This was my first sit down meal in New Mexico. Coming from LA, I had pretty high expectations which this spot absolutely delivered on. The simplicity of the presentation was beautiful. And the ambiance so calming yet vibrant in color and highly accessible - with high dining tables affording wall outlet access and various normal 4-6 top tables. The employees were very kind, most notably one employee who as she was walking out the door on her break smiled at me the most genuine of smiles before giving me questioning thumbs up. I am thoroughly impressed and would certainly come back. Great job guys!

Everything about this place is average from the food to the service to the atmosphere. I think the quantity and variety that you get is lacking for the amount you pay. The bowls themselves are pretty bland as they only contain one base, one protein, and one topping. Even any other style restaurant would let you have multiple toppings for the same price you pay here. I will say that I really do enjoy their 505 Fries. These are delicious and the chicken Shawarma is a great addition on top. Atmosphere is OK where everything is clean, but overall it seems a little busy and crowded in terms of the seating arrangement. Service is fine. Nothing exceptional, nothing bad.

We came here after the gym after many times of passing by and saying we wanted to try it. The place was clean and spacious and right away the staff was friendly and let us know that if we had any questions to let them know. We went with Plate 2 which comes with two meats and two sides. We chose the Gyro meet which was delicious and flavorful and the chicken shawarma. The plate had great portions of the meat and came with rice that was cooked to perfection. We also got two sides. I loved the Shirazi salad and the Mast o Khiar a minty cucumber yogurt that went perfectly with the pita bread and gyro meat. In addition to this we got the flavorful 505 loaded fries which are a must get! The fries meat and cheese with the seasoning are the best! We loved the baklava cheesecake paired our Ruby Crush drink! It was a great meal and the amount of food on the plate with for the price is amazing!

Chello Grill is officially my new go-to for fresh, healthy eats that don't sacrifice flavor. Everything on the menu feels clean and satisfying, but the hummus? Total game changer. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned I could've eaten it by the spoonful. I love that they offer healthy options that actually taste amazing nothing bland or boring here. Whether you're trying to eat lighter or just love Mediterranean inspired flavors, this spot is a win. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.

The service was great and the employees were super friendly. When they found out it was our first time, they made sure to give us some samples to try along with what we ordered. The food was cooked fresh to order. I was excited to see if gluten free pita option, but disappointed to see it was basically a gluten-free tortilla. It wasn't bad, just didn't really hit the pita spot, but enjoyed the food overall.

I've driven by this spot a few times. Stopped in finally, and shouldn't have waited to go!! I ordered the Traditional Gyro and a small Ghormeh Sabzi (I got the last of what they had, sorry everyone else!!) My goodness both were awesome!!! The gyro was huge, so come hungry!! Staff was amazing, so nice and chipper. Atmosphere is good, music up loud makes people talk louder, but the smell is incredible, so who cares about noise. Great spot will be back, especially for the Ghormeh Sabzi!!

Another beautiful morning in central New Mexico and an opportunity to re-visit where the boys (and one girl) from the VA Creative Writing Group gathered for lunch one fine Thursday morning. The Chello Grill, featuring tasty Mediterranean food, a friendly staff, and a clean interesting interior, was our choice one day and we really enjoyed the experience. Just click on the following YouTube link to see why you too will never regret. https://youtu.be/lrCtvqYU26U?si=L9BXVxdYXHTDYPmK

This was my first time every trying Mediterranean food and OMG I was blown away. Walking in the atmosphere is very calming. And when I went up to order I asked for recommendations and what some of the food was (I didn't understand all the food on the menu) and The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and explained the dish I was interested in. I got the Gyro bowl with rice and some chopped veggies. I enjoyed every bite! 10/10 will be coming back very soon.

As a Persian from Dallas, I wanted to try out Persian food in a different state. I loved my food at Chello Grill! Sorry for no food pics, the food was too good for me to stop and take pics. Maybe next time lol. The ladies that helped serve and make our food were so nice and accommodating. I ordered the chicken kebab for myself and my daughter. I was a bit sad I was a couple days short of getting the koobideh but the chicken kebabs were great. I also ordered two sides; yogurt with cucumbers and tomato/cucumber salad. Both were tasty as well! Food took a bit to arrive however it's made fresh to order so I definitely did not mind the wait. If you find yourself waiting make sure you get a cup of their lime/lemon infused water. Very refreshing! Great food, great spot, and very sweet workers!

