I have been to Cheddars a few times. There menu seems kind of generic. When I got my food it came with dirty silverware. I asked for a different set and I get a slightly cleaner set. The side of gravy I got for my mashed potatoes was so small. It didn't even cover the top of my mashed potatoes. When my family or friends go to cheddars I don't go or suggest to eat somewhere else. We tried to get a large table for a birthday party. We were told there would be a twenty minute for a table. Thirty minutes later we were shown two booths and told that would be the only option as there was a group still at the large table and another party of ten ahead of us. I recently visited this location for lunch. I was seated very quickly, and our waitress came to our table right away. The restaurant had several customers, but it was not that busy. My sister and I ordered our normal meals off the menu, but this time there was not any macaroni and cheese available. Our waitress said it would be an hour wait for the macaroni and cheese, therefore, we had to choose a different side from menu. I explained to the waitress that there wasn't anything else I would like. I asked if I could just have a croissant, she said no that unfortunately she couldn't do that. I asked her what other options did I have then, so she advised me that all I could do was pick another side item but NOT the croissant. Thats when I asked for the manager, so she walked off and told him I wanted a croissant. The manager came over to the table and said he would do that for me. When our food came out everything was fine. We did ask for sauces that where never brought out to us. I tried to get my waitresses attention several times, I even raised my hand to catch her attention... but she just walked back to the kitchen. So I stood up and walked over to the bar, the lady at the bar had to go find my waitress. After that we received our sauces ALONG with the check. I was NEVER asked would I like dessert, how was my food, or did I need a box... I just came back to the table to my check and sauces. I have NEVER received bad customer service like this before. I will NOT be going back to this location! Food is GREAT, but Customer Service is HORRIBLE !! I do not recommend this location. read more

We had a decent size party 8 adults and 4 kids. We arrived at 630 and waited an hour while other smaller parties were seated ahead of us instead of them putting tables together. We ordered drinks and app and were served pretty quickly. We ordered our food and a couple minutes later our apps came. They were good. At this point it's 8pm. 15 minutes later 3 people's food come out. 5 minutes later another 3 people's food. Another 10 minutes later and now we all have our food. I ordered the ribs and tenders combo with broccoli casserole and mac and cheese. I eat my sides first and cut a rib off. I take a bite and it's hard and crunchy. I take another bite and the same. It's bad enough that we waited so long to get seated and served but for the main course to be inedible is inexcusable. At this point our kids are upset because it's so late and they're hungry. Cheddar's almost always has excellent food. The portions are generous and the coffee is spot on! My most recent trip to this family-friendly restaurant was looking to be fantastic. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so my wife and I sat outside with our two small children (ages 3 & 4). The table beside us had three people, with the older lady smoking like a chimney. I politely asked if she could not smoke - two small children. She got all belligerent, claiming that, "she's allowed to smoke," and, "you can sit inside since I'm not allowed to." The staff caught the tail end of her childish rant, and seemed to pick up on it, since they were very friendly to us as we asked to have our meals to go. ATTN: MANAGEMENT: Fantastic food, friendly and attentive service. While you cannot control your customers, you can control the environment that you provide to your customers. You've lost a regular customer until you GET WITH THE 21st CENTURY AND BAN ALL SMOKING AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. I will take my money elsewhere until the changes are made. read more

Business lunchs at Cheddars a couple if times and it's pretty good. Nothing amazing on the menu but good solid American chain restaurant food. The service was really good and the prices are reasonable. The marinated grilled chicken salad is one of my favorites. read more

me and my friends wanted some food, we are hungry and just got back from carowinds. we got there about 9:15ish. was told it was a 20 min wait and that's fine it's a saturday that's okay. we waited and got called on and went to our table. no napkins or silverware. got our appetizer, the chips and queso, and there was a hair on our chip. we checked to see if it was any of our hairs and it didn't match so, a little grossed out we just pushed it aside. then we ordered and just to make a long freaking story short we left around 11:00ish. our food took FOREVER, and when it got there... where was our silverware??? management took off 25% (only about 5 dollars and some change) to make up for our almost TWO HOUR visit just to get such simple orders. i get it was a saturday and they're busy and that's totally okay. but two hours? and 5 dollars taken off? kinda bs. won't be back sadly, used to be a favorite read more

