This place is okay. Orders the monte cristo and came out very greasy and was 90% batter, and my side of broccoli casserole was nasty. My boyfriend got the chicken pot pie which was flavorless. Had to ask for silverware and remind them to bring my salad. Won't be coming back again. read more

Management: This had been one of my uncle's favorites for the past few years, but has just fallen off - he tells me 3 of his group's 5(?) dishes had to be sent back this last Sunday, and even then what they had wasn't great. I didn't want to dig further, but know in the past we've all loved your Asian salad, your ribs, your 3 items lunch... Everything we tried in the past was so great and the servers were fantastic at a great price. Bring that back! I am always looking for a good burger and onion rings. This place did a great job with both. We had fast good service and good food. We will definitely be back here. We went after lunch time around 3:30 or so and it was pretty empty. I do not know how things may change for dinner. But all in all I would reccomend this place to family and friends. read more

Had I read these reviews prior to visiting Cheddars, I may not have done so. We chose to eat here after a very long day of moving on May 24th, 2014. It was late in the evening and we were all very tired. The hostess seated us promptly, was friendly, however when our menus were brought to us along with the silverware they were plopped in the middle of the table. Our orders were taken promptly and our food arrived in excellent time. Our drinks were never empty. The food was excellent. The chicken tenders were split between two people and there was still some to take home. The Texas Cheese Fries are an amazing appetizer and enjoyed by all 5 of us. I would highly recommend the Monte Cristo. Probably the best I have ever had. The cost for 5 of us was around $60. Good meal for the price. I'll go again and I'm sure my kids who live in the area will go again as well. read more

Cheddars has consistently good food, and at a good price as well. But the service (or lack thereof) ruins the experience. The last three or four times I have gone to Cheddars, we waited 40-60 minutes for our food, and very rarely saw our waiter. This has happened even when it's not a busy time. Bar quality food and the kitchen often messes up if you make any changes to your order. Staff need to be reminded to refill drinks. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean, the average wait time is 15-30 minutes. Bar services decent. Lots of young kids they're still working to get it right. Even the older people who you would think would be more experienced screw things up. But in the end, the food tastes decent. I have had their chicken pot pie, buffalo chicken wrap, chicken salad, Philly cheesesteak sandwich, hamburgers and all were fairly good. read more

A friend encouraged me to try Cheddar's Casual Cafe stating their Monte Cristo was like Bennigan's. Remember Bennigan's Monte Cristo? Fried deliciousness. Cheddar's didn't quite measure up. Kind of a let down because I was so excited for a great Monte Cristo. The Monte Cristo was okay. Not bad not great. The macaroni and cheese I had as a side was good. I sat at the bar to eat-the bar tenders were very nice and fun. Maybe they shouldn't talk about personal stuff with the wait staff in front of customers but overall very nice. It is a solid restaurant. I'd go again but I probably wouldn't make a special trip to go there.I'd make a special trip for a Monte Cristo like Bennigan's had though. Anyone know a place? read more

Wonderfully delicious! And cheap! We've been there several times and it always hits the spot! I'm a sucker for the homemade chicken pot pie! And as far as drinks go! I recommend the Pain Killer!! Although it's kinda fruity and they limit you to only two... So if your driving... Maybe just stick to soda. Only complaint I would have is that the hostesses always suck! They take forever to seat you and are never there to greet you. But the waiters and waitresses are great! read more

Totally disgusted with this place! Called at noon and spoke with the manager who blew me off completely. I told him I had a party of 14 ( two of my sons' birthday ... family dinner). I asked him if we could make a reservation or call ahead seating. With a very cavalier attitude, he said we would have to come and "wait out turn". We came here almost four months ago, on New Year's Eve. It was our first dining experience at a Cheddar's as well, might I add. I mentioned this place to my family because I had driven past it a couple of times and it was always packed. Looking back, I don't even see the reason for why it's always packed. Anyway, on to the review. We waited for about 30 minutes until finally we were able to be seated. The staff was generally friendly, but our server was really slow. I think we waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I usually rely on menus and feedback from others, and the menu said that their chicken strips were world-famous, or something of that nature. Bottom line is, the chicken strips were gross. They were really dry, and the batter tasted like stale beer. I got the side order of shrimp, rice, and corn. The shrimp was a nauseating combination of spicy and sweet, and I think there was a hint of lime. (I cannot stand lime) The rice was meh.. I can make better stuff out of a box. And the corn was like those canned vegetables you heat for Thanksgiving, with a little too much butter. The only thing I liked were the cheese fries for the appetizer, but that's about it. read more

We have to admit our experience at Cheddars was disappointing. After requesting a spot on the patio, we were surprised to discover that they didn't designate fast or efficient coverage out there. We assume it simply came down to bad communication, because we were consistently offered other tables' before ours was delivered. Once ours' was delivered, it was cold. We did not savor our food; rather, we quickly ate it, swatting away flies and gulping down our margaritas. Ps, those were yummy. . . The only five star portion of the experience. read more

This is one of my fav places. HUGE and I do mean huge portions for small prices. I have eaten here about 20 times since it opened and have enjoyed every one! They have great sweet tea and lemonade. I have eaten the pot pie, the spasagna, the cajun catfish, the cornbread catfish, the burger, the key west shrimp, and every side they offer. EVERYTHINg is always amazing! The broccoli cheese casserole is amazing and a must have! Sometimes it is busy and I have had to wait up to an hour on a Friday night for a table, but its well worth it! I have never had bad service either. Its good for families, a friendly dinner, a date, or even a business dinner. Its by far one of the best chain places around. The management is amazing as well! Our waiter forgot a condiment and by the time he came back with it it was pretty much pointless because we got so hungry and tired of waiting (plus who wants cold, pricy food?) we just ate without it; in addition my husbands drink went without a refill for quite some time, not cool after eating chicken tenders and fries. I love coming here, especially with a picky group. Their menu is so big that it's impossible not to find at least one meal you want to try. My personal favorite is the spasonia-it's layered spaghetti like lasognia. If you like pina colladas, get the pain killer, it's amazing! read more

We usually have a good experience here, but today we received probably the worst service I've ever had in my life. We watched two tables sitting next to us get their drinks and food before we even got our drinks. Our bloody Mary's came out 20 minutes after we ordered them, at the same time as our dip and tenders appetizer. The spinach dip and queso had a film on top of them as if they were sitting in the window too long, our bloody Mary's were clearly old and watered down, and we haven't seen our server in well over ten minutes to take our lunch order.
