Which at this point I assumed I was not going to be charged for food I was now unable to eat due to us leaving and being done with our meal. Cheddars is typically one of the places that we order the family dinner. For Christmas Eve, we thought we would pick up a family meal to make it easier. We ordered in the morning and scheduled it for 3:30. They have a large variety of family meals but our favorite is the chicken strips. We did the chicken strip meal with potatoes and corn and added an extra side of carrots. The meals come with six croissants. As we neared the restaurant, I had a text stating that it was ready and to check in when we arrived. We arrived right at 3:30 and pulled up and checked in. You park on the West side of the building in the numbered spots. As soon as we pulled up and checked in, they came out to ask if it was us and told us it would be right out. It only took two minutes for ALL of our food to be brought out. The food was delicious, like always. I didn't realize that the potatoes didn't come with gravy. Ended up at Cheddars by accident (the place we were going nearby was backed out the door). Was first very impressed with the cleanliness, fresh bread, and overall feel. We were seated near the bar next to the largest party in the restaurant. Only one server working this area, the bar, and call in orders. After ordering, we waited a little over an hour to get our food. Once it arrived one of our kids meals was wrong (ordered a hamburger but was brought a cheeseburger). The rest of our party finished eating their meals and still had not received the hamburger which was supposed to be reordered. Was able to nurse my original drink, never was offered a refill. This is a great place. It is a little over a year old and, has a pleasant decor and seems very clean. Obvious precautions related to COVID-19 are being taken. The food was fantastic. We had a rack of ribs that were tender and tasted great. A very healthy appetite is needed for a full rack, unless you like taking home leftovers. We also had the chicken fried steak and it was awesome. Plenty again and needed a take-home container. All meals are reasonably priced. So, our rating for the food is a BIG 5! Haley, our server, brings the overall score down. For the most part, we were invisible to her. Although she only had a few tables, she seemed overwhelmed. It was impossible to get her attention even when we activated the flashing red light on our "call server" device. She literally walked right past us without acknowledging it. She coasted by, dropping off our dinners and avoided us until we were finished eating. Only once when she fleetingly passed by did she look back over her shoulder and asked, "Are you guys doing okay" to which I responded as she was walking away, "No, we're not!" Her indifference towards us was appalling. Generously, and to ensure that our overall score for this otherwise very nice restaurant is appropriate, we will give Haley a 3- score, but a 2 would be more accurate. We arrived to Orange Lake Resort this afternoon. We have been coming to Orange Lake since 1998 and are always excited to see how the area has grown! Today we were pleasantly surprised to see Cheddars Scratch Kitchen! We enjoyed our dinners of Country fried chicken and Ribs and shrimp! Portions were enough for lunch tomorrow and the starter croissant with honey butter drizzle were spectacular! We liked the friendly staff and the reasonable prices! I can highly recommend this spot on Irlo Bronson! Kids options look good too! A bit more than your typical chicken strips and grilled cheese. Very disappointed in this establishment. I went here with my friend and after waiting 20 minutes to seat we were given a table yet to wait 10 minutes without even someone waiting on us. Other people sat down and received attention first. Very unorganized and a cluster here. Not to mention there was tons of empty tables with people waiting for no reason. We walked out. Went in on a Friday night at 8, there was a delay for seating which we totally understood and sat at 8:20. The severs were very busy and we did not get asked for drinks until almost nine and did not get food until almost 10. If there were managers out we only saw them when we finally complained as we had been waiting for food for over 45 minutes. The manager was nice and explained the try with our food was dropped and he did take care of our meal. However, due to the service and the amount of large parties that were seated at the restaurant I will not be going back until the pandemic stress are over. We have eaten at cheddars before and had a decent meal, however, of all the times to have an epic-fail experience, it was yesterday. Our family hasn't been together ... all together for 11 years, so we planned a special dinner to celebrate ALL of our birthdays at once. We were treating and excited. We were given bread at the beginning...and then waited 42 minutes, only to be told, " oops so sorry, we dropped the burger on the floor and we're remaking it! " ( I get it, things like this happen )...without bringing anyone else's food... The two things that showed up promptly, were my granddaughters' appetizer... And her dessert/ chocolate cake with ice cream??? ( Now? Cake)ice cream? We haven't even eaten dinner yet? ) 1 hr. and 6 minutes after we arrived ( and many times being told " your food will be up shortly " ), our food came in sloooow progression. First, the burger, which was freshly cooked... Then the potpies that were filled with chicken soup? Wet, runny and messy. ( Asked for more plain bread