Burrito - but opened up in a bowl

This is pretty much a hole in the wall kinda place. We chanced upon this during our trip to Palm Springs. This is one of those places which proves that the vegetarian food if done right beats any meat dishes anyday! I ordered the Hippie burger, it was just fantastic. The bread had a nice crunch, the hummus, the veggies, seitan everything just melted in the mouth. I couldn't resist the 2nd half I was hoping to save. They had a special dish, burrito, but they were kind to accommodate and do it without the tortilla. The Agua Fresca was muaah!! You order at the cahsier and walk to the next door where there is another seating area where our food was brought to us.

I'm obsessed with Chef Tanya's Kitchen and the vibe in here! This is my perfect hangout spot! If you want to escape to a vegan oasis, just read your book alone for a while with a warm soup, get some work done with a refreshing agua fresca, or catch up with a friend over some vegan ice cream, this is the place! The staff here was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I stepped in, great vibes! There's cute and fun tchotchkes all over to browse and shop, as well as the pre packaged food and desserts. I loved how open the space was and how much seating was available. I opted for the special, which pulls from their popular Chicken Chupacabra burger, in taco form instead, and comes with pozole and a melon mango agua fresca. I really enjoyed all three parts of this meal, it tasted flavorful but light, unlike typical restaurant food, and I especially enjoyed their vegan protein, which is unlike any other I've had. The melon mango agua fresca also really hit the spot for me, I was surprised at how much I liked the melon flavor, it was a very refreshing blend! I will definitely be back here, the food was pro level but had a homemade feel to it that just warmed my soul. The parking situation was so easy and plentiful, and I appreciated their clean bathroom as well. I highly recommend paying these guys a visit!

Chef Tanya was featured at the BNP Paribas Open, and since this was the closest location, I thought it was worth leaving a review. I ordered the burrito and the chicken sando. Everyone knows that event food can be pretty pricey, so for about $25, you get a vegan dish. I'm glad there was a vegan option at the open, although I'm not vegan, I did celebrate Lent and avoid meat on Fridays. The pickled veggies needed a bit more work, but overall, the sando and the burrito were pretty solid! Great service!

My first time at Chef Tanya's Kitchen was a real pleasure. This location is in Palm Desert off El Paseo. They have a shady patio as you enter. The interior is spacious with a modern desert relaxed vibe. One area offers Vegan ice cream confections and dessert options. The center area is a dining space with gourmet vegan options offered for take home. Things like Vegan cheeses and spreads, Pickles, and cashew cream cheese. The third area is where you place your order. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Vegan Chili. It is made with Seitan. The seasoning was very good. It had crispy tortilla strips on top and vegan cheese in it. I really liked it. I will return to try more of their innovative items.

A friend introduced me to Chef Tanya's Kitchen in Palm Spring during our visit last Thursday. Humbled to find this gem in the desserts. Plus super cooled dining area to be in. Food and drinks were delicious. Superb service. Well thought of products offered, merch, and the decorations reflected love of nature, simplicity and all its elements

Super cute ambient, as soon as you walk in it is a breath of fresh air. Cute hand made items decorate inside, from snacks, drinks, desserts as well as books and home goods, it is a fun experience. The staff greets you with a smile and is always happy to accommodate within reason their menu. This is a great spot for vegans and non vegans alike, everything is delicious and fresh.

Bahn Mi or Bomb Mi! This was such a flavorful and fresh sandwich!

Really grateful I found this restaurant in the desert! Everything I tried was so flavorful.

Chef Tanyas in Palm Springs is my go to for lunch and dinner. Went there this Thanksgiving, I happen to see this sign which made me smile!

Cease salad and today's drink special.

As always, excellent food and service. Today I had the taco salad and the drink special of the day. Besides the Guadalajara burger the taco salad is one of my favorites. Plenty of flavor with a nice balance of ingredients.

Unlike so many other parts of trips out here - the oppressive heat, dodging careening buggies driven by seemingly lost and possibly inebriated golfers, and the discovery of sand in eyes / nose / shoes / liver - it's a tradition that sits very well with me. I'd even go as far as saying that the food here makes all of the above worthwhile. The restaurant has a car park to the rear and limited street parking in front. The interior has a lovely ambiance, quietly refined by subtle lighting and a gentle arboreal theme. I've seen it busy and our party has also had the place to ourselves on late visits, but I'd definitely recommend a reservation just in case especially with a larger party. The staff provide attentive and genuinely caring service, and the portion sizes are substantial and easily justify the more-than-reasonable cost. The food itself though is the reason this place is always a highlight reel spot for me. Every dish is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. My personal go-to is the perfectly seasoned and healthy Harvest Salad, usually with an added protein (the blackened chicken adds a real flavor kick and the variety in texture that I love in great food). Fortunately my partner happily defaults to the opulent and delightful Lobster Lasagna, as I'd be loath to miss out on a bite or three of that too. Appetizer-wise, I'm yet to regret any soup-of-the-day choice. The Zucchini last night was... well... yep, perfect is no overstatement. Sweet Basil is an absolute gem, and a must-visit for any visitor here. The only even remotely negative things I can think to mention is to be aware of the rather early closing time for at least part of the year.

We had the Grilled Portabello Mushroom topped with melted Gruyère, roasted tomatoes, garlic aioli. Very yummy that melted on top. The service was pleasant and attentive.

Their thinly sliced and seasoned seitan was perfect, as was the accompanying sauces and toasted bread. I'd order this on repeat if I lived nearby. I was surprised by how great the potato salad was. It had the perfect mayo/mustard balance, which is extremely difficult to find. I need a gallon of this. The key lime parfait was ok. I expected more (in terms of flavor, not quantity), but it was not bad. I've just had much better so I wouldn't order it again. I'd be willing to try a different dessert next time. It was gluten free so that's a plus! There were many other things on the menu that caught my eye, but I only have one tummy. The chupacabra sandwich was good, the menu said that the 'chicken' is thinly sliced, I didn't realize just how thin it is. I think I would have preferred if it were slightly thicker and less cabbage.
