Customer service is good and the food was prepared without us having to wait an exorbitant amount of time. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered Szechuan tofu with rice and then vegetable chow mein (which was amazing) and my nana ordered salt and pepper wings and vegetable egg rolls. She claims they were excellent. I'm usually a big eater but could not finish it all. Place is mid sized, if you intend to have a large party, you will take up most of the space in this place. Tables would have to be moved together if you wanted to sit together. Other than that it is perfect for 1-4 people to grab lunch and go. They take phone orders. We ordered our dinner on line for carry out and our order was delicious everything tasted very fresh and was obviously made to order. The portion was a very good size. We ordered 2 appetizers and an entree and that was plenty for the 2 of us with enough of the entree for another meal. Our entree, Happy Family had a lot of meat and plenty of fresh vegetables. We really enjoyed it. When I walked in to pick up the order the woman was waiting on another table but still immediately turned her head and welcomed me and said she would be right with me and she helped me as soon as she was done. I love this place. It's my go-to local Chinese take out. I'm not a meat eater and their orange tofu and veggie fried rice always hits the spot. The owner is very nice and always greets with a smile. We've been eating here since the new owners took over a few years ago. We were thrilled to find egg foo young on the menu. Even more thrilled that it was actually good Tonight's order of vegetable egg foo young was almost tasteless and the sauce served with it was so salty it was inedible. What a disappointment. And, that made dinner white rice with soy sauce. We've had many other dishes. Some good and some not so tasty. The stir fried dishes tend to be better, although the list of ingredients is not accurate. Have ordered 2 different dishes that advertised snow peas and not a pea was found in either dish. So, don't get too excited about your favorite ingredients because they might not show up. Stopped ordering the egg drop soup as the chicken was like shoe leather each time. Think it's time to find a new Chinese food restaurant and not accept mediocre dishes. The dining space is too hot to be enjoyable and you're not allowed to use the restroom. read more

It was our first time at Chen's kitchen tonight I really enjoyed the flavors, the noodles were done in a nice sauce: the main complaint is that is basically what we got noodles. There was no pork, no cabbage, no vegetables just a big plate of noodles! we took it into the kitchen and tore into it at the bottom of the bowl. There were three small slices of pork. It was really a letdown because we were looking forward to returning again. Maybe if they do something with their portions, we would try again. read more

Efficient and freshly made food, that tastes good. New owners kept the same menu. As with everything, prices have risen but not exhorbitantly more. Just another typical Chinese joint like on every corner of every city. The meat never really tastes like meat. We dined in because we wanted soup and scorching hot soup should never be in a plastic to go container. To our disappointment, our soup was served to our table in a plastic to go container. To make it even more unhealthy they bring you a STYROFOAM bowl and plastic spoons. Might as well add some melted LEGO's on top. There are no bathrooms as well. THEY GOT DUCK SAUCE IYKYK!! The food was pretty good. The chow mein was a little dry. The sweet and sour pork was fried to perfection and the sauce was super sweet. The house special chicken was really good. Could've used a little more flavor but was good. The potstickers, vegetables egg roll and chicken egg roll were okay; they were fried for to long making them quite hard but the inside was good. The sauces tho are to die for . The lady at the counter was super sweet and nice. (Ofc my husband didn't understand what I wanted when he called in, she waited till I got there and checked certain things over with me). Not every place does them correctly, so I was skeptical, but figured I'll never know unless I try. Best decision! Wings were hot, crispy and seasoned perfectly. S&P shrimp were whole, shell-on and seasoned & fried exactly as they should be. This is exactly what you would expect from a quick service Chinese food place. I would compare it to Panda Express, because the food gave me the feel of getting it from a warming tray. Although I did see them making up things fresh, perhaps this was due to the contents sitting in to go containers. The food was mediocre, gives you the taste of what you are looking for but not the freshest or best quality. However, we did try it on Christmas and they were slammed which may have diminished the quality. The workers were very busy, they handled what seemed to be a high stress situation with grace. They did underestimate our wait time as we called ahead and ended up waiting about an hour versus the 40 minutes we were told. We were very happy to receive our food as there were not many places open. The location is in a strip mall with a large parking lot. We've never had great food here but wanted to give it another chance, as we like supporting local businesses. It appears to be under new ownership or management, so we thought it may have improved. Unfortunately, it got worse. I used to dine in years ago with my kids who were babies then, and the staff was always so nice to us and would gush over my daughters. It was a pleasant experience to dine in, even if we didn't love the food. Food was always brought out on dishes along with silverware. Now, the dine-in experience is one to be avoided. Our food was brought out in a styrofoam container, along with styrofoam plates and plastic forks! I was in shock. Why would anyone want to dine in and eat off plastic? We ended up getting it to go, so at least we could go home and avoid wasting styrofoam. This day and age, it's shocking that more businesses don't care about the environment. My wife and I had the opportunity to have lunch today at Chens. We both got the Lunch House special Beef with Egg fried rice. This was a large portion with a well balanced serving of each. The Rice and Beef were outstanding. The Pot stickers were good and the pastry they gave us was a terrific complement too the meal. This was a lot better than anything I have ever had at Panda or pick up stix. The place is small with about 6 tables inside. What it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in taste and quality. The portion size for lunch was generous and depending on how much you eat could be two meals. The staff was really sweet and helpful. Would recommend!! The honey walnut shrimp was a little more breaded than you'd find at Chin's or Panda Express for example but it was delicious and the fried rice was WAY better than anywhere else I've had- fresh egg in it. Great small spot for a quick lunch. The server was kind and directed us to try the spicy chicken. It was not too spicy but came out of the kitchen hot! Chicken was a bit chewy but still good. Our other dish was chicken with green beans, which is my son's favorite. It was hot and fresh, green beans still had nice snap, they were not stringy as can easily happen in this dish. Ordered trays for a get together for over 20 people. The food was ready on time and very hot, so nice to know it had been made fresh.The favorites ordered were beef & broccoli, chicken and vegetables and garlic pepper wings which were fried. Also one person who loves cream cheese won tons said they were delicious with a good amount of filling (apparently some places skimp on that) we got extra trays because my husband thought it didn't look like enough even though the lady said how much it would feed. I think she was pretty accurate. But nobody was bothered that we had leftovers. We gave food to everyone as they left and no one declined.
