Went at lunch time on a Thursday. Line of waiting customers out the door. Waited 20 minutes which was great considering the crowd. Selena R. was our server and gave great service with a smile. Despite her being so busy in her section she was super attentive , checking on us several times. Food was very good, no complaints at all. Left with full belly and good mood for rest of day. Waited 45 minutes to be sat which would not have been a problem had everyone but us been sat even those walking in the door. Asked for manager, got told we couldn't sit in an area because they had to closed that section. Then, they sat a party larger than ours at that section while we were waiting. Upon leaving, my son and I both witnessed the male host mimicking me getting upset before we were sat at a table. I again asked to talk to management & he refused to even acknowledge what my son and I (separately) witnessed. I've always been a huge Cheddars fan and have eaten at several locations and have been very pleased all but once at the Allen, TX location, but the manager made it right. However of all the locations this Sherman location has always been above and beyond the best. Today on Sunday, November 10, I took my mom for lunch and the food was the most AMAZING its ever been, everything was absolutely perfect, nothing could have been improved upon. And our waitress Brittany R was the BEST waitress that I have ever had at any restaurant. She was very attentive and very friendly and took the best care possible of her guest. Tristen was amazing; I'm somewhat of a heavy drinker and she had my glass of beer (heavy on the root) always full. 2nd horrible experience... SOOOOO. WE decided to go back after a couple months and were the 1st ones to sit at the bar. We ordered apps and entre together, Due to working for @dardensresturant for a short period ,they have an option to hold food because apps typically take less time than entres. So you can time your patrons order correctly. Shortly after, a couple next to us sat down and ordered. After a long wait, the bar started to get full. I asked if the bartender could check on our Appetizer which he did but brought the order for the couple that sat down next to us. Then their food arrived. I asked if he could at least check on the salad. After an even longer wait the manager came by and ask to refill our drink, I asked if she could check on our food, as we have been here for 45min and haven't received an appetizer. We went to Albertson's and purchased our food which we should have done in the 1st place. I try to give money back to the community and our citizens, but my mind has changed about the restaurant industry and I will only support my local Farmers and business' going forward. Oh my goodness the service here was amazing. My daughter and I ordered the coconut shrimp and rib combo to share. The food was cooked perfectly. The complimentary crescent rolls were so fresh and tasted amazing as well. Restaurant was very clean. When I'm in the area I'm definitely stopping here again. read more

Last few times I've been in here on a Monday at lunch it's been dead and the service was sub par. The ribeye usually has a good crust on it so that's why we continue to give it another shot. Service is hit or miss. Went today around 1:00 and ordered the ribeye to split with my boyfriend. Like I said, good crust but I ordered it medium and it came out MR pushing rare but we ate half and took the rest to go to cook up at home. My issue today was the silverware. This is picture is of the THIRD set of silverware we asked for because it was not just unpolished but absolutely disgusting. Especially with covid standards in restaurants being raised. I've been in the industry for 15 years and the industry standard needs to be raised bc this is just not okay. I would never roll that silverware and send it to a guest. read more

Sooo good! Just left this location and we really enjoyed the food and experience. Our waiter Calub was awesome! Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. Attentive and genuinely friendly. The food is actually made from scratch and you can tell, very flavourful and delicious. Had the country fried chicken steak for my main and we shared the croissants and cheese bites for a starter. The croissants are made fresh and are to die for, and the cheese bites were awesome.. and I don't even really like cheese! The country gravy was the best I've tasted so far. Loved it. We came here for Easter Sunday and they did not disappoint! Wait time was 20min (which isn't too bad with it being a holiday). Our server Natalie was great and got everything right with our order. If I'm being totally honest, my expectations were not high lol. But Cheddars definitely exceeded anything j had in mind in any way! I'm new to the area from Los Angeles and it was my first time eating/ordering from here. We ordered online for curbside pickup. It was easy quick and efficient. The customer service was great- everyone was happy and friendly. The food was abundant and flavorful. Everything about the order went well and was great. We got the family bundle- salmon, tenders, rice, fries, corn, croissants, hot honey sauce, and bourbon glaze. The salmon was flaky and flavorful. The tenders were big and juicy in the center with a crispy outer skin/batter. The rice was good and not at all greasy. The fries were great texture even after driving them home. The corn was nice and flavorful and definitely 2x as much as we needed lol. The croissants were pretty good- warm with just the right amount of sweetness. The sauces were both great! And all that was just $35 after tax. Great order/purchase. Oh did I mention we have hella leftovers?! We'll be back! read more

