. He said since it was my first time there, I got to pick a free cookie. I picked a peanut butter one and it also was really tasty. I also really like the fact that they offer french fries and chips; they also offer kid's meals and salads. The staff were polite, patient and informative. The restaurant is spacious, modern and clean; they also played really good music. They take orders online at order.Capriotti.com, delivery is available, catering is available and they have a rewards program. Capriotti's is one of my favorite sandwich shops. I was sad when so many locations were closed down. Found this one out on Haven Avenue drove out to try their famous Bobbie sandwich. For those that crave a little Thanksgiving food when it's not Thanksgiving, it's the perfect sandwich. Here's where the review gets even better. I was dining in so when my sandwich was brought to my table, it was a meatball sandwich instead of the Bobbie. Immediately, I informed the lady that brought me the sandwich. To my surprise and delight, she said keep this one and I'll go make you the correct one. What really? This proves to me that Capriotti's has great service and does not waste food. One could say that they should've got it right in the first place, but it was packed and busy and I appreciated the quick fix. The storefront and ambience here is clean and well maintain. YUMMERS! It's a small, quiet sandwich shop, pretty comfortable. I ordered the Bobbi and the Wagyu Club. Both are DELISH! Pretty creative sandwich combos and great quality meats. Be prepared to spend considerably more than average competitors (subway/jersey mikes/Jimmy John's) but if you're looking for quality, this is it. I also ordered a cup of fries, those were tasty! I will say $4.99 for a drink and a small bag of chips is quite high. I'd understand if it was a bigger bag of chips or a specialty drink but it's not. Addicted to this place right now!! I came in last week to pick up some dinner for some friends and I. My friend and her son who can be a bit particular loved the BLT I got them. I got the chicken cheesesteak with crispy cheddar onions and then a salad for my other friend and I to share. Then today I came back in for another chicken cheesesteak the Chipotle BBQ one which was amazing. First time hearing about this place and trying it. I ordered the Italian Sausage which is basically sausage, onions and peppers on a roll with mozzarella and marinara sauce. It was fine. The bread is like hot-dog bun texture but not taste, so if you have someone or are someone with sensitive teeth, the bread is not going to be a challenge. The real reason I'd come back is because of the fries. They're steak fry shaped but thinner and addicting. The fries come in a beverage cup and they're like almost a chip but definitely a fry. They're so delicious and if you need a snack for the road, this is a must buy. Staff were all very friendly and fast and the dining area was super clean. The 30 minute drive from home for The Bobbie was worth it! I don't have the best pictures attached but this thing was delicious! I ordered a medium sub which lasted for 2 meals because they really pack it in here. No ingredient was skimped on, and everything was fresh; a I really appreciate that. You can tell that this may be a new shop, the whole plaza looks new. The inside is very clean, and the service was fine for the setting. I foresee more 30 minute drives in the near future! I appreciated the fact that I didn't need to add any extra condiments to give it flavor, which is quite rare for ME. I enjoyed it, and would eat there again. It was good but not as good as I remember This place is no Ike's, on the same level as Jersey Mikes and blows away Subway. The bread is probably the best part but the meat is fine.
