Worst makeup i think i have ever gotten as well as the worst customer service i have ever experienced!!!! The makeup that was put on my face did not match my skin tone whatsoever. I was never asked what i wanted and when i did end up telling the lady what i wanted, which was brown and silver eyeshadow this lady made my eyeshadow white and never asked me if i liked it. She never asked me what lip color i wanted. She also assumed i didn't want my eyebrows filled in which i did so i had to remind her to do it. Worst customer service and worst makeup. Also when it was time to pay i was told over the phone that it would be $60 and somehow i ended up paying $75. This place is a joke and i do not recommend. She also put concealer all over my face not foundation, just concealer. Never coming back. read more

It was my first time using cherry blow dry bar, and I will not be back. I decided to give them a try because I had a wedding to go to and my hair is about chin length and I wanted to do something besides straighten it. I asked for either beachy waves or loose modern finger waves. The stylist was unfriendly, and dropped the curling iron on me. When she did talk to me it was to complain about a ghetto wedding that she had gone to where some girl was an attention whore. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. After her struggling for an hour to try and do waves of any kind, she declared that my hair wouldn't hold a curl and straightened it and slicked it back, which I could of done at home and saved $40. She then suggested I go to 5 below and buy decorative hair clips to liven it up. Since she had already taken so long to do literally nothing to my hair I was running late and didn't have time to argue with her. I was highly disappointed and ended up doing my OWN hair in the car on the way there. My suggestion is don't waste your time or money. read more

I was extremely pleased with my blow out from Giselle. It was my first time at this bar-- and I previously have been to drybar and I think that she did a much better job they did. I have long curly corse hair, she gave me the perfect blowout with waves and it lasted all day and she had me out of there in less then an hour. I was extremely satisfied and will be back! read more

I've been to better blow dry bars. I showed up at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment; wasn't seen until 10:40. The stylist mumbled a hello, didn't apologize for keeping me waiting. During the hair washing she kept getting water in my eyes and water dripped down my back. I asked for a blow dry straight style, and she did an okay job, but she only used a flat iron for maybe a quarter of my hair. She didn't say a word the whole time, except at the end where she told me my hair was "tricky". I guess that was her excuse for doing a so-so job? Basically I paid $36 for a blowout style I could have done myself at home - which is exactly what I'm going to have to do as I'll have to flat iron it when I get home. Save your money, skip this place. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT order any gift cards online! I went to the Cherry Blow Dry Bar website to book an appointment just before Mother's Day and saw that there was a special running for Mother's Day. Buy a $100 gift card and get a free blow-out. Sweet, right? I clicked through the Mothers Day promo link, placed my order, got a $100 gift card, but NO voucher for a blow-out. I emailed them right away, no response. I called their customer service number, but the billing person told me that she couldn't do anything about it, because she didn't work with gift certificates. I called the store, and they told me the manager would call me back. Guess what... many days later and still no call back. Clearly, they have no intention of honoring the special, or communicating with customers about botched orders. This is completely fraudulent, so I would warn you about purchasing anything with them. read more

First time here and really enjoyed it! I came with my sister so we could get our hair done for my bridal shower and both of our blowouts turned out amazing! The stylists listened to what we wanted and accommodated our requests. Definitely will return in the future. read more

Whomever answers the phones is rude, I have called several times to make an appointment and she seems bothered to do her job. They are ALWAYS booked. And, the one time I was able to get an appointmen they used so much product in my hair the blow out lasted one day. I'd suggest DryBar open a location right next door. read more

this place is A-mazing. All of the stylists here are so talented and well trained!! Since becoming an unlimited member for an insanely fair monthly rate ($99) I pick from a look book of over 6 different styles. I get my hair blown out at least 3 times a week (usually at 7am before heading to work) and it's a relaxing and hassle free experience every time. Highly recommend this place!! read more

I have medium length hair and went in for a beach wave look. There were two women at the counter when I walked in. Neither one of them greeted me. One was checking out a customer and the other was staring at the computer screen. It would not have taken but a moment to look up and say "hello." It was my first time there which I had stated when I made the appointment, but the stylist acted like I had been there a million times...there was no "I see it's your first time, welcome" or anything. After an overly vigorous shampoo (nails should NOT be scraping the scalp), I was directed to the chair. The blow dryer was on such high heat that it felt as though my scalp was being further abused. The end result was one curly side and one half-wavy side where stylist had sort of run her fingers through the curls she just made and pulled half of them out so that my hair now had strands akimbo. It was flat within two hours. I understand that not everyone is a conversationalist but my stylist took so long to respond to a simple attempt on my part to be friendly, that I began to wonder if she was on downers. I was visiting my parents (I live in NYC) and my mom and I wanted to try this place out. I should have been cautioned by the reviews but I decided to give it a try anyway. As someone who gets regular blowouts, I was not impressed one bit. Way too much product put in my hair and I just felt like the stylist doing my hair didn't want to be there and didn't really know what she was doing. I explained what I wanted (a straight blowout with volume and bend at the bottom). She then proceeded to ask if I wanted her to straighten my hair- I said no because I asked for bend at the bottom. My mom's hair was so bad that she had to redo it when she got home- it was all frizz with straw like ends. I wanted to like this place but I won't be going back. Sorry :( read more

