First up, is the Honey Butter Croissants . IYKYK and if you don't know, RUN to get you some. They are sooooo good. Warm, Flaky, Sweet and Buttery! Next, I had the Sirlon Steak and Ribs with the broccoli casserole and a loaded baked potatoes. The steak MOUTH WATERING. Ribs- FALL OFF THE BONE! This was my first time and I'm on the fence about returning. The food was "meh", service was subpar..however the atmosphere was inviting. At least the time of the day I arrived, which was 2:30. It wasn't crowded at all, ample parking and plenty of seating at the bar or in the actual restaurant. I ordered the following: Santa Fe spinach dip: 5/10 : not enough dip to chip ratio, way more chips. The overall flavor profile was just mediocre. I never received the salsa that the menu stated comes with it. The overall dip could have used more seasoning Veggie plate: 8/10: I had the loaded baked potato (note if you want bacon there is an up charge), broccoli and carrots. The carrots were delicious! Sweet and savory. My broccoli was cooked to perfection, however it lacked seasoning. The baked potato was a nice portion, however it again lacked seasoning . I also ordered a Texas margarita: 7/10: I've had better but it wasn't a horrible drink. Our waitress wasn't attentive at all! She only came to check on us once called (using the call server option from our table) I initially asked for lemonade, then water, then my margarita. Was only given ONE straw. If you don't want fast food but food fast, this is the place to be. Their hamburgers are delicious and seasoned. The salmon is also good. The prices were very reasonable. My Daughter and I were out and about looking at baby things(she is due in April and my Daughter in Law is due in December). We decided to check out Cheddar's as we were nearby and my Daughter said she was hungry. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed and not busy at 1 in the afternoon. We were able to be seated right away. I ordered the Key West Chicken and Shrimp with broccoli casserole and green beans and my drink of choice, club soda. My Daughter ordered the Country Fried Chicken with red beans and rice and green beans and her drink of choice was Mango Tea. The Waiter was pleasant and efficient and our food came out fast. Honestly, I was surprised at how good everything tasted! My food was seasoned the way I like it and the proportions were large so we had some to take home for a second meal. My Daughter felt the same and she is a picky eater. Okay Cheddar's! I see you! What a wonderful surprise. I saw a Monte Christo sandwich on their menu and my Husband loves those sandwiches. I was not expecting this level of service at all as it is known that different establishments tend to not be the friendliest or most professional in the DMV area. I arrived with a request for a party of 11. We were seated in 5 minutes after 95% of my party arrived. The hostess was friendly. After being seated, the waitress Stacy was more than awesome. Not only was she fun and inviting, but very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering for my large party. We had a birthday in the party and she was sure to give the "birthday boy" a special time. She even sent him home with a special treat at the end of our meal. Everyone loved her. The food was excellent. I have ordered from Cheddars- to go/pick up a few times and it was just "okay". Today's service exceeded all previous experiences with this particular restaurant. Starting off with homemade (everything is here) croissants, glazed with white icing, you can't really go wrong. Be patient--after all, it is made from scratch, but you won't be disappointed. I don't think they had many specialty menu (I need gluten and soy free) options, but others enjoyed ribs and chicken fingers. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! New management same piss poor service. I ordered food through the website. I picked it up and when I got home found I was missing 4 things. I called and they said it would be ready when I got there. I got there and 2 things were ready. They didnt have the dessert toppings at all and made me pay for the item the website didnt order. No apologies, no, hey here's a discount, no cares given at all by anyone. Wife and I were meeting some friends from out of town for dinner here at cheddars, we we seated rite away the hostess was very friendly. Our server Trevon J nogreeted us at the table took our drink order 2 margaritas 1 frozen a beer and another mix drink, came back with 2 waters left returned with 2 waters. Few minutes later returned with 2 regular margaritas we told him one was supposed to be frozen he left returned with the other two drinks. He finally returned with the last drink. He then took our food order, we got 4 meals 3 salads 1 with ranch 1 blue cheese and the other with honey mustard, he returned with 2 salads one with the wrong dressing and left we thought he was going to get the 3rd one, well he never came back we pushed the waiter button on the screen and asked other servers for him. He finally showed up with our dinners smelling of pot he tried to cover it up with perfume and mints. It didn't works, he turned the light off put our dinners in the middle of the table and we had to sort out our own food. Never asked what we needed, he should have never been a server I don't know how the manager