I was pretty disappointed to see the fish tacos and red beans and rice dropped from the menu. Those were my favorites.

This place...where do i start was very excited to go looked very nice. Not even 20 minutes there i ordered chips and queso for my app. There was a piece of DRY GUM HIDDEN IN THE CHIPS. Upon entering a waitress exclaimed "we ran out of utensils! What should we do?!" The manager responded with a shrug. We got seated quickly since the place was half full. The food arrived over an hour after we ordered it. The waiter was very nice and apologetic; he made sure our drinks were always topped off. Unfortunately by the time our food arrived, there still were not enough utensils for us. We stared at our pasta for a couple minutes until 2 sets arrived. We were a group of three. The service provided by Ms. Bird soon the be Mrs. was exceptional. She was one of the best waitresses that we had the pleasure of dealing with during our time in West Virginia. Chedders is my guilty pleasure. The restaurant for starters is unique. It feels elegant and it doesn't look like something that was cheaply thrown together by a chain business. But on the other hand the food is so inexpensive. Along with their full bar what's not to love. The inside interior involves a large scale salt water fish tank with a large unique lateral revolving fan. The staff are all well mannered and well dressed. The food is nothing crazy special but it's well worth the price. If you are a cheap date but d not want to seem like a cheap date, Chedders is the absolute best location to go to. read more

Believe it or not even though it's not a steakhouse they do a really good ribeye and the steamed broccoli is always good

I am from out of state and I really enjoyed my meal here with my two young children and husband. The cheese curds were so tasty, and my kids loved the chips and queso. The potato soup was very good. Not as great as it used to be. Onion rings were cold. Chicken caesar pasta salad was very different. Shaved chicken rather than a chicken breast? Not a fan. Nice restaurant with cool decor. Service was sketchy though. I ordered the southwest salad with no dressing and no cheese and he brought me cheese with no dressing and no corn. This restaurant is clean & nice. There is a large aquarium that separates the bar area from the restaurant. The amazing thing about this restaurant is the great prices! You can get a 1/2lb burger for under $5 served with a side. Also, most dishes are very reasonable like steak & chicken fingers or chicken Alfredo for under $20. The portions are big too! You could definitely share an entree between two people. I'm so glad we found this place! read more

I was in town for a business trip and decided to grab a late lunch before getting on the road back to Pittsburgh. The hostess was very polite and sat me immediately in the dining area near the bar. I'm guessing they were short staffed because she continued to seat people in my server's section after I arrived. My server Katelyn was amazing (even when she had almost 10 tables at one time)! She was very attentive and my order came out fast and correct. My food was fresh and delicious as well. I was very pleased with my experience! Went for lunch with my husband and 2 girls. They got the junior burger with apple yogurt and they loved it!!! Ate everything on their plates!!! I got the grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and green beans, the salmon came on top of a bed of rice... It was AWESOME!!!!! The only complaint was the restaurant was freezing cold and no bread to start. I am just used to having the restaurants give bread to tide you over until the meal comes lol read more

Arrived at the restaurant and was told that outdoor seating was available. Hostess did not direct us to a table nor did she give us silverware or menus. Proceeded to sit outside and wait for a server who never showed up after waiting for approximately 25 minutes. Furthermore, all of the outdoor tables were piled high with leftover food that had not been cleared off for some time. Birds were eating the food right off of the tables. This was by far, the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It was nothing short of negligence from staff and does not present an environment in which anyone would want to return to in the future. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The service and management were awful. We were seated at 6:05 and our order was put into the computer at 6:17. I know this due to the kitchen slip attached to one of my ribs. It took over an hour to get our food. Things happen and we understand that. However our server never came out to let us know the status of our order. We had to find the manager to find out where our food was. Then neither he nor the server ever apologized. They continued to blame the kitchen. We did get a managers discount at the end however. We will not be back. Shame, it was one of my favorite restaurants. read more

