My husband & I had a terrible experience! The service was bad, the waitress made up several excuses for the poor service. Our appetizer plate was filthy and the cheese looked like it sat for a while before coming to us. My husband received the wrong plate and the manager never came out to talk nor apologize for their mistake. The atmosphere was clean and almost fancy, but they don't have spaces for huge parties in which we had to split up. I was really excited to try this place based on other people's reviews. The service was good. Our waitress was constantly checking on us. The portions were enormous. I ordered the steak and ribs. My daughter had the kid's hamburger. My wife had the chicken fried steak. The ribs were great and fell off the bone. This was the highlight of the meal. The steak was flavorless and awful. My daughter's burger was hard and had little taste. She ate maybe half the burger. I tried a bite and agreed with her dissatisfaction. My wife didn't care for her chicken fried steak. I recommend coming here early in the evening since this placed was packed on payday Friday. The wait line was huge. Again, ENORMOUS portions with great prices. Where do I even begin. I used to LOVE Cheddars! It was my boyfriends first time here and I hyped it up and shouldn't have. Worst experience I've ever had. Starting with the two hostesses who were ditzy and didn't know where to seat us and then saying " she just got a 5 top but she should be okay it's only two" and just being very slow and confused well yes as a past server that's totally fine..... anyhow we waited over 20 minutes to even get drinks. We sat for 10-15 min before my boyfriend had to go to the host stand and ask if we had a waiter and where she was. It then took an additional 10 minutes for her to show up and get our drinks. Low and behold it took almost 10 minutes for her to even bring them to the table, at this point I was more than ready to go but Chianna seemed nice so I was giving her grace. She brought our drinks and took our order finally. My boyfriend needed a refill and it took forever once again for her to notice and then she said I'll be back with a tea and I swear she forgot because again that took 10 minutes as well. Our food came out before she even brought a refill. Idk what she was doing, where she was going, or why it took so long to do every single thing when it Deff should be done much quicker. It doesn't take even 5 minutes to get a drink or a refill. She also spilt a drink on the person at the booth behind us. Service was horrible. My food was not bad but i was so displeased with the service I boxed it up and took it home. I then witnessed the two ditzy hostesses standing around not at the host stand to the point a young man asked to speak to the manager and they literally looked at him and didn't go get the manager. I went back to Cheddars. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a table this time. Ordered a Triple Treat appetizer - nachos, cheese sticks and tater skins - and a burger, plain, mustard on the side, with a side of broc/cheese casserole. Waited 30 minutes and they brought out a burger with fries, no broc/cheese. Said they would put it back "keep it warm for me". Uh no. 15 minutes later, they brought it back out, with an appetizer, just cheese sticks. Try again. 15 minute later the server came out and said they had made my appetizer wrong so it would be a few more minutes. 20 minutes. Then they brought it out, still not what I had ordered, but close enought. 5 minutes later, they brought out my burger and a bowl of heat lamp burned broc/cheese. Come on guys... you can do better! This place is awesome! Refreshing to see a restaurant that really makes the food from "Scratch" rather than open a bag and drop it in the fryer. The building is very nice and with a touch of class on the inside really makes this place stand out. The bar is separated from the dining area by a very large aquarium filled with saltwater fish. Very nice touch. The appetizers, meals and desserts are very well priced for what you get. Most and I do mean MOST meals are under $10 with a few exceptions such at a full rack of ribs being $13.99. Hands down this place is the biggest bang for your buck. The desserts are a really good way to end the meal. If you're like me that just wants a bite or two of a something sweet I recommend the "Dessert Shots" perfect size to curb the sweet. This is my new favorite place in Fayetteville. So when they give you a buzzer, they don't tell you the parameters as to how far you could go. They said they called us at 5:38pm and it didn't go off where we were which was in the back parking lot of the restaurant, and so we moved on! Is what she said. Upon continued visits; I have come to find that the left side of the building is for rookies.. Avoid that section like the PLAGUE especially if there is a large party sat at either corner! Sad that the waitstaff will neglect a smaller table thinking the bigger one will guarantee a better tip. (From personal exp as a server this isn't always true). I'm usually a good tipper but when I have to ask the hosts and other servers to bring what my server should have, THATS an issue. None the less I'll return. Next time I'll just be sure to ask to be seated in the big unnecessary fan section. read more