for soaking up the runny potpie... And it was doused in sugar/honey .... With potpie? ) The top sirloin that my daughter- in-law ordered, medium rare, was now like a flank steak/tough... Clearly sat under the heat lamp for a very long time. By the time my grand daughter could eat her cake, it was drowned in milk from the ice cream melting. Not once were we offered a complimentary appetizer while we waited so long for any food, or a dessert gesture ( besides a croissant )...nothing!! No discount of any kind. Nothing. Got there for lunch and I was told there was a 10 to 15 minute wait. The hostess took the time to know everyone's last name waiting and kept Us updated on the wait which was less than promised. As I waited for my table to be ready the hostess took my drink order and had a fresh croissant waiting for me when I arrived. At the point it's five stars for first impression alone. I know the food quality is always on point. So props to doing the little things right. And there a Krispy Kreme next door. So bonus points for that. read more

We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the service and the food...so pleased, in fact, that we returned a few days later to enjoy another meal. At that time we found out this location has only been open a week! We never guessed as the staff was very efficient and friendly. Service was quick and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. Our waitress, Elizabeth, on our first visit was amazing. Very personable, friendly and efficient. Hoping maybe they will expand to open locations in the upper Midwest! We ordered our appetizer and asked to order more croissants, and out waitress Capriane told us they weren't worth it. I told her thanks for the advice, but we would like to order them. After our appetizer, we waited almost 20 mins for our meals. My daughter ordered a burger and they sent it out without the buns. We had to flag down our waitress and let her know. She took the plate away and someone else brought out the burger. We then asked about the croissants that we ordered 20 mins before and had them brought to us. Our waitress NEVER checked in with our table after that. No drink refills, no napkins, no waters. NothingShe walked around and avoided us. When we were done eating, I started stacking up all of the plates in a pile. My kids wanted desert, but I was over this place and just wanted to pay and leave. I would like to give recognition to the AMAZING staff at Cheddars #2195 in Kissimmee, Fl. I had called and spoke to the General Manager Mr Bill Roberts around 11:30 am on 2/13/2022. It was Super Bowl Sunday and I was having some difficulty in finding a place to feed my family following my mothers funeral service which was 3 pm that afternoon. I understood that Cheddars does not take reservations but I wanted to know if there was any possibility he would be able to accommodate approximately 20 people around 5 pm. He said he would be honored to take care of us after our somber occasion. He did say there might possibly be a wait which is completely understandable. He only asked that I call when we were heading to the restaurant so they would know our approximate arrival. I called close to five that evening as we were leaving the funeral home and spoke with the hostess whose name I believe is Ariana and informed her we were on our way but the actual head count was 30 and I told her I completely understand if we needed to be split up a little with the change in party size. She was very friendly and without missing a beat said it was no problem at all. My father and I arrived about 10 minutes after the rest of the family got there and much to my surprise the entire rest of the family was already seated and being attended to by Dan and Tianna. I spoke with the evening manger Billy both at the door and at the end of the meal and thanked them for being so accommodating to us. The service we received was absolutely outstanding. The back of house manager Kaitlin sent out all our food with precision and an eye for the quality that Cheddars is known for. I can not express enough how appreciative I am to this team for going above and beyond to take care of our family yesterday. Currently trying to enjoy my food while the workers have a very loud and obnoxious meeting a table away from us without masks. Two out of 5 workers have no mask on. One worker had his nose out. There's also been a large group seated right on top of us. Burger came with done even though I asked for medium - lemon pepper chicken has no flavor as well. We consistently had to ask for our waitress for a refill or anything else we needed. Then whenever she came around or if we any other waiter/waitress happened to stop it took even longer. Also they would not clear plates that were finished or empty glasses. The table became very crowded. We did not go at a busy time and there where plenty staff on the floor. Everything was going great when we got here. Croissants were great but upon the arrival of the entree is where it all went to mush. Here's some examples of the things that went wrong with my family's meals. My grandmother ordered a steak and loaded potato. Steak was well when it was supposed to be medium, etc rice was disgusting. I ordered the chicken tenders and steak which i ordered medium well which was great but the chicken was close to freezing! My mother's steak was also supposed to be medium and came out well done. Also the potato she ordered was the smallest serving i've ever seen with no sour cream..which she ordered. My aunt's pasta was dryer than my social life.
