Outstanding food and great service in a historic location. We've been to the Queen Mary, Long Beach 's iconic attraction many times and walked around and had drinks and food at the Observation Bar, but this is the first time that we actually had a sitting down dinner. Both the Sea Bass and Salmon were excellent. I would highly recommend

We attended a tea here, as a group of 4. We had a reservation, and it seems they stagger the reservations every 15 minutes for the tea. The day we went there was maybe a handful of tables seated for the tea. It was very quiet as the restaurant is not open for dining at this time it seems. The hostess was... honestly I am not sure how to describe it. We arrived, told her we had a reservation for 2pm and she stated we could sit and wait inside the lobby. When she sat us, she didnt say a word. I even tried to make a joke with her and ZERO reaction, no response, nothing. We thanked her for seating us and giving us our napkins for our laps, nothing. Not a word, not a smile... just VERY weird and uncomfortable. She did this all guests she sat. It was honestly uncomfortable. Our waiter comes over and he was the complete opposite, thankfully. He was very nice, and talkative and helpful. The tea was REALLY good - I got the only decaf option and I believe it had a blueberry flavor. It was very delicious. The food was ok. It was average for a tea. Another plus was we were seated with a window view.

This review is for the Afternoon Tea experience and my heart goes out to the beautifully dressed couples that were sadly turned away on Valentines Day due to a surprise change in their booking mechanisms just a week prior. I booked a room at the Queen Mary for Valentines Day months earlier and followed the instructions of the rep who booked my room to reserve the Afternoon Tea experience via the Queen Mary's website that led to Open Table. Just 8 days prior I was luckily contacted to say they are no longer honoring Open Table and was sent a link to a 3rd party site to book and pay ahead. There was 2 spots left at this time. It seems upon arrival, not everyone got that same notice. Families were dressed up specially for the event, made the trip, paid the $40 parking only to be turned away by the host, standing next to an Open Table award, saying they nolonger accepted Open Table bookings, they were full. My heart really goes out to those families. Doubly so, as we were led to our table for the time slot, only to find the place was hardly full at all at the time slot but slowly over the hour more tables were filled. But nothing close to capacity. Also want to point out that although the location was nice, having stayed and explored the ship, it was clear there were countless other greater, more historic locations that this event could have been held in. The tea itself was very nice, both Luke and Alicia were able to walk us through the tea, making accommodations for a food allergy. But oddly enough the printed menu was not exactly what we were served. "Due to their special Valentines Day menu" After a few disappointing ommissions from the printed menus on our table aside the event was enjoyable.

Surprisingly very good food! I was expecting bar food but this is actually a classy restaurant. The only reason why I didn't give 4 stars was because we were told we didn't need reservations but when we arrived they were sold out for the entire night. Thankfully they serve food while sitting at the bar. Cheers to the bar staff who made us feel welcomed and timed our drinks, appetizers and meals perfectly.

Great restaurant on the Queen Mary. The food was amazing. The service was awesome and the ambiance was nice. The decoration of the food was nice as well. A little pricy, but that's what to expect regarding seafood.

My Fiancee and I met with the Queen Mary coordinator here to go over our menu selections for our event. Neither of us ate here before. However, everything was fabulous! The decor / ambiance of it was very nice and classy. The waiters we had at our table were simply great. They were helpful, funny, and professional. The food was simply amazing. Oh my god, we walked out of there not in want for anything more. If you haven't been here before, then you need to give it a try.

    Empty restaurant

The hostess was the most rude girl I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. We arrrived right at 5 after touring the Queen Mary. She ignored us for several minutes before finally asking if we had a reservation. We didn't but the restaurant was literally empty. She sat us in the back by the walk and when I asked to sit by the window she told me no that she was saving those for reservations. It's 5 on a Thursday. 1 hour in and 4 parties finally showed up here. They need someone who actually cares about their job and patrons to be the one greeting and seating customers. Our waiter Angel was awesome but honestly, starting the meal the way we did ruined the experience for me.

Me and my partner decided to stop by before our event. We were welcomed by Elizabeth who was great and our server Ruben was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The vibe was nice and the view was great. Food was very tasty. I ordered the salmon and was not disappointed. Can't wait to return !

You never know what to expect at restaurants at tourist attractions. This was surprisingly great. We started with steamed mussels- which were just fine. The entrees were stunning, especially the Choppino - there's half a lobster in there as well as plenty of other tasty seafood. My partner had the scallops, which delighted her. Service was great - friendly and funny too. Ambience - well it's the Queen Mary!

