Been waiting to make this post after having the suspension for a few months. I originally had a lift done by ORW. No issues with there work but the Fox 2.5 race series left a lot to be desired. Checkered automotive works hand and hand with Accutune off-road and got my suspension dialed in. Having the shocks retuned has dramatically improved my ride. Checkered automotive worked with my schedule and their pricing is more than fair. Cannot recommend them enough. Get it done right the first time!

I wanted to lift my 2017 tacoma but I brought my own parts for install (eibach pro lift kit and icon leaf spring). I needed alignment also. Jahaziel the owner ordered upper control arms for me and he made sure he will have it on install day. Day of install, drop off your vehicle at 8:30am it will be ready around 3-4pm. Overall, the whole ordering and install went smooth hassle free. They told me also to come back to the shop after driving 150 miles to re-torque the vehicle. The labor cost is the same around other shops I got a quote from but you will get quality/clean work here. Highly recommended and I will be definitely going back here.

So this place was recommended by a few folks in Toyota and Lexus groups online for lifts, bumper installs and even minor maintenance. All of which I will be coming back here to get done. I just had a Dobinsons MRR set of 4 reservoir shocks springs and upper control arms installed on my new 2022 Lexus GX 460. Without any hesitation I'd recommend this shop. If you have any need for lifts, bumper installs,suspension mods involving KDSS here is the place to take your vehicle. I needed my rusty shocks, springs, and rear lift block replaced on my '13 Toyota Tacoma and came upon this place. I also wanted to replace my 265 tires with 285s without it rubbing. Checkered Automotive conducted the CMC, installed Bilstein 5100 shocks, OME springs, Icon AAL and UCAs and replaced my lower control arms. They were honest and up front and made professional recommendations. Kept me looped in the whole time. This is the shop I'll be going to for anything my Tacoma needs. read more

"You said 'in & out'". He calmly said he did not talk to me, but will take good care of me. I calmed myself. I was so angry. He said he would NEVER make a 4 pm appt for someone who needed brakes, 4 tires, and an oil change, when they close at 5 pm. It all made perfect sense. Simón offered to get my tires and oil change started, but offered to inspect my car to see if I even needed brakes. I agreed. It turned out my back brakes were at 6 mm and my fronts were 4 mm, so I still had time to change them. They squeezed me in even though they had cars they were trying to get out of the shop. EXCELLENT management by these guys to fix the predicament their "Call Center" had suckered me into. Evan's Tire & Service in Lemon Grove is a super place with super employees! They gave me a great price, and I was out of there at 5 pm. You need to fix your Call Center though- these stores are welcoming angry customers like me, because they are being lied to. This location was the only one patient enough to hear out what service I needed instead of just telling me to come in for an expensive diagnostic. Andre was the one who picked up call and answered my question and he is the guy that I've had service my car every time I visit. When I initially came in for a diagnostic of my car's fan knob, Andre went above and beyond to look at it and temporarily set it to my preferred fan setting so I could use my AC until I came back to get the full repair done. He was honest and explained all the different options for repair which included some very expensive ones along with very cheap repairs. He said he wanted to try the cheapest fix first to see if everything would work out and fortunately it did and I was able to avoid a big car maintenance bill. He was flexible with scheduling and was able to get my car back to me within 6 hours which I appreciated since I had a tight schedule at that time. Since then, I've had my oil changed here, breaks checked and cleaned up, and water pump replaced on top of the aforementioned air condoning knob all done at this location.

Chris greeted me, took the V for an initial test drive and went to work. I enjoy working on cars and Chris brought me along every step of the way. He's super knowledgeable. He broke down the issues with the V and how he was going to fix them. He adjusted the alignment on the ol' AWD and suggested some of the other suspension parts I should think about replacing, which I appreciated. Now the V is driving as straight as an arrow. Ledezma's will be my go to spot for all alignment and suspension needs.

To make matters worse, I'm currently dealing with a custody battle after catching my girlfriend cheating with my cousin, so my stress level was already at about a 12 out of 10. Finally got my car back and started driving home. The car started shaking. At first, I figured it was just my stomach because I'd been battling diarrhea all day. A few minutes later I realized it wasn't my stomach--my car was dripping fluids everywhere like it had just signed a sponsorship deal with Tuli Drip. Then the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Every warning light imaginable was on. At that point, I was convinced my Envista was preparing for liftoff. I couldn't drive it, so I called a tow truck and got hauled back to the dealership. Of course, by the time I got there, the shop was closed. The next morning they inspected it and delivered the shocking diagnosis: "It was just your gas cap." Apparently, I didn't have it on properly when I started driving. So after 5 hours at the shop, a panic attack, a tow truck ride, an overnight stay, and enough dashboard lights to decorate a neighborhood, the culprit was... a gas cap.

After discussing it with Jr, he advised that most of these exhausts don't need a resonator because of its cross design. After all was said and done, Jr was right and the exhaust has no drone whatsoever. Also to add, the mid pipe was slightly rubbing against the body but Jr was able to correct that. This place has the knowledge and experience.
