Atmosphere is great. Can get busy so customer service is a little slow but to be expected! Get their onion rings!!! It is the best I've ever had!! I love their Mac and Cheese and would highly recommend. I usually get the Dijon mustard chicken and it's always decent, if not fantastic every time. Though the restaurant seemed cleaner than the cheddars in Midwest City, the staff lacked care in handling food allergies. My daughter ordered the Asian cicken salad with no dairy. They left off the cheese and put a container of balsamic vinaigrette on the side, but added a margarine laden piece of bread on top of her wontons. When she opened the container at home, I called the manager to make sure that it was okay to eat. He said it was made with margarine and it was a mistake. She had to throw out the top wonton because even trace amounts of dairy makes her sick. I ordered the shrimp alfredo pasta. It was kind of gloopy and okay, the shrimp had a nice cajun flavor that i like, but I got sick after eating it. Still not feeling great today. I don't know if there was some kind of beef or pork in the sauce or if the shrimp was bad. Either way, it was a long night and I wont return to that location. read more

I have given Cheddars multiple chances and every time I'm disappointed. Their steak is dry and has no flavor. And tonight I went and had barbecue chicken and a half rack of ribs and it was absolutely horrible. Way over cooked and completely dried out. Not even the sides are good. Loaded baked potato was also dry and was just butter and sour cream inside. AND their "sweet tea" was not sweet and tasted like dirty water. Paid $20 to leave hungry and upset. Never. We eat out a lot. We sat at the bar tonight to have drinks and dinner. The mojitos we had tasted like we were sitting on the beach of Galveston. That's not even the start, chips and salsa were the best. The bar staff is one of the top elite teams ever encountered. My fiancé had the red fish and it melted in your mouth. I had the ribeye and shrimp. It was the best steak I have ever eaten they had an amazing chef that night and he/she knocked it out of the park!!!!!! Do NOT order a steak from this restaurant!! I ordered medium well and it came medium rare. Waiter took it back and returned a medium steak. At that point, my friend had almost finished his meal. I told the waiter I didn't want to have it go back again. Please take it away. Manager comes out says he's sorry and puts a menu in front of me and says to order something else (not free of course-we were to pay for it). I told him no thank you. He kept insisting! Suggested I get something to go. I live an hour away and it was almost 100 degrees outside. Food would spoil and I didn't get to enjoy a dinner with my friend. He wouldn't leave us alone. My 1st visit was about a year ago. Ordered the New Orleans Cajun Pasta. It was awesome. Plenty of deep flavors with grilled jalapeno peppers. Today I ordered the same. Not nearly the same as before. Pasta was a bit over cooked. No jalapeno peppers and the flavor profile was lacking. The strawberry ade was delicious though. It's worth another trip, but will try a different dish next time. read more

