I absolutely adore Sofi, I love that she is there all the time, she is so sweet and hospitable. I feel like I am coming into her home when I go to Sofi'z Kitchen & Bar. She is incredibly thorough in explaining menu items. The food is incredible, I have had their specials during holidays (Valentines Day), I have also had their menu items (lamb palak & goat curry, with the naan). I will absolutely be coming back to try more of their menu. And let me add, the decor is such a vibe. Thank you Sofi!

I will not go to Chico without visiting Sofi'z. Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. There isn't a single item on the menu that isn't anything short of phenomenal. When you come in, you are welcomed with warm arms into what feels like Sofi's home. You are treated like family or a dear friend and get to enjoy the best of the best food. 1000/10, always recommend.

We visited Sofi'z Kitchen for lunch after searching for a restaurant that had vegetarian options for my parents. How delighted we were with the entire experience! Not only were there many options on the menu to choose from, every dish was delicious. Sofi served us herself and we felt like she had prepared lunch just for us. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We can hardly wait to visit Sofi'z new larger location when it opens later this summer. We have found our new favorite restaurant in Chico and look forward to returning often.

You have to come and see the interior of this place it is absolutely adorable. Miss Sophie, the owner is an absolute delight. We loved chatting with her. We ordered the Lamb Shank, Chicken Tali, and the Goat Biryani and everything was amazing!! Please come and say hi to Sofie and grab a bite.

What can I say? Outstanding. Love this place. It is beautiful and delicious. . We got shrimp, char grilled chicken wings, butter chicken and saag. We got sides of tamarind sauce, cilantro sauces and plum sauce, which are all made in house. The sauces were exceptional, and is worth driving out to Chico to get a taste of these sauces. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken, butter chicken and saag are all made in a Pakistani tradition. So flavorful and different from any other restaurant in the Chico area! . The restaurant is quite beautiful. One thing I adore is that each table has a purse stool that looks like a foot stool. Yes, your purse has its own chair! You don't have to put your purse on the floor nor table top. I have only experienced this purse luxury once at a very expensive 5-star restaurant in NYC. This delightful restaurant experience feels like a luxury 5-star NYC restaurant, but at Chico location and prices. . Sofia is the owner of Sofi'z and she is the restaurant host and chef you want every time you dine out. Sofia is friendly and looking out for your every dining need. Sofia has designed and decorated a lovely restaurant that fits her style. I also suggest women to go check out the ladies room, which makes you feel like a million bucks. I won't give away the beauty of the bathroom, and you will have to go wash your hands for yourself. It is delightful! . I can't wait for my next trip to Chico and dine at Sofi'z again.

My husband enjoyed a wonderful meal last night to celebrate our anniversary. Sofie and her crew are exceptionally hospitable. We feel as if we are dining with an old friend. Again our curry dishes were so tasty. But we also tried a new (to us) appetizer that we highly recommend. The Gai Gabaa are crispy hollow bread spheres which you fill with a chick pea and onions etc. type relish and dip in a lovely sauce before eating. We loved them. Sorry my picture doesn't do them more justice - we already ate several before this picture was taken!

The food was average given the prices. You're probably paying for the girl's tea party vibe.

Drinks were fun and fresh Staff attentive and really made us feel welcome Vibe - LOVE IT! The booths are amazing and I love that it was the towne lounge so there's lots of history! Food - the lobster lasagna was delicious. Prime rib cooked on point and loved the sides, they were a little small but the meat made up for it! The duck, it had good flavor but wasn't our favorite good sides though!! 2nd time there.... Staff seemed a little stressed and not as friendly VIBE - LOVED IT! The music started right when we got there and it was perfect for our dinner date. Food - kinda made me sad. The halibut was cooked well but over salted and when it was plated it was a little rough looking. The lamb - tough and did not enjoy it, the rice was bland but the veggies were on point! The others had lobster lasagna and enjoyed and the prime rib and it was just so so that night. drinks: Espresso martini was tasty but served in an odd glass!! Wine was nice and of course when you get anything on the rocks you know what you are in for. Sweets: The Cassata (if I spelled that right) sounded amazing but left us unimpressed. The apple tart had great flavor and was warm which was a nice touch! Overall the 1st visit would have had 5 stars but the 2nd is really a 3 stars so I went with 4. I will try going back because I really want them to do good and enjoy the atmosphere there!!!

I especially loved the curly cheese fries, and the fried chicken sandwich was good too. The place is steeped in history. I'm not really a bar person and the energy isn't quite my vibe, but there's a lot to appreciate--especially the wild ceilings packed with random items. It's unique and full of character, even if it isn't perfectly aligned with my usual preferences. My husband, a local who grew up in Butte County, shared some great stories about his Chico State days, back when this was still a quieter town of wealthy families with unpaved roads. Those little pieces of local history made the visit even more interesting. A solid, character-filled stop if you enjoy the Bar vibe, you're hungry after a hike and open to a place with real personality.

Loads of TVs with a variety of sports events playing. We ordered at the counter and then sat down at a table. We only waited about 15 minutes to get our food. My son and I ordered the Great Bacon Burger and specialized it to our liking. I ordered the side salad and he got curly fries. His roommate ordered the Near Burger with curly fries. When we got our food, the boys' burgers were not the way they had ordered them (one had cheese and the other had tomatoes). And it wasn't clear was whose was whose. My side salad was basic basic fare. I should have ordered the curly fries. I probably won't be back, but it was fun to visit the iconic Chico restaurant.