this was my first time ever eating at a Chedders establishment. I intended to order a rack of ribs but for some reason their "machine" was down. I settled with the Lemon Chicken entree. the entree met my standards but I wasn't amazed. the waitress was very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. the environment was well maintained and had a classy feeling. I've been meaning to visit Chedder's but it was never a priority so I was glad a friend suggested we go there for lunch. Interior is nice, and it was quite spacious. We were immediately seated, but perplexingly near the bar where we were a server's only table. Flagging them down was annoying, but they were sweet when they did come check up on us. The food was good, my burger and fries were hot. My only gripe was that we had to ask for napkins and utensils since the host didn't give us any. Eating a burger is not a dainty affair so two bites in and grease was all over my fingers and mouth. Nevertheless, small issue on service. My dad and I are visiting from New Orleans for the Spartan race this weekend. We drove all over looking for places that weren't completely packed, and Cheddar's was the only one that didn't appear to be. The wait was long, but the place was completely slammed. Once we got seated though, let me tell y'all, they were HAULING ASS. They brought out our croissants (the first time I've ever tried them) and they were soooooo warm and so good. We sat in the bar area and I ordered the El Patron margarita. Sometimes places are hit or miss with them, but that bartender knocked it out of the park. He double tagged with the server in the area to help serve food all while slinging out these drinks. I was almost sure that the food was going to take a while so I was prepared, but it came out in 15 mins or less. What an incredible feat for a restaurant that's incredibly packed. Only been here once, but really enjoyed the food. Sat at the bar where service was decent. The mixed drinks were pretty disappointing. After I ordered one of their seemingly nice signature mixed, I was disappointed to watch the "bartender" pull out a plastic jug of my pre-mixed drink :-/. That was the only downside of the meal. Got chips and queso...definitely add the beef to the queso. Also got the Cajun pasta which was amazing. Absolutely love their food, but customer service is terrible. I had reservations on a Tuesday night at 7:30 for 7 people. I arrived at 7pm and waited 45 minutes for a table. The funny part was that whole section was empty. As we waited for our food (which took about an hour) my drink was empty approximately 45 minutes before I was given a refill. When our food came the server confused a few of my friends who got food to go. As a result, one of my friends had a styrofoam box as her plate. As if that wasn't bad enough, they didn't have any rolled silverware so we were forced to eat with plastic forks and knives. My sister who ordered steak wanted some A1 sauce and after 4 different attempts asking 4 different servers within 30 minutes still no sauce and her steak went cold. Also my salmon was served with a nice strand of hair on it. The ONLY reason I gave it any stars is because someone from the back came out and apologized for the food they served me and even remade my sister's steak. Plus the previous times I came to Cheddars the food was always great. The manager didn't even come by the table and our party was in there for a good 3 and a half hours. I would have selected a Zero stars option, however Yelp would only let me select 1 star. My first experience at Cheddar's in Fayetteville was a good one. Short wait, Great service, great food. My second experience was at dinner with a group of friends. After waiting 30+ minutes at the bar for a table, we were seated and immediately ordered appetizers along with our drinks to make up for time lost. After waiting for twenty minutes (no waitress, no drinks, nothing) we were greeted by a new waitress who apologized and acted outraged on our behalf that our service was less than acceptable thus far. About an hour later (literally almost an hour and a half after being seated) we were told by the waitress that our appetizers were being re-made and that they were on the house (Well damn, I'd sure hope so at this point). Although tempted to leave, the trouble of going to another restaurant on a Friday night and re-starting an experience somewhere else seemed lengthy so we decided to wait it out (with the hope that management/cook staff would be aware of the less than satisfactory experience and try to compensate for that by making it better). Eventually the appetizers come out and we had ordered our entrees. The appetizers (pints of beer and cocktails later) were okay and satisfied the hunger and frustration that had been building up. Thirty minutes later our food arrives and appears to be correct as we ordered. After taking two bites from my chicken sandwich, I look down to place it onto my plate and see pink! I was frustrated and disgusted. The manager came out and apologized and said that he was going to be taking this up with his cook staff and that is was being taken seriously and etc etc etc. Another friends burger was not that great....I mean after waiting that long what hungry Male (who has waited almost 2 hours for his meal) doesn't finish his burger and fries?!? Another dish at our table had the same review. In addition, after being served 5 out of 6 dishes at our table, the most simple dish (chicken pasta salad) was not brought to someone in our party until 10 minutes after we were all served. The manager made our meals complimentary and just as soon as she took our cards for our drink tab.....what do you know....the computer systems are down (WTF!)....15-20 more minutes of ridiculousness. We were happy to be finally leaving, I just wish I hadn't of left with such poor service....still somewhat hungry and with undercooked chicken in my stomach. As we were walking out of the door I noticed the Grade: 90 sanitation score near the host desk.....Wow. What more is there to say about Cheddar's in Fayetteville, NC? read more