This was the absolute WORST dining experience my husband and I have ever had! We will not go back and definitely do not recommend. The service sucks! We ordered alcoholic beverages before we placed our food order and we didn't get the drinks until we were almost done eating our food, and when the waitress brought the drinks she spilled half of my husband's drink all over him and didn't even say a word!! My husband and I were sitting in the bar area for the second time (bad the first time and said we never would again) BUT this time was horrible.... at first our waitress took our order for drinks, our app and our food. My husband needed a refill on his sweet tea, our waitress brought him UNsweet tea and didn't give me a refill. She walked off and it's like she disappeared. So he had to ask some other waitress to give him a sweet tea since the one she brought was unsweet. She brought him a sweet tea and SLAMMED the glass down on the table and kept walking because she was mad she was even asked (since she wasn't our waitress I'm assuming). So then our waitress finally reappeared and brought him another sweet tea and me a water. So at this point we have 6 glasses on our table and a spinach and artichoke dip sitting at our small booth in the bar area. Our waitress never once removed any of the glasses, or plates out of our way. FINALLY when the food came out i had to ask our waitress to remove some of the stuff out of our way.... she was just going to leave it. By this point we were so annoyed and honestly just ready to go. We started to eat... my husband found not one but TWO hairs in his food. I got up and went to find a manager. She came over and i met her and talked with her and told her about our visit. She said she would discount our ticket and she "was sorry for the service bc we didn't feel important" since we were basically forgotten for a quite sometime. She asked if there was anything else she could do. I said sure, how about more coleslaw since that's where the hair was found and he actually was enjoying it before he found one of the hairs. She said okay and she would be right out with our new check/coleslaw. We waited for 10 minutes for her to come back. She never came back, and our waitress came back TWICE during this time asking if our check was ready for her take. Finally we said yeah just to get out of there. Worst service I have EVER had in my LIFE!!!!! And the manager didn't even care! We will never go back to this restaurant. If i could check more than one of the reasons for my complaint i would. I just chose "comments regarding service" because it sums up our experience best. But "comments regarding food" would need to be checked as well since we found 2 hairs. I believe there are absolutely NO standards for the employees who are hired at this location OR the manager. I've heard from multiple people the won't return. When this place first opened I have to say it was my favorite place to eat. Now it seems like the service has slowed down and gotten worse though. The last time I went there it seemed to take forever to get our drinks, then our food. I could have understood if they were really busy but they were not. Our server didn't seem to be very interested in checking in on us either which was really surprising because we usually have great service here. The server literally came to our table maybe three to four times total (to take our order, then bring drinks, then our food, then the check). Which don't get me wrong I do not like someone that seems to hover over you while you try to enjoy your meal and chat but we did not even get asked if we needed refills on our drinks until the server decided to bring our check. The food was also not hot when it finally arrived to our table which is really unusual service from this place. I've ate here a handful of times over the years and the experiences have varied but most have been subpar. Tonights experience has nailed the coffin shut for me and I will not return. First, we were told the wait time was 15 minutes. Try more like 25 minutes. Once seated, 15 minutes went by and no waitress had come to take our drink order. Finally the hostess came by and took the drink order and our food order. Several tables around us were complaining about not seeing the waitress also. She finally appeared and serviced 2 other tables and never acknowledged us. Another server brought our food out but we had not even gotten our salads yet. Asked to speak to the manager and she did come speak to us about 15 minutes later and comped the meal and said the server was overwhelmed and new. I don't care if she is new, she only had 2 tables and didn't even acknowledge us. There seems to be a bigger problem here overall and that is management and orientation of new staff. read more

I have eaten the buffalo wrap, grilled catfish, club sandwich and chicken tenders. The food is always good but the service is hit or miss. The last time I went there, the waitress shorted me a dollar and brought out the wrong topping for my potato. My husband and adult daughter and I went out for a nice meal Saturday night. We arrived around 7pm. and were told the wait would be about an hour. We had driven about 30 min. so decided the wait was worth it and found the bar and ordered a couple Rum drinks and a beer. The drinks were excellent and we saw there was an empty table and asked if we could have it. We could, so turned in our beeper device and our server, Rachel, greeted us promptly and brought us waters. We did not order any appetizers as it sounds like they rarely arrive before the food. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is very hard to find and the Broccoli Cheddar casserole. These were excellent. My daughter ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and the Broccoli cheddar Casserole.She kept making yummy noises while eating. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwhich with fries which he also enjoyed. Rachel came back to check on us a number of times and we rewarded her by ordering dessert. :-) My daughter and I shared the Cookie sundae and my husband had the Apple pie al a mode .The bill was what we expected. The WORST service I've ever experienced at Cheddars!!!!! It wasn't the server it was the kitchen!!!! They can't seem to make a burger right!!! I had 4 different burgers brought to me within the 2 HOURS we were there!!! Took an hour to get the 1st original order!! The 1st burger was not well done, the 2nd wasn't even the burger I ordered, the 3rd was the same wrong burger that was brought to me the 2nd time with BBQ sauce and onion straws added to it & the 4th was finally what I ordered but no tomato!!!! So I ended up leaving with my food in a to go box....still not being made right!!!! GET IT TOGETHER IN THE KITCHEN PLEASE BECAUSE YALL TRULY SUCK AT YOUR JOBS!!!! Also EVERY wrapped silverware we were given was dirty with food caked on it except 2!! That's disgusting!!! And NOT ONCE did a manager come by our table!!! Just took the burger off the bill!! My family and I tried Cheddar's right when they opened a few years ago and it was okay, but it was never a top place for us to eat. Tonight, we decided to try Cheddar's again just to see if it had changed. I would like to note WASN'T crowded. It was one of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had. It took forever for someone to come wait on us in the first place. Our waitress took at least 10 minutes to bring our drinks to our table. We had to beg for refills. After 30minutes of waiting for our food with no word, our waitress brought our food to the table and dropped it. As manager of a restaurant myself, I understand these kinds of accidents happen and she apologized profusely, but the manager of this branch never once came to apologize or speak with us about making the situation right. The manager even walked past the fully spilled food on the floor at our table and looked at us but didn't come to check on the situation at all. It was extremely poor management on the part of the manager. Customer service is extremely important in this field, and they made us feel as though they didn't care about quality of service or food at their restaurant. The sweet hostess, who was elderly, was absolutely wonderful when she didn't have to be. She came multiple times to check on us, brought us refills and extras. She was the only tiny saving grace of this visit. I've never been more appalled at the way a manager or owner handled a situation. I shouldn't have had to ask to speak with her about the situation. It will be a long time before we go back. You've been warned! read more

The food was alright, not great for the price I paid. I went here with two friends. One of my friends is a vegetarian and has been for around 6 months. When we ordered she ordered a vegetable plate and made sure to tell our waitress to make sure there is no meat in her's. When she got her food there was a piece of chicken mixed into the broccoli. We couldn't believe that after asking for no meat there was a piece of meat in the broccoli.