This was a horrible experience. We waited well over an hour for our food and when it was finally brought out some of it was burned and had been clearly been sitting out for awhile. One of our meals was supposed to have fries and the waitress kept saying she was bringing them but they never came. I should note that they were not busy at all. Visited during business trip for lunch. Told it would be 15 minutes till seated. We sat on bench and counted 14 empty tables. A waiter over heard our conversation and said it would over run their kitchen. Ordered chips and dip and had to ask for silverware and napkins. Chips and queso was good. I know I give a lot of good reviews, but generally I don't go out of my way to review unless a place is either really amazing, or exceedingly terrible. I was working in Morgantown from July until late December and Cheddar's became one of my favorite spots. I was staying at a hotel the entire time, and going out to eat became almost a chore. I loved this place! I only had poor service one time out of countless times of eating there. The service was far better than the close-by Chilli's and their prices were much, much cheaper. I was actually surprised at how cheap their prices were...The fact that two people can get in and out for under $25 bucks including a tip? Ridiculous! (And I usually tip 20% or more) The food is always pretty fresh - their croissants are amazing,...I love the way they make their onion rings, reminds me of a tiny place out in East, Texas. (Not the typical gross batter-dipped). Be careful though, if you order the onion rings make sure you have at least four people to mow down on them, because it's a HUGE plate. When my boyfriend came to visit for a few weeks, he really enjoyed their catfish. I'd pretty much recommend anything I ate there. If you just want a regular sized burger - order off the kids menu and customize it. Their regular burgers are just too big for me. read more

This place is so hit or miss for me. The last time I was here, it was really good. This time it was not. I've definitely had good experiences and bad ones. This time I got the chicken tortilla soup. I've had it before and loved it, but this time it just wasn't that great. The soup was Luke warm and mostly broth, very little chicken. The tortilla strips in it were weird...stale maybe? It just wasn't good. I also ordered the club sandwich without turkey, when it came it was loaded with turkey and had no bacon. The ham was low quality. I had never had potato bread and I wasn't a fan. The boyfriend got the spagsanga (sp?). He really liked it, I thought it was good too. I like the atmosphere and the prices. We showed up on 12/16/17 to find out our reservation that was made the day before was nonexistant. We waited nearly 30 minutes to get tables. We had 3 tables and 3 servers. Our drinks were rarely replenished. Our appetizers showed up an hour later and our food nearly two hours later and were nearly all wrong and cold(even burgers and fries). I will never eat there again. I was so disappointed with both service and the kitchen. They need to get it together. We will never eat there again or recommend this place to another living soul. read more

One of my favorite spots to eat in Morgantown. I realize it is a chain, but their portion sizes and prices are hard to beat! Almost every time I visit, I order the chicken strips. They are amazing, and their ranch dressing makes the perfect compliment. I usually get a salad as a side, which comes with one of their croissants with honey butter--- legendary!!!!!! Seriously, the stuff dreams are made of. I also get their steamed broccoli as my other side, which is always cooked perfectly with the broccoli tasting fresh and still slightly crisp, and with minced garlic mixed throughout. Yum!!! Their margaritas are amazing as well, and I almost always order one. Another of my favorite entrees is the grilled tilapia with a yummy mango salsa. Their chips and queso are great, as is their spinach dip. Their onion rings are amazing as well- lightly breaded and stacked sky-high. My mother has gotten their spasagna, a brick of spaghetti and sauce, with one half also covered in a creamy sauce. It is delicious as well! I came here when I was celebrating getting a new job, and the waitress recommended I order the top shelf shaker margarita. They deliver the poured margarita to you, with another pour left in the shaker. I have never left here without being happy and full--- a great family place, with a nice casual atmosphere. I overheard the hostess tell one of the servers to just tell people that are complaining that it is shift change "or something". Looks like very poor management to me. read more

The staff is generally nice and the restaurant is clean. The food, however, has gotten worse over time. The grilled chicken has been too salty to eat on several occasions. The queso is not as good as the original recipe. The fries tasted stale and oily. This used to be a good place to eat but over the last year it has really gone downhill. I don't know what happened to this location, but the last few visits have been terrible. The portions have gotten smaller, our food came out cold, and it is insanely overpriced. The saving grace was our waitress who was incredibly kind and attentive, especially regarding my food allergies. We paid 60 bucks (including tip) for a vegetable plate, chicken tender platter, and 3 drinks. Nowhere near worth it! I'd rather go to the grocery store and pick up some nice steaks for that price. It's a chain, located in an area where you have about 10+ other chain restaurants, but being from out of town, this was the only one that I haven't been to before. I couldn't believe how good the prices were. It's mainly comfort food and nothing that extraordinary (again, a chain), but plenty of options for everyone to find something they like. read more

After two terrible customer service experiences at Cheddars and a year later, we decided to give this location one more chance. After all, the first ten experiences were outstanding. Upon entering, we were seated immediately. Drink order taken four min. later and delivered a couple min. thereafter. Our appetizer arrived quickly as well AND when we were low on chips, our server dropped off a plateful without bring asked. ALRIGHT, I think, they're back on their game! Our food was good. Not great.