This is by far the best restaurant in Fayetteville! We got there just after 5:30 and waiting a few minutes but it long at all. Sat down our server came over almost immediately and introduced herself and took our drink order very quickly. My wife and I got strawberry and peach sweet tea, it was so good! We ordered the onion rings and chips and queso for appetizers. The onion rings were massive and delicious, and the queso was amazing! I ordered the New Orleans Cajun Alfredo pasta, absolutely outstanding, my wife got the chicken pot pie, again outstanding! My kids loved their meals as well and was a great portion for my 10 year old and my 6 year old! My wife ordered the mini desserts and loved each of them. Surprisingly good for Fayetteville! Large portions at decent prices and good service. The onion rings appetizers was huge and really tasty. House salad and croissant was fresh and tasty. The steak and ribs combo was ok (it's better at Texas Roadhouse, but of course it costs more there), my salmon was ok (it's better at Luigis). My skinny margarita was tasty. I was so disappointed on our outing to Cheddars last night. I've been before but my husband and kids have not. It was Friday and it was slammed packed. We waited 30min to be seated (not an issue). Our server I'm not even sure of her name lacked service skills. Waited over an hour for our food to arrive, to start the plating was crazy. A little dollop of mashed potatoes and a meatloaf that was burnt on a HUGE plate. I ordered a steak to be cooked well done, it was burnt on the outside, tough, and pink on the inside. The Mac and cheese had a dirty water taste to it. Further inspection of my plate you can see the plate is dirty, it has a dirty ring around the edges. read more

Went here with my husband to try out their food for my first place to eat coming from California. He ordered their spasagna, while I got their artichoke dip and chips as well as their New Orleans pasta. Their artichoke dip was amazing. Creamy, smooth, warm, and most of all packed with cheesy flavor! The sour cream That came with it was just perfect; an amazing pair. The chips were not over powering which I loved as well. As far as the main dishes go, it was really good however I have tried better. Their New Orleans pasta was something I found interesting with their sausage and touch of Cajun spices. Pretty salty, but if they just worked on that part, man it will go far! Loved this place, service was kind, helpful and most of all patient. 1 star for environmental ambiance 1 star for service :) would love to come back and try other items off of their menu! read more

Service at this location is not as good. Depends on when you go. Our waiter failed to take away our dirty dishes, leaving them on the table as we ate. The croissants were dry and stale but he brought some more. The lemon whitefish was delicious however. I will say this. The managers came and talked to us and we're very polite. This is my husband and i's favorite place to eat (currently) in Fayetteville. The food is good. The atmosphere calm and serene. The inside is beautiful, classy, and designed well...which surprised me given the name. I was expecting a hole in the wall but that is so not the case. The food is excellent. However as a vegetarian I'm throughly disappointed in the lack of selection on their menu. They have the "vegetable plate" option which allows you to choose 4 sides....most of which contain meat or meat broth. They have salads that I've order with out meat and have been ehh. One waitress we had recommended the an Asian salad which was great except it had a bit of chicken in it (I saw it before I put it in my mouth). I order the same thing every time we go which is delicious, but causes me to get bored and we go elsewhere from time to time because of that. read more

I just can't pick a favorite dish because everything I ever ate here is delicious! The chicken fried chicken is crispy AND juicy... The monte Christo sandwich is a mouthwatering flavor explosion .. And don't get me started on the flaky hot butter croissants and the croissant bread pudding ! Today was the first trip back to Cheddars, Fayetteville in 3 years. We moved away and was back this weekend. Cheddars was a MUST stop. We had a late lunch arriving at 3:30. The parking lot was packed but that did not cause us to shy away. We were seated within 5 minutes in a very business restaurant. Lunch was amazing, like before. We had queso & chips, Monte Cristo (like manna from heaven) and New Orleans Pasta. It may be a good thing for my body that we don't have a Cheddars location in Columbia, SC. First time at this location. We arrived there around 8 pm on a Wednesday evening. Restaurant wasn't crowded and we were immediately seated. Waitress was very nice took our order immediately because we knew exactly what we wanted as we frequent the location in Md on a regular basis. Food took a bit to come out so I of course was expecting it to be piping hot but everything on my plate was cold chicken tenders cold fries cold honey croissants cold. I don't know why it took so long to serve us cold food they could have just brought it to us in a to go box and said warm it up at home.