lets employees smoke pit during work hours. We finally got everything after multiple trips carrying one thing at a time, we were there for 2 1/2 hours he walked by our table 2 times never stopped just said need anything. The other 2 table next to us the server for them was excellent always at the table Travon has a lot to learn, I didn't pay the friends we met did and she said she was leaving 5%. Angelina could smile more to get through her day. She seemed to select her tables. Either way, as a former hospitality employee I sure do treat my servers well. And sorry girlfriend, you would be someone that needs to go. She didnt offer refills, forgot some items, and even hinted for my party to leave. Didn't even ask if we're interested in dessert. Mind you, we were a quiet group. If you're looking for good service, don't dine here. Maybe do take out or find a new dining spot. Ok, so here's the deal. The good things were: I went on Friday evening at 6p and there was no wait. Very large establishment and the host and hostess were friendly. My waiter, Garrett was also very good and friendly. The ambiance was relaxing and staff was attentive. Four stars because the bathroom was terrible. The Honey Butter Croissants and Wisconsin cheese bites are awesome. I ordered the Caesar Salad and the Monte Cristo. The Caesar salad was the bomb, but the Monte Cristo, eh I've had better. There was very little meat once I started to bite into it and it was a bit more bread that was not needed considering the meat 2 bread ratio. I also had the Texas Sweet Tea and hunty and that was good. I'd never had Firefly SweetTea vodka. If you like sweet, this would be a good alcoholic selection. As for the major bad thing, the ladies restroom! It was terrible not clean at all and there was no hand soap in the dispenser and the dispenser was sitting on the counter so I had to poor the very little soap I saw in the dispenser in my hand. Please replace the dispenser, keep hand soap in it, and install it on the wall! Needless to say I did speak to the manager about it. Will I go back, yes, bcuz I like the overall experience and hopefully, by the time I go back they will have a new soap dispenser on the wall in the restroom and it will be clean. The drinks aren't all that strong, I got an island tiki, my boyfriend got the sweat tea twist. Plus side though: the drinks came fast! They usually take a while. I got the blackened shrimp and salmon over rice with carrots and "seasoned" green beans. The carrots and rice were the best most flavorful things on my plate. The other things weren't bad, just not what I expected. My boyfriend kept saying my fish looked fake. My boyfriend's steak was completely FULL of fat. More than half of it was fat. We know what to expect when we go to Cheddar's because it's not gourmet food, so we weren't that disappointed. Just don't come here with high hopes. It's always a hit or miss. read more

I had a great time with friends. Cheddar's is a nice place to bring family and friends to. The staff was attentive to the adult table and the kids table. Alex did awesome job,The food was cooked perfectly, the portions were just the right amount to finish. No leftovers. I liked the salmon and white fish especially the butter croissant with the side of broccoli cheese casserole and french fries. From the taste of my fried white fish and fries they have not changed the cooking oil in over a week! This place is too busy to serve food cooked in dirty grease! I could tell by the after taste of the fish and fries the oil was old and the presentation was off. The cornmeal, lumpy and tasteless! I did order a side of fried shrimp that was surprisingly good! That's it!! I ordered broccoli w my meal that was obliviously seared in a dirty pan. For the life of me, I cannot say why I came back after the first time here. This was my third visit and it was just as horrible as the first two. First off, the customer service here is horrendous. The servers and bartenders are rude, short and inattentive. Whenever someone suggests to come here, I cringe. The restaurant was clean and everything seem to be running efficiently. He always enjoys trying new places when he travels, and he was glad that he found this restaurant and was able to give it a try. For some of us this is our first time to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen which is a national restaurant chain known for its savory selection of chicken, burgers, ribs, seafood and more. Being that we were 7 without reservation on Saturday night, I walked in and asked for one around 6pm. Glad we did as the wait was 35-45 minutes. We waited 5 minutes once we were all present before the host called us. Our server was Iman very attentive and courteous. Started out with their complimentary honey butter glazed croissants which was deliciously good and asked for seconds. Skipped appetizers and ordered our entree beginning with Fall-Of-The-Plate full rack of baby ribs, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, Vegetable Plate, Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms, Top Sirloin Steak & Ribs Combo and Grilled Salmon. I came for lunch after a doctors appointment mainly because I'd eaten here about a month ago with my brother and had an amazing salmon pecan salad. It was so delicious the first time I wanted to see if it could be replicated. The