The hubby ordered the chicken breast kabob with south of the border chicken. I got the boneless lamb kabob. With our orders came a surprise Kurdish soup with lentils, fideos, and Kurdish spices. First, the bread and soups were simple yet familiar, powerful, and delicious. The lamb was tender, well seasoned, and delightful. Now, the south of the border chicken breast was an amazing surprise; it was juicy, tender, a bit spicy, and absolutely perfect. The rice was another great example of simplicity and beauty. Overall, this was a new great spot for good food and service. The dishes look simple, but don't be deceived, as you will find a ton of great flavors.

We arrived a few minutes after noon on a Saturday and were promptly seated. Our waitress took drink orders and returned to answer our questions and take our orders. We had a lamb gyro, lamb kebab and my daughter ordered a plate with a sweet rice, falafel, hummus and a Mediterranean salad. Everyone was more than pleased with the flavors of their dish. We shared tastes around. I found the rice interesting, but prefer more savory when accompaniment to an entree. The marinated lamb for the kebab was outstanding and the meat cooked perfectly. I even tried the hummus which to my surprise was very good. I do not as a rule enjoy chick peas, but this mix was delightful. The restaurant itself carried the desired theme, even offering traditional low seating for those who wish that feeling. Solid five stars. I'd give extra to the wait staff for how they dealt with the chronic complainer at the next table, if Yelp would allow that extra. If you have been reading my other reviews on yelp or Google you know my philosophy is that…read moresometimes you go to a restaurant and the food isn't that great or maybe it's awful. It a situation like that, barring getting ill or having the meal be too expensive, I always say, give it another try. Cooks and Chefs have bad days/nights just like all of us. So if you can, try giving the place a second chance. However, if the wait staff is bad. They ignore you, they're rude, or if they are mean there's really no reason to go back. Those people represent the customer facing side of business and if they don't care, what does that say about the rest of the place? I can already hear some of you saying hey, they have bad days too. You're right but in sales (I've been there) you have to work it out one way or another. It can suck but whether you feel it or not you are an extremely important cog in that machine. Well, let me tell you at Royal Hyderabad on Juan Tabo, every single time I go there they care about the food and experience. They are fantastic start to end. The last time I went I got there very early to pick up my food. They offered me a seat, brought me tea, and the woman at the front struck up a conversation with me. It was friendly, nice, and in my experience of the wonderful culture. About 15 minutes later my food was ready. The woman handed me the bag. She looked at her watch, then the bag. I took the bag thanked her and wished her a good evening. I walked out the door smiling to the other customers. I was outside when it hit me that I was WAY too early pick up my food and there were several other people in line. How could they finish my food so quickly? I stopped turned around, and the woman came running outside and asked me if I could just come with her inside and wait. She noticed my name remembered who I was on. The phone asked me if I was told my food was going to take a while and she said she wanted to check my bag just to be on the safe side. She didn't think the kitchen was running that fast. Well, she was right. I had a different order and the people in the back had just made a mistake. It was just a simple miscommunication, but instead of letting me leave, she came all the way outside as I was walking to the parking lot she stopped me, asked me to come back in and helped me. She then immediately went to the back, explained what it happened and one of the chef said he would make it right and he did he had my food out in just a couple of minutes. Was recognized the person there cared enough to come get me they thanked me. They admitted to a simple mistake. They fixed the problem. Everybody was smiling at the end, and all the other customers got to see it and quite frankly, they looked impressed because they all probably know how many times they've walked out of a restaurant with an incomplete or incorrect order and nobody cared. As I have likely said before, try Royal Hyderabad on Juan Tabo. Remember that if you can't handle hot food and I mean well beyond New Mexico hot food try medium or mild. The food is delicious and I've never ever not enjoyed anything that I've tried. And the people who work there seem to really care about their clientele and treat them so nice.

The tandoori chicken especially had an amazing smoky flavor and looked awesome coming out still sizzling at the table. Albuquerque definitely needed a spot like this, and I can see why so many people recommend it for Indian food in town. A couple small things I think could make the experience even better: the drink selection was pretty limited since they only offered Coke, water, and juice. It would be nice to see more variety. Also, they had music playing in the restaurant, but it was so low you could barely hear it, so the atmosphere could feel a little more lively with the volume turned up. If that changed I'd give them a five star. Overall though, the food and service were both great and I'd definitely come back!
