During the install day, the team showed a bit late but still made it. They got to work and did a very clean job. No mess and everything is neatly installed. All piping works for my space and doesn't require me to sacrifice my garage. The crew was professional and even made a wiring change when I requested. I couldn't believe they managed to get the equipment in the small space beside my existing shelves. I previously had an under the skin RO but decided to upgrade since mine was 10 years old. The new filtered water is great, not much better than the previous RO though. It does take significantly less space under the sink. The softened water is great too. I wouldn't drink it, it has a briny taste, but I've noticed significant improvements to my fixtures I'm trying to protect plus my hair feels so much nicer. He mentioned that chloramine is the corrosive chemical in municipal water that eats through thin copper pipes (type-M) & that a catalytic carbon filter system would remove all chloramines. I also called a number of other companies & it was clear they weren't interested in spending the time texting & on the phone with me that Mike did. He set me up with a great dual catalytic carbon filter (to completely remove chloramines) & a soft water filter ( to treat hard water & remove calcium & magnesium). We invested in a LifeSource water system expecting cleaner, softer water -- and honestly, it's been a total disappointment. On Sunday, October 26, we noticed thick white calcification building up on our glass vases and fixtures. It looked like we never had a filtration system at all. So we ran a water test comparing regular tap water with the LifeSource "filtered" water... and guess what? No difference whatsoever. Both samples showed the same level of contamination. It's like the system does absolutely nothing. We called customer service right away, stressing that this was urgent. They promised a call back Monday -- no one called. We followed up Tuesday, got the same promise -- again, nothing. Later that day, they finally told us that no technician could come out until November 5. Over a week later! For something that could impact our health, that's just unacceptable. Between the useless filtration and the nonexistent customer service, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. For the price they charge, you'd expect quality and accountability -- but instead, we're stuck with hard, unfiltered water and zero support.