We come here all the time and last night we came to eat got put in Beau's section. We could tell she was slammed with tables she was running around hustling best she could. She put our order in and when it came out mom got a dirty plate with her pot pie and a spoon covered in old chocolate or something. So a different girl brought her a new spoon but no plate. I got salmon with baked potato and my potato had a short black hair in it(and I'm platinum blonde). I asked for a new one took awhile and finally came. We paid for our full tab but no manager came to apologize or anything. We asked for one at the door, he tried to make excuses for all of it instead of accepted the fact his kitchen sent that out. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer for our meals. We received our food through the curbside pickup offered. I noticed a small container on top so I opened it up. It appeared to be a spoonful of spinach dip. I asked the server who brought out our food and she informed me it "went inside the spinach dip that was in the bag". I got home with the food and realized that was the entire "appetizer". Called to ask what was the size of the appetizer as it came with a huge container of chips. I was first told there should be a larger container somewhere. Then later when I never found the "large container", I was told that they recently "decreased the size of the appetizer". We were a bit disappointed in the fact that there wasn't very many options that didn't have bacon grease or pork in them. We spent several minutes inquiring about menu items that didn't appear to have pork in them but actually did. Of course this is our choice of lifestyle, so we don't hold that against the restaurant. However, as people become more and more health conscious, most other chains have aligned with the idea that not everyone wants pork on their forks. The waiter was vegetarian, so he understood our dilemma. I ordered a pasta dish and it was very bland. My wife got the barbecue chicken and enjoyed it and the serving was huge. I had the key west chicken & shrimp and I thought that the bourbon glaze was missing because it usually comes in a separate small dish, and when I questioned the server, he explained that they had already poured it on, but he sweetly insisted on bringing me more. Dinner tonight was with mixed reviews. Food was just average. Mine was ok had the chicken fried steak way over breaded and one of the sides was missing. My wife's dinner was also missing the shrimp. The most expensive part of order. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and it was ok but never got the shrimp sauce. The waiter could not even remember what we were drinking drinks always were empty for a while before got a refill. My husband and I ate at Cheddar's late last night. It was our first time and we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed! We arrived around 9 pm and the hostess was no where to be seen. We asked if they were closed or closing soon, we always try to be respectful of the restaurant workers time, but she happily sat us. (They close at 10pm) Once we were seated, it took around 7 minutes for our waitress to introduce herself. We should have seen the red flag then and left, but we were hungry. My husband mentioned that we had never eaten here before and asked for recommendations. Our waitress cheerfully recommended ribs, among others. She said that the ribs were better than Rib Crib. He ordered them and I ordered the crispy chicken salad. For drinks, I asked for water and beer for my husband. Again, we waited.... My water came 5 minutes later and the beer another 5 minutes later. Dear readers of my review- by now you may be thinking that I'm being too harsh. "Maybe the restaurant was crowded." NOPE! There were only a small handful of people there. Back to my review.....from the time that we ordered until our food arrived was 45 minutes!!! Sadly, the food was disappointing as well as the service. My salad was okay, simple, nothing special. My poor husband's dinner was AWFUL! He said they were the worst ribs he's ever eaten! Fatty, dry, blech! That sound you just heard was me gagging. I asked for extra napkins, he is eating ribs, remember? They never came. During our dreadful dinner, I watched the other patrons also get frustrated. I wanted to try something new so I decided to come here I ordered chicken fried steak since I haven't had it in a while, and while it wasn't the worst one I've ever had it wasn't the best either. The sides were okay as well, but again all I can say is they weren't the worst or the best. What really upsets me is my server wasn't around very much, and in particular I didn't get silverware or a napkin before I had to physically get up and ask for it. I'm not someone who's stuck up and thinks, "How dare they make me get up and ask for something", etc etc etc, but I really shouldn't have to ask for basic items when I go out to eat.
