    Ribs

Large restaurant that serves approximately 80 people. Cozy environment, laid back. Our server promptly took our order and the turnaround rime was relatively quick. I had a half rack of ribs that I couldn't finish due to the portion size. Oh well, I have a midnight snack!

I've been to one in Atlanta years ago, finally came to this one. The chicken tenders and shrimp didn't have seasoning, you definitely had to use the honey mustard for flavor. Loved the croissant and drink.

The food was super good, and the waitress was so sweet and funny. I really enjoyed it and the setting is so dark and cozy.

    Beautiful dining room.

Totally unexpected experience. What a beautiful building and friendly staff. The food tased excellent but had a few issues. (Medium burger was well done and lettuce was wilted). Father's Day today and we had a beautiful time. The day was tainted by poor maintenance of the facility. Our booth was sticky, the table was sticky, the floor was wet from humidity and smelled like it was cleaned with old bleach. We waited outside for our table where I had to clean my arms from the dirt on the walls and the cigarette disposal was so neglected it was stopped up with ash. Sad that such an excellent experience could be overshadowed by neglecting your building. Friday.... Our server. Was amazing. She single handedly saved our impression of the restaurant. She was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

I thoroughly enjoyed trying this restaurant out. It was my first time here and the food was very good. I ordered the New Orleans pasta and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly spiced, perfectly seasoned. All I asked for was some extra Alfredo sauce and that set it off! Also, the butter croissant top tier! I will go there again when I'm back in the area.

I've been a fan of Cheddars since I lived in Texas. Its been many years since I've been to one and I was not disappointed with my visit to this location. Unlike many restaurants this one seems to have a full staff, so even though they were full i got a seat right away and the food didn't take long to come out. The food tasted as good as I remembered and I will make sure it doesn't take years for me to come back again

This is our second visit here, and our first time with the dinner menu. There were lots of great choices! We tried the hush puppies appetizer and the deviled eggs to start. Great presentation and delicious. For entrees we went with the chicken and gravy, fish tacos and the love bug smash burger. Huge portions and really really good. We were very full afterward. We wanted to have a little more leisurely time there, maybe try a dessert, but we had to be at an event, so there was a time constraint. Overall, this is a great spot in downtown Belmont. Also, this is Jonas family owned restaurant so check out all the music memorabilia by the restrooms.

This spot is beautiful, but the guitarist right behind me as our group of nine just wanted to visit and celebrate definitely put a huge dampener on our meal. We ordered a bit of everything and shared. The food was just ok..nothing really stood out. The hushpuppies were over cooked. The pimento was delicious, but serving it with a 'cheesy ' bread took away from the flavor of their delicious recipe.

As a girl born in Texas, a really good chicken fried steak is practically part of my DNA. It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

The bread was hot and soft. The cheese was delicious as well. Will definitely order this again. For the mains, we went with the Chicken and Dumplings and the Southern Fried Steak. The Chicken and Dumplings were amazing as well. I always worry about the balance of chicken vs dumplings but this was very well balanced and delicious. The dumplings were cooked well and the chicken was very flavorful. The Southern Fried Steak was fantastic and well. No complaints about this dish either. Every component was well made and delicious. The only complaint I had was the service really went down hill after we got our meal. Our server didn't check on us until she delivered the bill which was disappointing because initially the service started out so well. The Southern Pecan is a good spot. Stop in and grab a bite.

If you get asked if you want to sit downstairs or upstairs I would totally say upstairs. The ambiance and views up there is so nice. Certain seats you can see right down into the kitchen and other seats give a great view to a movie screen which movies are playing. Love it! The service was great. Very attentive and super friendly. Started the meal with some drinks of course, so cute the drinks named after famous movies. Got the cheesy bread, this is a must please don't go and NOT order this. I could have just ate a plate of these and been satisfied. The bread was so good and packed with oozed out cheese! I went with two what they call first plates for my meal..the meatballs with polenta and fried green tomatoes! The meatballs were good, I enjoyed the polenta, was creamy and had good flavor. The fried green tomatoes, BOMB. They were seasoned and fried perfectly. Then came with charred corn which was soooo good and topped with smoked pork belly! Soon and the plate sat in front of me you could smell the smoke, killer dish! Rest of the table had, a burger, the big short, a omelette stuffed with short ribs and topped with kimchi, and charbroiled chicken with brown rice, pesto and blistered tomatoes. Everything was very good. On top of the fried green tomatoe dish, I also loved the short rib omelette. The short ribs were so good! Sweet, smokey with Asian seasoning. Stuffed in an egg, yea can't go wrong! The restaurant is in Gastonia a little drive from Charlotte, but I would make that drive again and again, spot is that good.

The restaurant was very clean, and the ambiance was very interesting. Our waitress was very informative and professional with her service to our family. I feel the food prices, to include the appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts are very overpriced. Our family of 5 left there with a $410.00 tab and we did not have any alcoholic drinks. We had never been to the Webb Kitchen, and speaking for myself, I probably will not return. I had ordered what looked like mouthwatering baby back ribs. I wanted to try both entrees, so I ordered a full rack of ribs with dry rub and BBQ sauce. Much to my surprise, the ribs that were served tonight were extremely small, overcooked, and had very little meat on them. Additionally, the little amount of meat that was on the ribs was very tough. Not too happy about my experience tonight! Bryan M.
