    Bourbon-Glazed Salmon & Shrimp
    Patrice F.

Came here on a Friday night. We made reservations via the waitlist tab on their website. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes. It wasn't too crowded but you can tell it was picking up. I ordered the bourbon glaze salmon and shrimp with broccoli cheese casserole and a loaded potato. My kids got the chicken tender and cheeseburger kids meal. My husband got the ribs and fried shrimp with a side of fries and corn. All meals were great portion sides. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. It looks like they have great teamwork on busy days to help each other out. You definitely get the best bang for your buck here.

Stopped in with my parents for a small get together. Lots and lots and lots of empty tables and booths and she gives us a 4-top right next to the kitchen entrance. A polite request for something away from the kitchen was made and off to another table/booth we went. Our server was 'Kevin' and he was awesome. On top of our order, refilling drinks without our asking, and checking in from time to time. Fried shrimp was good. Salmon wasn't the best but the bourbon sauce was really good. Key West Chicken and shrimp was warm and almost went back but et' it anyway. Overall a decent visit.

My partnered and I ordered curbside pick up for dinner. The pick up process was quick however part of the order was inaccurate. I ordered two sides to include beans and rice but beans were no where to be found. I also felt like the croissants were good but not fresh compared to a prior order I've had. I do appreciate the portion sizes are pretty good though and the meals are usually tasty.

Cheddar's is hands down my favorite casual restaurant. The service is always friendly and consistent, and the prices are super affordable for the quality and portion sizes you get. Every meal starts off strong with their warm, flaky honey butter croissant; it's free and absolutely delicious. The onion rings are a must order every time, perfectly crispy and stacked high. I've tried a variety of entrees from pastas to steaks to seafood, and I've never been disappointed. And if you're not finishing your meal with the legendary Cookie Monster sundae, you're seriously missing out. It's the perfect sweet ending to a great dining experience.

I really enjoyed eating at Cheddar's in Riverview, Fl. I have made a return appearance at the same location, once for Dinner and another time for lunch. The service was excellent as my waitress made me feel special, with the various food and drink suggestions! As for the painkiller. I only had one! Two would have definitely been more than I could have handled. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint! I only wish we had one close to where I live! Still this will be a favorite when I travel out of town again.

So I've been watching the reviews for this locations because o wasn't to sure if I wanted to try them so instead of dining in we Placed an order online for Togo. We got the Chicken tender family meal with sides of chose red beans and rice and fries. The order also came with their famous honey butter rolls. For the tenders dipping sauce with tried the honey hot I believe it was called anyways well drove up to the pick up area which our order was ready when we got there. Got home and everything smelled good looked fine until we started eating. I had noticed some of the pieces of chicken had a smell different than others and the chicken was very stringy. And the red beans and rice were extremely overcooked not very pleasant and the fries were fine. But the next morning we were all sick to our stomachs except my daughter who fortunately was the only one who didn't eat any of the chicken! The quality of their food was not good at all.

It's surprisingly better than the old Brandon location. I don't even remember seeing the honey butter croissants on their menu, much less getting a complimentary one before the meal. They are flaky, buttery, & delicious! We arrived at a time between lunch and dinner. It's apparently popular because most of the tables were pretty much taken with the exception of the high tops in the bar. We ended up with a half booth table in the bar near the kitchen. It's been 7 years since we've been to Cheddar's. That's about when the Brandon location closed down. I remember it mostly for the stacked onion rings. It took a while to reacquaint ourselves with the menu. We decided to pass on the rings since we had the croissants. By the way, you can get 2 more croissants for $1.99 (if desired). I was pretty much set on getting the Country Fried Chicken. My husband selected the Country Fried Steak. Both are served with 2 sides and Texas toast. I love that the chicken and steak are hand-breaded. They definitely tasted fresh. Especially my husband's fried steak. It was served hot, and tasted even better than the one that we like at Texas Roadhouse. The breading was thankfully not as salty as the latter one. The Broccoli Cheese Casserole was very cheesy. It was good despite not having too much broccoli. The Idaho Mashed Potatoes are kind of bland, but I appreciated having the country gravy on top. I'd probably skip the mashed potatoes and go with a side salad next time. Other than that, the service was very good and our food arrived in a good amount of time. It's located in the same shopping plaza as Target on Bloomingdale in Riverview. They also give military discounts. Yay! We will return. I want to get the Country Fried Steak. It was good to see my husband finally get the better dish, no matter how much it tempted me.