establishment was clean, the hostess was very sweet and attentive, as was the waiter as soon as I was seated. Major points there. When the waiter approached the table, Croissant rolls covered with a honey butter sauce were served immediately. I ordered my salad, coffee and a side of broccoli cheese casserole. I wanted to do a veggie platter but two of the 4 sides I wanted (green beans & the red beans and rice are cooked with pork). The coffee was fresh yet strong just the way I like it. The food followed quickly (within 6-7 mins) And I thoroughly enjoyed the broccoli cheese casserole. It was cheesy, well seasoned, and the broccoli was tender without being mushy. I'd definitely recommend it. My pecan blacked salmon salad was served without the pecans but no worries, my server quickly got me some. Unfortunately, while the salmon was cooked to a great temp and still moist, it completely lacked flavor. I asked the waiter before even touching it if he was certain it was blackened and he said definitely. Well, if this was the chef's attempt at blackening salmon, he/she failed miserably. After adding pepper the salmon was still blah, so I asked for old bay or hot sauce, anything to give it flavor. He came back with the actual blackening seasoning and BAM!!! That's the flavor I was looking for from my first experience! It helped tremendously BUT adding the seasoning on top of already grilled salmon was a far cry from it being prepared properly the first time. I couldn't enjoy the salmon so ate around it. Side note on the Honey Mustard Dressing - it's really good but tastes like there is is hearty amount of horseradish added. Maybe my taste buds are deceiving me but I don't think so. Either way, I liked it because it helped elevate the flavor of an otherwise basic salad. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. Looking at the menu I'm tempted to try their Cheddar's Legendary Monster Cookie (Choc chip cookie baked to order with vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped nuts), but the server never returned so I paid out on the pad and left. Beautiful atmosphere with even a huge fish tank of tropical looking fish. Our waiter greeted us with care and was prompt to serving us. Great attitude and professionalism along with a good sense of humor. Omg! The drink I chose was called the painkiller since it looked pretty and tasty. Wow! My drink actually looked like the picture and even better in person. The taste, indescribable but beyond amazing and a must get in the very near future. It was like a pineapple colada but with a twist, best drink I've had this year by far. The food was great too and for $1.99 you can add shrimp , what a steal and not no baby tiny shrimps either. Prior to serving your food, they give you 2 croissants that's drizzled with a sweet butter or cream, mmmmmm yummy! Servings overall are great and pricing along with amazing service! We were seated immediately, and our sever was very prompt and pleasant, and the manager came by to ask how our experience ways going. The food was out extremely fast, and everything was great quality, and very well prepared. Our drinks were refilled before they were close to empty and the young lady thought of everything we needed before we asked for it. Have you ever ordered a nice steak and had to wait 15 minutes for steak sauce? This is the first time I have ever had the steak sauce before the steak came out so when it hit table I was ready to eat! I don't like giving 1- reviews however, this visit warrants it. Arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday. Restaurant a tad busy with a 20-min wait time for main seating and the bar being fairly empty. Into the bar area I enter. Bar top had seven customers with a few empty seats. Didn't want to be crowded so checked out the four high tops. First wobbled a lot. Second wobbled some and enough I know my bier would spill. Third barely wobbled and fourth wobbled as much as the first. So chose the third high top. A pet peeve of mine is wobbly tables; why can't management fix them. I mean, who wants to eat at a table where your entree slides off into your lap? One server in bar and the bartender. Server had two four-top booths at same time I sat. I know I've a small wait. Bartender standing and conversing with customers at bar. She knows I'm at the high-top, alone, and she knows the server will be awhile. Eleven minutes in and the bartender finally brings me a menu and informs me my server with be with me shortly. Duh ... Knew that. How about helping and getting my drink order. Help your server out! She walked away. About four or five minutes later a new server who had just come on duty stopped at table. Gave my order and bier selection. Eight mins later the new server has brought sodas to two of her tables and I'm with no Bier. Have been watching bartender and she's made three drinks in that time and hasn't put up a bier yet. I'm wondering if the bier order was put in. Bartender leaves bar area and returns after about three-four minutes with a bottle six-pack of the bier I ordered. Places six-pack on counter, pulls one bottle, opens it, places it at pick up area. As she turns she looks at me then around room for my server. She knows it's for me and I'm eight steps away. Why can't she just bring it to me? I'm semi-timing this and twelve plus mins go by. Bier still