[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute Italian restaurant with great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was extremely friendly . Downfall was the food . There were 3 of us and 2 out of 3 orders arrived incorrect . They did remake orders quickly .all 3 of us had stomach issues that night and into the morning . Not fun .

It was difficult to find a menu online. Food is okay. Yelp doesnt allow for a simple review they want it drawn out to just post a quick menu picture so I am just writing.

A gem for Chico's culinary scene! I've been coming here for many years now. This restaurant never fails to impress me. They offer sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas and much, much more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is soothing for me. It's dim when you walk in, but there is ample lighting at your table. The restaurant is never too noisy, even when it's busy inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Back to the food. I love their sandwiches, especially their Chicken Pisa and their Pastrami. Delicious! They provide you with a solid-sized sandwich cut in 2 and include a pickle, some Italian peppers and a couple olives. I also like their salads. People don't like beets, but I love them, and they really enhance a salad for me. I know that pizza can be ordered anywhere these days, but try their pizza too. It's also delicious! They have a wonderful selection of pastas. I need to try those someday! Stop by here when you have the chance.

Hot Pastrami, It was only half. I couldn't wait to bite into it

Everything was delightful and the food was delicious. But I really wanted to take a moment and show appreciation for our wonderful server named Zinnia. She is absolutely amazing. She is so hardworking, patient, and so sweet. She has a wonderful demeanor and you can tell she is just an all sound beautiful person. I truly hope she gets all the praise that she deserves! Thank you for everything!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had breakfast here and asked to eat outside. Was a beautiful day and we stayed shaded as the temps rose toward mid day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. Our server Britney seated us quickly and was very friendly and attentive throughout. I ordered the chicken fried chicken breakfast and it was outstanding! The toasted, buttered pieces sourdough baguette were also yummy. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in 25 years! (Shout out to Lisa Lawson - Chico State Alum)

It was pretty darned good! I thought I would be getting cheddar chive biscuits, but really it was biscuits with chives dry on top and cheddar melted over that. It was still good, though. And the gravy was very flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I really wanted to try the French toast because it sounded fabulous. But it didn't come with eggs or meat. I wish there were an option for a smaller version of the sweet dishes so you can get both! The staff members were friendly and the restaurant was clean. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot!

We started with drinks I got a chai latte and my friend got the watermelon refresher, both enjoyable. Next time I'll get it without the sprinkled cinnamon on top. I got the roasted potatoes with carnitas and eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium which is my favorite. The potatoes were beautifully roasted while soft on the inside. The pico de gallo also seemed fresh and flavorful. My friend got the chicken and waffles and felt the chicken was well seasoned and crunchy while still tender. We shared the bam bam waffle, it was very sweet, the black berry sauce was a good tart taste to balance out all the sugar. I will say that although the food was delicious and fresh, the price was a little higher than expected. An extra side of syrup was $2 more. A side of eggs(2) was $5. I shared the receipt. All and all I'm glad we stopped here on our way back to Sacramento. Great food.

The food is just nothing to write home about - I could make it myself without much effort, for a much lower price, and just better. It used to be worth it to come in every now and then because their prices were so low, but just like everywhere else now, the prices are high and not worth it. A rave: I got food poisoning recently, NOT at Morning Thunder, but they were a contender. When I called to let them know, they handled it extremely well. They were surprised but said they would look closely at everything to make sure everything was safe and sanitary. (And yes, I did call to let them know when I confirmed it was not them.)

The outside seating is plentiful and groups of all types were represented: Mixed families, couples, friend groups, young, old, and in between. It's a friendly place with a lovely menu that has something for everyone. The names of the dishes were a blast from the past and I found that humorous and homey. Herb Caen was a regular columnist for the SF Chronicle who coined the term Beatnik back in the 50's, and there is an homage to him on the menu. Bob Denver and Sinatra also made the cut. I watched as a man walked through the patio greeting and being greeted by employees and patrons alike. The atmosphere is one of a friendly neighborhood casual family-friendly restaurant and I LOVED it. I placed our order and was given a number for the table. The food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. We weren't counting and the company was all we needed at the time. Once the food came, the waitress was able to get everything extra that we requested including the receipt I forgot to get and even though I thought they wouldn't be able to print it out, they did. The service was top notch, friendly, and smiling. When I left the tip, under my usual 20% no less, (due to lack of small bills, my bad), she smiled ear to ear and thanked me like it was her first tip. When you go, please tip well. The reaction is worth every cent of the tip. Food: we bought three meals, a lunch to go and two breakfasts for there. I had the "Sinatra your way" which is two eggs how you like them, toast, and potatoes. He had a veggie omelette, which he seemed to like a lot. Neither of us could finish our potatoes. They are fantastic rustic breakfast potatoes with peppers and other items sautéed together. The eggs had paprika and/or a pepper on them. Just enough kick to be interesting, not enough to push them away. I enjoyed my breakfast thoroughly. The only meh item was the jelly. Smuckers isn't high quality. I expected something with cane sugar as opposed to HFCS with the vibe of the place. Still not enough to lose a star. Definitely going back there.

I scoured the menu and was excited to find so many hash choices. I was moved by the Irish Burrito, but ordered Linda's omelette; while my daughter went with the eggs Benedict. In a town that takes its breakfast seriously, and where I've probably worked my way through more menus and reviews than I should admit, this one quietly climbed right to the top of my list. My omelette was exactly what you want when you order one. Fluffy without being dry, full of flavor without trying too hard, and cooked like someone in the kitchen actually cares about eggs. The ingredients were balanced and fresh, not just thrown together as filler. The hollandaise sauce was original, I couldn't find a lemon, cheese or any other overwhelming base, it stood out. The hash was perfect. My daughter's eggs Benedict looked like a postcard version of what that dish should be. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise that didn't feel heavy, and ham that actually tasted like ham instead of just salt delivery. One of those plates where you steal a bite "just to try it" and immediately understand the decision. The real surprise for me was the potato pancake I picked instead of the usual hashbrowns. Light, airy inside, crispy outside, and seasoned just right. Honestly one of the better breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere. If potatoes had a hall of fame, this one would at least get a nomination. The place itself has a warm, comfortable feel. Wood tones, rooster themes everywhere, a relaxed local energy where people look like regulars and first-timers feel welcome anyway. Service was friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. In a city full of strong breakfast spots, this might actually be my current favorite. That's not something I say lightly.
