If you live in College Station, consider yourself lucky to have several Chef Cao's in your town. I am not an expert on Chinese cuisine, but I have lived in China and eaten in hundreds of Chinese restaurants and Chef Cao's is top tier. With very fresh ingredients, authentic recipes that stand out from the norm and very fair prices, I can't recommend these restaurants more highly. read more

Great food. Ordered the general tso's chicken with lo mein, sesame chicken with lo mein, and sesame chicken with fried rice. Both chicken dishes were amazing! Only critique is the rice was not flavorful enough, lacked pan fry flavor but still good. Can't beat a lunch special for under $10! read more

I only give this a 4 has the orange chicken wasn't that great BUT everything else was so yum! Best surprise of our order was the shrimp, they use REAL shrimp not the little baby ones! Could have used more of it but nonetheless it was so good! read more

My cashew chicken was undercooked, at least the vegetables. Carrots were like they had just been sliced. The sauce had the consistency of colored water. The whole thing was almost tasteless. The waitress was extremely nice and efficient. Parking was scarce. There were only six spaces available ; three for pick-up and three for handicapped. I parked in the pickup space even though I was dining inside. read more

I've only had take out food from Chef Cao's a couple times now. But I felt both times prices were too high for what I got. Food was decent but not bursting with flavor. I've believe I got the orange chicken the first time and mongolian beef the next. The orange chicken just didn't see fresh and the Mongolian beef quality wasn't great. Some gristle and chewy parts. Orange chicken had more breading than chicken it seemed. I still ate them all so it wasn't horrible, just ok. I'll try them again someday but just not yet. I hope they improve! read more

I've ate here for about half a year and I never really had any big problems outside of small wrong food orders and things of that nature. But recently they drew the last straw when I found a roach in my food. Thankfully the fact that my order had been messed up many times before I checked my food prior to leaving the parking lot. Not much else to say. Just something to consider before eating here. read more

Wouldn't go back after I went to pick my food and was rudely rushed by an employee all because I was picking my food up and apparently was supposed to have gloves on beforehand. I understand there's a virus going around but wow they should really handle this better if they're gonna keep the restaurant open. I'm not satisfied with how I was treated don't think I'll be back anytime soon. If I could do no stars I would. read more

After trying other Chinese places in town, Chef Cao is definitely the best. Their prices are reasonable and no weird tasting additives. I like their Singapore fried noodles, wide noodles with beef and steamed spicy fish (with hot sauce on the side). read more

My experience? Simply awful! Maybe they had a bad day but for me it was the worst Chinese I've ever had...honestly. Firstly if took a full hour to arrive. My soda was a fountain drink which was flat. My egg rolls were cold. No napkins. The mushroom chicken was very odd looking...as if was frozen then heated up. I was really looking forward to my Kung Pao beef & shrimp but they sent the wrong then. Instead I got tofu and I absolutely cannot stand the texture. But after spending $17 I am stuck with it. I just know that I will neeeeever eat there again. read more
