The Chef's restaurant has been around since 1923 and this was our first but definitely not our last experience. We dined as a 4 on Thursday evening about 6pm. This casual place was busy but they found us seating right away. Servers were friendly and attentive. The menu is sure to please any palate and hunger level. They are known for their Spaghetti Parmigiano and other entrees named after athletes with portions sure to be enjoyed long after. We had minestrone soup, two spaghetti parms, chicken frances and meatball and sausage parmigiano. Everything was hot, delicious and plentiful. The bread basket was soft and delicious with seasoned oil. No room for dessert but plenty of leftovers. I suggest you not eat for a few days before, sit down, bib up and Enjoy!

I ordered takeout for lunch. Chef is very convenient. They have to drive up window you pull up to and pick up your order. Eggplant Parmesan is one of my favorites and it comes with a side of pasta which is either spaghetti or I usually ask for penne. Plus I added two meatballs, which were very tasty. I'll definitely do it again person the window was very friendly. I'd recommend it.

Yummy! Chef's never disappoints! We went with our neighbors and friends and had a wonderful meal and stellar service. Chicken cacciatore was a big hit, spaghetti parm is always a yummy choice and I had the chicken and veggies which was mouth watering. Recommend always!

You better come hungry because the portions are huge! I recommend making a reservation because it was pretty busy on a Friday night. I came for dinner with a few girl friends. I ordered the eggplant parm with spaghetti and it was delicious. A little bland but I just added some salt and pepper. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were doing okay multiple times during our dine-in experience. The desserts all looked delicious at the end. She brought out a platter so we were able to see everything before we picked. I opted for the cannoli and it was a great sweet treat once I got home.

This is one of the best Italian places in town. The food is fantastic the bread to start with was very soft and fluffy with great oil. I had the fettuccine Alfredo that was so creamy and fresh. I have been there many times though. The pesto and Baked Parm are one of my favorites. I ended with a cannoli that was good but needed some chocolate chips. They had a lot of vegetarians options as well. The ambiance was great but you will need a reservation. It is very wheelchair accessible as I know because someone in my party has a wheelchair and they got in fine. The service was great with the place being full but still good service.

Okay, this place is a must. Is it authentic Italian food? No. Is it anything particularly groundbreaking? Also no. But the signature dish is the spaghetti parm and it is exactly what it sounds like. Red sauce, butter, and spaghetti topped with an ungodly amount of cheese and broiled. It was so fun, and I loved it. The restaurant is kitschy in a charming way, and the walls are lined with photos of celebrities holding a jar of Chef's sauce. The restaurant has been around for 100 years and it felt historical. I would definitely recommend anyone traveling through Buffalo to try it, as long as they aren't lactose intolerant.

Chicken Parm, Pasta, not very good Stuffed Hot Peppers, Garlic Bread, Italian Bread and extra Sauce.

I was at an event in a private dinning room. I decided to place a takout order for Chicken Parm and Stuffed Banana Prppers. The order came with a side of tomato sauce, Italian bread and garlic bread. The Chicken Parm was good and so was the Pasta and the Sauce but I didn't care for the Stuffed Hot Peppers. The peppers were spicy like they should be but they were under cooked and the filling was some kind of watery, flavorless, creamy thick sauce instead of a meat or bread stuffing, but the melted cheese on top tasted good. They need to learn how to make traditional Western New York Stuffed Hot Peppers. I would order the Chicken Parm again but not the disappointing Stuffed Hot Peppers.

I can't believe I've never left a review here before because I absolutely LOVE Chef's. I've been coming to Chef's for years with my family for birthday dinners, celebrations, and just because it's that great here for dinner. You get such a large portion every time you come that I always end up having enough to bring home for lunch the next day which is awesome. I love the pesto pasta and the spaghetti parm is to die for! It is sooo buttery and cheesy. It is the best spaghetti parm I've ever had. You always get bread and butter with oil to start which is nice to hold yourself over before your meal comes. The sherbet is also a great choice for dessert! It's such a cool space because there have been so many celebrities to come here and get their picture taken to hang up on the wall. We always have great service and things come out quickly. I highly highly highly recommend Chef's!

There might be higher-end Italian restaurants in Buffalo, but at the end of the day the best is at Chefs! If it's cutlets, meatball sandwiches or specialties like spaghetti Parmesan, it is a family go to for everyone in Buffalo!!!

My brother and his girlfriend treated my wife and I to a dinner out at Chef's. It was my wife's and my first time there and we loved it! My wife comes from a very Italian family and it made her feel at home. The food was delicious. I had the chicken parm with spaghetti parm on the side and couldn't finish it all, so it made for a great lunch at work the next day. We loved all the celebrity photos on the walls. I recommend making reservations. They aren't required, but we reserved a spot ahead of time and we were seated within a couple minutes. Others walking in had a wait time of 30-40 minutes. We can't wait to dine here again!

We stopped at one of our favorite restaurants. I ordered their special of $30.. I selected the large spaghetti parm which came with soup or salad and 2 Cannolis. Delicious! My wife had a large order of boneless Chicken Cacciatore with a side of spaghetti. Service was great. Same old same old with the decor.

We were in town attending a large national conference for families affected by their condition, and many conference attendees were also staying at the hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be about 80% empty. Our children mentioned to the waitress that they were hungry and tired, and the first response we received was, "Do you have a reservation?" She explained that they couldn't seat us because they were expecting a large party. Instead of being seated at a regular table, we were directed to the bar area, where the bartender kindly took care of us despite the fact that our group included two minors. We stayed for over an hour, and during that time, the large party never arrived. Meanwhile, we watched other guests without reservations get seated at tables without any apparent issue. The experience left us feeling singled out and, ultimately, discriminated against. Whether that was the intention or not, it reflected a disappointing lack of empathy and inclusion--especially considering that so many families with children with disabilities were staying at the hotel for the conference. I'm giving Bella Ciao three stars because the food was decent, the portions were generous, and the bartender provided good service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated upon arrival overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

On the menu for this visit: Panzanella Salad, a half-pepperoni/half-sausage pizza, and Affogato. The Panzanella was beautiful in presentation and tasted just as good. Firm, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, crostini, and dressing that all complemented each other perfectly. Refreshing and delish! The Affogato...AffoMazing!! I haven't been to Italy in a little while, but this pizza was freaking close, if not spot-on, when it comes to authenticity! Brick-oven baked with a light crust, chunky real tomato sauce (forgot to ask if it was home-made), just the right amount of cheese, and REAL pepperoni and sausage. And did I mention...very little grease?! The taste was light, fresh, and not overly filling, just right! Overall, Forno Napoli was a fantastic choice! I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. You are paying for the quality of the food, and it is worth it.