I had the pleasure of having a date on The Queen Mary with my partner visiting from PA and it was fantastic! Our servers were very kind and attentive, checking in frequently with us but not too much. I decided to try something new too and had the fresh caught swordfish and it was delicious, I'm usually very picky with vegetables but it paired well with all the side dishes. I'm glad we had gone at such a decent time as well to where we could see the ocean view from our spot while the sun was setting. I definitely recommend going here, and if you have the time catch the ghost tour after too!

This was definitely a unique restaurant, and that is the main reason we came. With that being said, the food was mediocre at best, but the view and service were decent. The filet mignon was not worth it. It was bland, but cooked well. The fish and chips were decent. The clam chowder and creme brulee were the stand out food items. I would get those two items again. Very expensive meal that was not worth the price. The server was attentive and nice. The whole ambiance is definitely different. The view is gorgeous. Since we came on a Monday, it was less crowded. TLTR: ok food, great view with good clam chowder and creme brulee

My cousins and I got there around 9 p.m. on a Friday. It was steady, but when we went up for our first drinks the bar itself wasn't very busy--there were maybe two people in front of us and two behind us. I mention this because it matters for context. My cousin ordered two drinks, one for him and one for his girlfriend. We were talking and at some point I looked at his girlfriend's drink, which was already about halfway empty, and noticed a fairly large crack running across one side of the glass, right above where the remainder of her drink was. I said, "Hey, your glass has a significant crack in it," and she laughed it off and said she noticed and was just drinking from the other side. I told her she absolutely should not do that because there was already a chip near the rim and there could potentially be tiny pieces of glass in the drink. I also told her we needed to bring it to the bartender's attention because that's a legitimate safety issue. Someone who isn't paying attention could cut their lip or potentially ingest glass. By the time we went back up to the bar, it had gotten quite a bit busier. We explained what happened to the bartender and he asked if we got the drink there. We said yes and pointed out the female bartender who had originally served us. He asked what the drink was, walked away, served a few other people, and eventually brought us a replacement. We were completely patient. We understood that the bar was busier at this point, we weren't rude, and we weren't upset about having to wait. What bothered me was when he handed us the replacement and said, "Next time you need to let us know when it happens." That response really rubbed me the wrong way. It's not the customer's responsibility to inspect a glass before drinking from it, and obviously we would have said something sooner if we had noticed it sooner. Considering the bar wasn't particularly busy when the drink was originally made, I was also surprised that a crack that significant wasn't noticed before the glass was served. I did take a photo of the bartender afterward because I wanted to make sure I could identify the person involved when I brought the interaction to management's attention. I spoke with the person who identified himself as the manager and explained what happened. He said he would speak with the bartender, but the response also felt somewhat dismissive given that my concern was ultimately about customer safety and how the situation was handled. Accidents happen and glasses crack. Had the drink simply been replaced and the concern acknowledged appropriately, I honestly probably wouldn't be writing this review. It was the combination of being served a visibly cracked glass, being told that we should have notified them sooner, and then feeling like the concern wasn't taken particularly seriously when I brought it to management that ultimately prompted me to leave an honest review. Beautiful property and amazing view, but the way this situation was handled definitely left a bad impression.

Most recent time we went was when they had a guest bartender (Polo Chang). Some of the best cocktails I've had recently. I'm a huge fan of tea in cocktail his menu was amazing. We got way more drinks than we usually do that night because each one was better than the last. Only thing tho I really wish they kept their old menu. The drawings were beautiful and it had so much character while very easily communicating how each drink will look and taste. It went so well with the overall vibe of the place. But I may just be nitpicking because I have hard time reading the new dark menu in the dim light lolol I honestly would come here wayyyy more often if it wasn't for the very limited parking. Even with reservation it feels like never a guarantee we will make it there because we may or may not be able to find parking. If you are lucky to be nearby highly recommend uber.

We sat at the bar, and I expected to receive service from the bartender, but he didn't acknowledge us for the entire night. Instead, our server took our order. After a while, she informed us that the crispy rice we ordered was sold out. She mentioned that the bartender was supposed to let us know, but he never did. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that the bartender seemed to be giving most of his attention to the Caucasian customers on the other side of the bar. We were the only Asian customers there, and unfortunately, this left us feeling like we were being treated differently because of our race. The good food and drinks helped compensate for the poor service, so we decided not to let it ruin our evening. However, things got even more disappointing at the end. After I paid, I noticed that I had been charged for the crispy rice even though we never received it. When our server tried to address the issue, the bartender appeared to ignore both her and us, so we eventually left. I hope management sees this review and reaches out to me to address the overcharge and the overall experience. Overall, although the food and drinks were good, the service and the way we were treated left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

You're telling me dozens of people are stuck waiting forever while there's plenty of room inside? It's giving manufactured crowd and poor management. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.