on counter and I'm at about 20 or 22 minutes since ordering. Food runner arrives with order and notices I have no silverware. She goes, gets, and provides to me. I take photos of plate and the server arrives. Notices no bier, turns to look at bar, sees the lonely bier and goes to get it. Let me remind you it's now been sitting on the counter, opened for about 14 minutes. Remember the six-pack I mentioned earlier ... guess where it's at? Yes, still on the countertop where the bartender placed it ... all five remaining bottles getting just as warm as my one opened one. I mentioned to the server the bier has been sitting awhile and would like a frosted glass. She returns with a glass which isn't frosted but is colder than my bier. I ask, "is this the coldest the bartender had?" She said it was only recently put in freezer and it was the coldest they had. Frustrating ... I had ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken with broccoli cheddar casserole and Cole slaw. The broccoli cheddar casserole was luke-warm, at best. The Cole slaw was cold and tasted pretty good ... however the Chicken ... I was served two boobs. Each grilled hard, was very dry and had barely been warmed on the grill top. Both chicken pieces had been cooked hours before or were left over from the Friday evening rush. I waited close to 28-minutes for cold, dry, tough, chicken and somehow the kitchen staff expects the customer to eat it. Asked server for a manager. She asked to help resolve issue but in my opinion this needed a managers touch. I ate the broccoli cheddar casserole and 1/2 of one chicken. Manager arrived. Provided my complaint and provided him the second chicken. He said the chicken is made to order and it couldn't be that bad as I was already eating one. I said there was no way either boob was made to order and both were cold and very dried out. His demeanor and the way he spoke to me said he didn't care in the least if I liked the food or not. He indicated he'd take 1/2 off the entree as I had already started eating. I'm shocked . I'm mad. And it took all my willpower to not make a scene. Based on this experience, If this was my first visit with a Cheddar's Scratch kitchen I'd never set foot in one again and I'd tell everyone I knew to stay clear. But I've been to this company's restaurants in Florida, many times. I know their food is good and better than what was served me. Cheddars use to have great food but they got rid of so many good items. I bought a meal today that was absolutely horrible. Specifically, it was the country fried chicken with white Gravy, seasoned rice and greenbeans. The steak tasted like chicken, the Gravy was completely watery and tasteless, the seasoned rice was gooey and tasteless and the greenbeans were hard. I through the meal in the trash were it belonged, wasted money and had no dinner. read more

Came to cheddars last night Saturday (3/5) for dinner since we had a gift card we received for Christmas. Arrived at 5:30pm and were told a 30-60 minute wait which was perfect as we wanted to have a drink before getting food. Headed into the bar and found enough seating for the four of us in our group. The bar tender in the bar was awesome. Offered us some buttered croissants. We tried several of the drinks on the menu. The painkiller, Long Island ice tea, and margaritas were excellent. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese bites as an appetizer. They were killer. Our table was ready at 6pm, so only 30 minutes wait. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our meals. Chicken tenders, ribs, chicken fried steak, and chicken fried chicken were delicious. They have great fries and the other sides were well done as well. If you don't have all the items for food or a drink why wouldn't you tell your customers instead of waiting and waiting to bring the items? At least give people a update. Let me change my item or order. Don't just not say anything. We had empty plates & cups other trash on the table the whole time we were eating because the server didn't even attempt to get the items. I had to get up from the table to ask the HOSTESS FOR A FORK BECAUSE THE WAITER NEVER CAME BACK. As a customer I shouldn't have to leave my table to ask the hostess for a fork because the waiter won't even attempt to come check on the table. I could not enjoy the food because I lost my appetite after waiting forever for all the items. That being said I will never come back to this location. If I had the ability to give negative stars then yes I would give this establishment -5 stars. Sorry not sorry but that waiter was unacceptable. If the maximum occupancy was up then I could understand. If the worker would've at least came to the table more and bring refills of water that would've helped. But he didn't he barely helped. Took forever and it just really ruined a first time experience. I hope new customers have a better experience than me but in all honesty unless it's the only restaurant open left in the world I would still rather eat dirt than to deal with horrible customer service. NEVER NEVER AGAIN. And yes I do mean everything I said in this review. Most of my reviews are positive. However this experience needs to be documented so the manager can either talk to the worker or even the whole location as a unit because this service was unacceptable. read more
