This place is great to eat at. Good portions and their spinach dip is fantastic.

They gave our party of 25 away to a party of 12. We all had to wait for 3 hours in the lobby until those 12 were finished. Several of our guest had items from there order brought out 5 minutes before it was time to pay and everyone was done eating. We were not given an official apology or even addressed as a group by the manager. If the town was not filled with graduation parties we would have gone somewhere else. This use to be my favorite restaurants. But probably will not be returning. Good food though. read more

Cheddars is one of mine and my family's favorite places to eat at. Today we visited a cheddars in Morgantown and had the worst service, worst food, and worst experience that we have ever experienced at a Cheddars or really any restaurant. Our waitress was rude, slow, unapologetic, and disrespectful. We had empty drinks for more than half of our stay. 3 out of 4 of our dishes were cold, also our broccoli was rock hard because of it not being cooked. When we told our waitress that our food was cold and uncooked she said oh, then left for 10 minutes. Finally a manager came out and gave us our food and never once asked if we needed anything else, that they were sorry for our inconveniences or offer something to compensate for the poor service and food. Working in the food business I have been in the kitchen and out on the floor, this was awful customer service in every aspect possible. We will not be visiting cheddars anymore. read more

Pretty great place to grab some food and drinks. I was there with some coworkers and it made for a great meeting place. The food was very good and the drinks will catch your eye! It's not very expensive either if you ask me. Compared to some of the other places I have eat around Morgantown WV. I recommend this place to anyone who wants great food and a good casual place to have nice conversation. Oh and before I forget the staff was also amazing. The service is horrific. I brought my kids (7 & 4) in for dinner early (445pm), before the rush so we could get in and out quickly and unobtrusively. We got our app pretty quickly and put our dinner order in by 455. But No Food Ever Came. Alyssa never checked on us, never checked the kitchen. I would literally give this place 0 stars if I could. I came for the honey butter croissants in part (kind of how people go to Red Lobster for the cheddar bay biscuits). When our order of bread came out the croissants were barely dressed. I asked our waiter for extra honey butter, after a long while he brought some out. We were excited because I mean who doesn't love honey butter croissants right? So we drizzled the extra butter over our croissants. I took a bite into the warm croissants only to be supervised by the overwhelming TASTE OF HORSERADISH!!!! Imagine my disgust. I told the waiter and his response was "well that's all we have in bottle right now". No apologies, no solution, just attitude. Apparently Cheddar's "Scratch Made Kitchen" could not make honey butter after receiving my complaint. Went there on a Monday evening. Got seated and drinks. Ordered onion rings they took longer to come than normal. Ordered food and sat for about forty five minutes. Asked to speak with a manager. Got food right before he came. It was cool. Not even warm. Didn't have the sides that we wanted. I can see running out of black beans but how do you run out of corn. My fiancé and I decided to stop in and eat at Cheddars last night in Morgantown, WV. I just want to say it did NOT disappoint! Very friendly environment, clean, beautiful decor (especially the real plants!) and great pricing on the menu! And to top it off, our waitress Taylor was absolutely perfect! She brought us refills, cleared our plates, came back to check on us, the whole nine yards.. perfect service!! And as we were leaving we come to find out it was only her second day!! We were stuck in Morgantown for a while. We looked for good food but only found disappointment. Until we found Cheddars the prices are fair, the food is great. It is very hard to find a time when it isn't packed. Friendly service. We love this place wish there was one in my home town. read more

The food here is alright, nothing to brag about. Pretty basic food like sandwiches and stuff but it's not always put together the right way or the flavors are off or the food doesn't come out right or on time. I've had a couple issues here but it's casual enough for if I want a quick bite. I only had an issue with one server and they were just a little rude and not that friendly. But it didn't ruin the experience too much. I'll still come back here now and again but only when there are no other choices. read more

If this review was based on the hostess, a two or three star would seem appropriate. BUT, excellent service and really good food seem to cover up a lot of, what become insignificant, oversights. All the food; crispy fresh salads, bourbon glazed salmon, steak & shrimp, and the Margaritas were great. The waitress was top-notch. Nice Restaurant! BTW, we ate in the bar. read more

This Cheddars in Morgantown WV is one of the filthiest bar restaurants around. Example: we watched the bartender drop the cork from a wine bottle (on to the bar floor), pick it up and jam it back into the bottle. Just one of the many things that really grossed us out. read more

Cheddars is wonderful. It starts right after you park your car and start walking, you can smell all the food. The interior is beautiful, the food is great. My only complaint is the wait times sometimes, but that's no fault of the restaurant. read more

Three of us at dinner got the chicken Alfredo and all of them were completely cold. The fourth person had a hot sandwich that was cold. The manager came over and said, "would you like them reheated or do you want new ones," as if he was annoyed. We got our food back and it was steaming hot. One word to describe cheddars..FREAKIN AWESOME! Wait that's 2 hehe. As soon as I walked into cheddars I was hit with a wave of just awesome atmosphere. Seated timely, my water came out quick and crisp. The onion rings were like something from a fairy tale, supreme crunch. And the zesty sauce tasted like it was made by David hasselhof himself. Bad experience!! I have dined here plenty of times and never had the bad experience I had last night. I ordered a tito's vodka drink with cranberry juice and lime and the friend I was with ordered a spiked lemonade. My tito's came in the smallest glass, I didn't even know they had. My friend's drink came with just lemonade. When we asked our waiter, he said he will send the manager over because the bartender is notorious for making bad drinks. The manager came over and talked to us and said sorry let me check into it. The manager came back and said no, your drinks were made right. Never offered a thing! Never took anything off the bill or offered new drinks. The lady at the next table came over after the manager left our table and said what was that drink he gave you ( referring to my tito's drink)? She said she over heard everything and could not believe how the manager reacted. Nest our food came and my friend ordered ribs that she could not bite into them because they were so tough. The manager did bring a fresh order (why the first order of ribs were not fresh-I don't know). Bad service all the way around. read more

Usually really good fresh food at a good price from Cheddars. However, we went on Labor Day and they must have been really busy because nothing was cooked right. First they were out of Chicken Pot pie (no big deal). Potatoes in the soup were undercooked. Salad was warm. Ordered a medium steak and it was still cold rare in the middle. The manager brought me out the same steak and it was very well done this time and the veggies were cold. Ended up not eating anything. They did remove the items from the bill that we did not eat. Guess we won't go there on Holidays anymore...I am still a fan of Cheddars though! read more

I was with 2 other ppl, a party of 3, and waited over an hour for lunch!! The "front manager" came out to talk to ppl 45 minutes later. I asked the manager for a free appetizer and a refill. He didn't bring either. We never received a free appetizer. We did receive free lunch, beer and dessert; after I asked for everything. The waiter kept saying they were short staff in the back but we were the first table to come in that area and the last to leave. Obviously the waiter forgot to put our order in. The manager didn't care and I didn't see him with an apron on to pull the slack in the kitchen, I don't care if he is "front manager."!! At least I had great company!! Terrible service tho!! You guys really need to get some new management for the "back." also after waiting all that time for 2 chicken wraps and a salad, there were no fries on the plate!!! Unbelievable!!