Absolutely fabulous staff, very attentive my glass was never empty...everything we had was delicious....catfish was plump and flaky, chicken fried chicken d-lish would recommend every time, bacon cheese burger fresh and filling. I had a great time with my family for my birthday here! The staff was friendly and attentive! We ordered queso with ground beef with chips and salsa which was good. I loved the house salad and honey buttered croissant! I had the excellent (even reheated) lemon chicken (shared a piece with fam all loved it too!) with great rice pilaf, amazing baked sweet potato with cinnamon sugar butter! I also enjoyed the grilled shrimp! My family had steak which was seasoned and cooked to perfection no need for steak sauce. The broccoli and cheese was very good as well as the chicken pot pie with puff pastry crust! They have great strawberry lemonade and my mom liked the strawberry tea! Good burger place! Other stuff so far is ehhh. For a not fast-food, but still affordable burger, I think Cheddars is great! Their burger patties are thick and juicy, with a slight char crisp on the outside. However, their other menu options (the ones I've had at least) are okay. The deep fried sandwich is good for one bite and then its just an overload of oil which gets soaked into the bread. But of course that is to be expected with something deep-fried. I believe at one of my meetings, we had ordered from them and I got some kind of honey mustard chicken dish and this dish was just not very good at all. The honey mustard drench the chicken and overpowered it, and ended up making it soggy. Maybe I just need to get a better choices of their other selections. The bar staff not so much when it comes to "go" orders. They let you know they don't have time for you, very poor packaging. They cram stuff into Wal-Mart type sacks tied at the top. Upon walking in we were greated by the manager Who was very rude . after being seated we waited for our drinks while we overheard the same manager telling our waitress she was fat and that she did not like the poor girl. once our waitress took our order the manager then came back out yelling at this girl for a third time using profanity in front of my child , mind you we were here after church! The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a two is because the Montecristo is pretty good, and not a lot of restaurants make it. But we have given this restaurant a try at least five times, and ordered different things every time, and we are just always so amazingly disappointed. The service is terrible, I feel like the kitchen has terrible timing, the managers are far less than helpful (and rude), and the entire restaurant staff, in general, is completely incompetent. It's a real shame, too, because I feel like if they could get this together, then the food would actually be ok. Something I found funny was the amount of servers that stood at the POS system right next to our table, and gossiped about other staff, and their own table guests in earshot of other customers. Extremely tacky, the staff looked like they hated their life, and it seemed that they were more interested in talking than doing their jobs. It took around 4 minutes to even get greeted at our table, despite the amount of servers standing around talking to each other. Food was good, and our server did a nice job. My granddaughter works there so we went by to check it out. The spinach dip was outstanding. However my husband ordered the chicken alfredo and it was very dry and tasteless. It tasted just like very stale pasta with no other flavorings. I ordered the barbecue chicken and I could tell that the chicken had originally been baked and upon ordering to cook dumped it in BBQ sauce the sauce was good but in my mind, that is not how you make barbecue chicken. We take our EuroMerican friends here and all of them have raved about their food and the service. It is cheaper to let them eat here than it is to fix the meal at home. The service has always been rather fair until someone begins telling the waiter how great the food is. Then the service is superb; once a cook came out to explain to one of our guests how one of the dishes had been prepared. My wife goes there more often than I do; what with so many people taking her to lunch. She began praising her "fish taco." "Fish Taco?" It doesn't even sound good. But eventually I was enticed to try one. Oh, such heavenly delight. According to the menu this is prepared from whiting fish. My chicken was light pink in a uncooked raw way. Our waitress was sweet but never came to refill our drinks the whole time even after asking. We came here for my sons 10th birthday today and we won't be back anytime soon. They sent out a burger with cheese on it and when we sent it back instead of cooking a new one they scraped off the cheese. I let the manager know and she didn't seem to care at all. I told her to cancel my order that I didn't want that item at all and she didn't seem to care at all. Then the only offer she made was for me to not pay for the item I cancelled. I used to love Cheddar's. The have amazing food, the Baked Spasagna is fabulous, the taste is like a dance on the tongue. Their Country Fried Steak so so amazing, not the icky processed crap that the majority of restaurants use these days. The Alfredo? speaks for itself in awesomeness. However, the part of this review earning the 1 star is the service. I'm willing to give a restaurant many chances to give me a reason to come back, but they crossed the line this last time and I will NOT be coming back. At least not for a while... (I'm sorry Spasagna, wait for me my love) Sometimes good food is worth enduring not so great service. Not this time. I went with a party of 11 including myself to celebrate my friend's birthday. I understand that a party this large can be difficult to accommodate. Please note that my friend called up in advance to let them know that a large party would be dining with them that night. Anyway, I was the first to get there, so I went to the hostess and informed her of the number and she just looked flat out disgusted and dismayed. She left to prepare the area, and thankfully it didn't take a long time. All was well even through the drink ordering process, but when the drinks were brought one of my friends got the wrong drink (absolutely not even close to what she ordered) and they totally forgot a drink for one of my friends at the table. After fixing this (again, I gave them a chance and justified this in my head by restating to myself the party size), she took the food orders. Insert lots of laughs and chatters between and here comes the food, but only some of the food. 3 of us ordered the same thing and got our food, another 2 dishes were brought and a plate to split one order. So we all decided to be polite and wait for the next wave of orders. We wait 10 minutes and they bring 4 other plates out. Well, what's going on? We still have my fiance at the table without food. So I wait for him to get his food. Not a great idea, we wait another 10 minutes for his food to show up. A total of 20 minutes between plates, and by the time I was able to eat, my food was cold! So as if this wasn't enough, throughout the evening we waited for refills for entirely too long. I was fed up when it came time to pay, and I wont even WASTE your time telling about THAT particular fiasco. I asked to speak to a manager. Before she ran my card. She proceeded to run my card, and then go get the manager. The manager was a royal... errrr... well, we'll say rude guy. He finally very rudely took my check and deducted my fiance's meal, and he came back and sarcastically wished me to have a "fabulous evening." It would be one thing if this was the first time to have terrible service, but the last few times I've been there I have had issues with the drink refills, with the attentiveness, and with the general attitudes. I really do like Cheddar's, especially the Norman location. The food is consistently reliable, and they have obviously taken pains to keep their menu affordable. Looks like a swanky restaurant, and it is for the most part! I used to think that all Cheddars were the same, as I had eaten at the one in Tulsa, which has a more "family" air to it. And although this Cheddars is definitely appropriate for a family, I feel like it caters to adults just as much. I love the soup/salad/sandwich combo which is available any time of the day! It's inexpensive and the potato soup is to DIE for. The best part about this place is the drinks though. I know it's not a traditional bar restaurant, but I love their margaritas and other mixed drinks. They have a full bar, and their quiet, but not too quiet, so it's a perfect place to go have dinner with friends! read more

We bring our very large Special Olympics team here every year, in January. We have a minimum of 30 people, most with special needs. They are so accommodating, always friendly and go above and beyond for us! The food is always perfect and it is very reasonable. Worse service tonight! Felt like the waitress was trying to discourage us from ordering appetizers. She advised us the onion rings took at least 15 minutes to cook. Top notch place! I've loved everything I've tried there except the corn off the cob. I think they put sugar in it. Food is excellent, service is very attentive and the prices are great. The last time I was there, I had a full rack of delicious baby back ribs (made in-house), a side of something and a side of coleslaw and a huge appetizer order of cheese fries and iced tea. All was under $25. The ribs were some of the best I've had and I had leftovers for two more meals. read more

Their food is mediocre at best; nothing is spectacular, although their price is very reasonable. You can get full and buzzed with just $10-$15. Do not go to the bathroom here.
