I really liked Lees! They have a good menu with may choices as well as many combo meals allowing you to easily order a small assortment of your favorite American style Chinese food. Stating off they give you pickled cucumbers which were fresh and tasty. Dining room is clean and all chairs have covers. It's a nice middle class Chinese place with friendly service and the food comes pretty quick! I ordered general tsp chicken fried rice and some shrimp tempura. Weird assortment of items but it was great! I couldn't finish my plate as there was a large amount of food. Cost was relative to today and not expensive for what you get... 16 bucks i think but the meal was huge for me!! Really liked it and will be back to try again. There are though 3 or so other Chinese places around and I plan on trying them all!

Lee's in Newport was a favorite of ours when we lived down there last year. We had had a prior good experience ordering from the Lincoln City location as well. Portions were generous and everything always arrived piping hot. We were happy with them. There was a bit of a blip for us when they had some Health Code violations so we took a break for a while. Recently though we wanted California rolls and a salad on a warm day and I recalled seeing an " Avocado Salad" on their menu, and that we liked their California rolls in the past. Plus we crave the BBQ pork. So, we ordered from Door Dash. And the salads were beautiful. The BBQ pork was perfect, the California rolls were good too. It was a good experience overall. My former county coworkers always reminded me that the best time to go to a restaurant is after they get caught doing something wrong, cuz that's when they are working extra hard to make it right. Makes sense. Salad from a Chinese place is weird, I know. But it was really good!

Did a Doordash order from this place. I thought it was just fine but not great. Hot and sour soup was okay.. definitely had better. My partner got Moo Goo Gai Pan, which he said was just okay and nothing special. I ordered the #14 combo, which comes with orange chicken, BBQ pork, pork fried rice, and fried shrimp. I thought it was pretty decent but nothing necessarily stood out. I had read that the orange chicken was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all. Portions were fine and the food filled my belly.

Service was great, no complaints about the staff. The food was just ok. I got dinner combination 13. General TSO chicken, pork fried rice, bbq pork, shrimp tempura and an orange slice. Chicken was dry but the sauce was decent. The shrink was clearly from the frozen section of Costco. There's a better place down the street. The fortune cookie was clearly threatening my wife.

It is my tradition to order Chinese delivered to my hotel room the first night of a vacation. Note to self: don't do this in Lincoln City!! I door-dashed an order from Lee's, it cost almost $50 before tip. I ordered 3 Pot Stickers, Lemon Chicken, and Sesame Chicken (both with brown rice). I ate the pot stickers first, dipping in a HUGE sauce pot. They were OK. I ate the Lemon Chicken next. Ate is a misnomer, the chicken was so skinny and dry that it was like eating bark. The sauce had good flavor, though. I ate the fattest pieces and tossed the rest. What a waste of $20!! The brown rice was good. I opened the Sesame Chicken next and it became clear that the big pot of sauce was for that!! Instead of pouring it over the chicken, I dipped the chicken in the sauce. Again, the chicken was tough and dry, I only could eat the largest of the chicken pieces and tossed the rest. Again, what a waste of $20!! I would definitely NOT eat food from this restaurant again. So disappointed. I basically threw away $50 on horrible food.

Lee's is an absolute treasures. The food is wonderful, generous, and a pleasure to experience. I've been ordering from Lee's since first discovering them on a trip to the coast in 2010. It's not a complete coast trip without enjoying Lee's. I highly recommend them.

We were staying at the D sands across the street. It was raining so we ordered delivery from their website which was very fast delivery. After reading the reviews we were a little suspect. They were mixed so we figured we would give it a try. The ambiance was our hotel bed, but I can tell you the view from the restaurant is the ocean which you just can't beat! The food. They carry several different regions of Chinese food styles, which gives you plenty of options. We ordered the Szechuan general tso chicken, beef with vegetables, and spring rolls. We got pork fried rice, and pan fried noodles as sides. Very much Americanized Chinese food, but the flavor on the general tso was very good! Lots of five spice! And it was crispy! Not soggy. The noodles and rice were simple and just fine. The beef was tasty. A little salt was needed. I mixed the beef with the noodles and added a little soy sauce. Was great! The spring rolls were simple. Came with a sweet and sour and hot mustard. It also came with a sauce that was like a cocktail sauce. That was new to me! All in all this was a great American Chinese food fix!

A questionable shrimp egg roll which had absolutely zero shrimp & tasted like cinnamon on the outside. Trash.

The only thing good about this place is that they're open at 10pm on a Saturday night when other places have already closed. However, treat yourself with a protein bar or bag of chips before you spend your money on this place. $50 of practically inedible food. I don't think my combination platter had a single dash of seasoning. 100% sure all of the appetizers are just pre-frozen and over fried in some random oil. Questioning how my digestive system will handle these few bites taken. Trash.

    Love the cucumbers!

The food here is DELICIOUS! We had a combo with General Tso's and Beef & Broccoli, plus a Kung pao with shrimp and scallops. Everything was very fresh and tasted like homemade sauces. Will be back SOON!

It was a great experience for take out. All 8 in our group enjoyed the food & it was made quickly with no issues. I was very very happy to have so many vegetarian options & got two different fried tofu options and they were both delicious.

War Won Ton Soup Pretty salty.

He suggested we have a sampling taste of the soups of the day before ordering. We settled on two different cups of soup. Then ordered our entrees. One was a basic hamburger plain with just bacon. The person who ordered it said it was the best tasting burger he ever had. I ordered the bouillabaisse that had shrimp. Scallops, crab, and a wonderful piece of Halibut. The sauce was extremely tasty. Another entree sautéed oysters. Everything was outstanding. We don't stop and ordered desserts that our waiter suggested. It was just a fantastic experience.

Upon returning this year, I looked forward to another great meal there. I was surprised to find that Side Bar Cafe has changed quite a bit from what I remembered. In the past the restaurant used only the southern part of the building it's in, with maybe 16 tables, which created a warm and quiet atmosphere suitable for a date night. I was surprised to find that they have expanded to include many more tables and a second bar in the adjoining space, which was formerly rarely used, seemingly only for random entertainment events. This created a busier and noisier environment, which I didn't enjoy as much. The list of food and beverages on the menu is much greater than in that distant past. From what I could tell from one visit the food is just as good as it was, but the place felt more crowded and the service was more rushed due to the volume of guests, and the noise level was definitely higher. I will go again on my next visit to the area, but my fond expectations will have changed.

I called in breakfast to Hilltop so we could pick it up to go to the beach. The lady on the phone was very nice. It was 10 minutes to pick up. I ordered: French toast , 3 big pieces cut into 6 triangles for $11.95 with fresh straberries for $5.50 ( they were out so I got sliced bananas also $5.50 ouch). Came with two containers of not real maple syrup and one of whipped butter. French toast was soft but hot and pretty tasty. Dining companion ordered the 2 egg breakfast with bacon for $17.95. His eggs were scrambled, he got some hashbrowns, 2 pieces of sourough toast, and 3 or 4 pieces of thick but not crispy bacon. There were no jam or ketchup packets provided which made him a little sad. I cannot speak to their coffee because we got espresso at Human Bean and took the lot to the beach. This was a decent breakfast overall. If you order takeout ask for condiments ( oh and utensils and napkins we didnt get those fortunately I had some in my car). Sorry I forgot to take pics. .