This is my second time dining at Cheddars, not this location the first time but another one. This one just opened and my wife convinced me to give the business at second chance. And I'm glad I did. I had the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and beans and rice. It was so much food and it was delicious. My wife had the grilled salmon with broccoli, carrots and rice and my mother in-law had the sirloin with a half slab of ribs with mash and green beans. We all loved what we ordered and we shared off of each others plates. I liked the ribs so I'll be getting those next time while my wife liked the beans and rice and she said that she'd order that next time. Oh and the bread the provided before our meal was warm croissants with what appeared to be an apple or honey butter. The cost for the three of us was about what my wife and I would spend if it was just the two of us. I strongly recommend this location but pack your patience cause it was a long wait ( 20-30 minutes ) Enjoy!!!

Welcome Back to Brandon-Riverview Area!! It's like an old friend that comes home. Cheddar's delivers great food, service, and an atmosphere that is delightful. Family friendly but I thoroughly enjoyed the bar area for dinner and drinks. The service was swift and the quality of the food was the same as in the past. Great Food and Service.

Of course the croissants are amazing but the burgers have a weird texture that I did not enjoy. Also the salt shaker was dirty and clumped inside the lid so I had to clean it out to use it. Should probably add that to the daily side work. Not the experience I was hoping for.

I don't mind cheddars at all. I have went several times and my food has been good. Sometimes the workers are a hit or miss, but it is good. Remember the lights are a little dim in these restaurants. Food for everyone

Ribs & Shrimp combo with French fries and corn
    Steve H.

Decided on Cheddar's for dinner and hot seated right away. I ordered the fried shrimp and rib combo. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and quite large. The half rack of ribs were absolutely huge and the meat fell off the bone. There was an insane amount of meat on these ribs and they were not overly coated with bbq sauce. It was just enough. The two sides were well seasoned French fries and buttered corn off the cob.

I also really appreciated the glove station they have for when you're going through the buffet. Not having to touch all the utensils after everyone else is definitely something I noticed and thought was a great touch. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast and I would definitely go back again!

Fair warning: this place has two personalities -- a restaurant side and a much louder dance-party side that share the same building. We opted for the restaurant side, which was surprisingly not busy despite the earliest reservation we could get being 7:30pm on a weeknight. The menu blends classic soul food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) with a strong New Orleans Creole influence -- gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood, cornbread. Portions are enormous. We started with the deviled eggs ("D'Evils"), topped with fried chicken bites and lemon pepper dust -- excellent and surprisingly filling for just four halves. We also got the Nolia Clip, a vegan gumbo base loaded with fried shrimp, crabmeat, turkey sausage, and a full catfish filet -- essentially an entree-sized bowl on its own. For entrees, the fried chicken plate ("Let's Stay Together") was a standout -- moist chicken, crispy crust, great mac and cheese and collard greens, though the cornbread muffins were bland and watery-tasting. My jambalaya ("Burning Blues") turned out to be nearly identical in ingredients to the gumbo appetizer we'd already had, just a bit thicker and in a bigger portion -- worth knowing before you order both. We left with a full meal's worth of leftovers and zero room for dessert. Food quality was great across the board (minus the cornbread), and portions are a serious value. Service was the weak point -- slow to seat and slow table-side all night. Good pick if you're after soul food with Creole flair and don't mind a leisurely pace.