I scheduled an appointment for last weekend to try to have my hair look somewhat decent for a wedding despite the 100 degree heat. I ignored the questionable reviews out of desperation and I should have known better. After arriving and meeting my stylist she didn't even introduce herself. The wash was a disaster, I got soaked! As someone who frequently gets blow outs this was the most disappointing wash I have ever received. Once back in the chair it took almost 5 minutes to get started because she was on her phone texting, then 5 minutes into the blow dry she stopped again to text for a few minutes. After another 2 minutes of blow drying to stopped took her phone and went to the bathroom. After almost 10 minutes of waiting I asked to be switched to another stylist to finish my blowout. The level of unprofessionalism here was incredible. Everyone was on their phones, no one offered to help me, and more than one person stepped out for a cigarette break and came back in reeking of smoke. To be fair, the person at the front desk realized I had a disaster of an appointment and I was not charged. However, I will never be coming back and I would warn anyone else to have incredibly low expectations. read more

This place was awful, absolutely awful. I was looking forward to my appointment as I was going out that evening for my husbands birthday with friends. I didn't see any "look book" it was just a "how do you want it to look" and then globbing on hair products and the end result was frizzy ends and she blew my entire head soaking wet. Meaning, she didn't rough dry it to get any of the drips out after washing. I had to fix it when I got home and it was just a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never go back. These people clearly don't know what they are doing. Though I wanted to love it here, I can't say I do. I had a membership this summer and realized how much turnover in staff there is, which generates sub-par stylists. Additionally when I tried to cancel my membership, money was still withdrawn from my account and not only did the owner refuse to refund me, he was extremely rude, insulting, and even hung up on me. They have poor communication which in turn hurts the customer when asking for help. I booked a blow out and make up appointment for a gala I was attending. I was assured my appointment was with a senior stylist - that couldn't have been further from the truth. She did my make up first which I thought was weird since most places would do your hair first. My hair was so horrible I told the stylist I couldn't go out in public like that. She went to talk to someone, told me someone else would do me and left me alone. The woman who did my hair was able to fix it but my hair fell out and was flat by the time I got to the event (my hair does hold a curl.) I called and they refunded my money, although it took days for them to call me back and 3 weeks to refund my money. I had to come into the store and pick up cash as they didn't know how to refund my credit card. read more

This salon in Cherry Hill is pathetic! Receptionist is very rude and management is lacking. If I could do a zero star I would. They are completely clueless about African American hair...they have 1-2 stylists that did an okay job on my 9 year old but literally spent 1.5 hours (2 hours according to them). The WORST part is their customer service!! Most recently I made an appointment with one of the okay stylists...2 weeks in advance and was told at the time her schedule was wide open. I was called the day before the appointment to cancel because "her hair takes 2 hours" and there is no room in the schedule. Outrageous!! You just found this out now? Who does that to a child?? This is the second time they have tried to pull this. Why not just be professional, own your ineptness and admit you can't handle her hair. As if that wasn't enough, they misdiagnosed her with lice. I told them we had just returned from the beach and all were covered with sand and tiny pebbles. They insisted (after "management evaluation") that it was lice and shooed her out of there. They are lucky I didn't sue! Of course it was not lice. Diagnosis sand!!! I guess I should have stopped going to this circus a long time ago. I went to the Cherry Blow Dry Bar In Wayne for the very first time and it was the worst salon experience I've ever had ! It was my first time there so I went in and wanted to get a quick blow out , or so I thought it would be quick ; it was empty so I assumed I'd be in and out. First , I was taken to the back to get my hair washed , my hair was pretty much rinsed with a little soap, my hair clearly did not feel clean what's so ever, I suggest washing your hair prior to going there. She asked what I wanted done to my hair and I simply said blowed out straight and no flat iron , I thought she understood exactly what I explained to her but clearly that was not the case. She started blowing out my hair but I couldn't see how it was looking because she had my turned to the side, after an HOUR AND A HALF she's finally done and turns me around and I wanted to DIE! My hair was frizzy puffy and the ends looked horrible I thought it was a joke but she clearly was serious. I told her that I disliked my hair it wasn't what I expected if she could blow it out more but nothing was done ! I've never been so pissed and embarrassed in my life and then to have to pay $40 was the worse part ! The lady in charge had the nerve to say oh nice hair ! Right sure , she clearly saw that was a poor job ! NEVER will I go there in my life again! NOR will I ever suggest the place to anyone ! Went their for hairstyling and prom makeup, ten minutes after getting my hair curled half the curls fell out despite explaining my hairs need for a lot of product to the employee and the makeup look I got was nothing like I asked (keep in mind I asked for a simple nude Smokey eye). The makeup employee used visibly dirty brushes on me and majority of the makeup was cheap which was surprising since what I paid for could cover the cost of a good foundation. The palettes were dirty and she told me to use a lipstick I had at home due to their lack of makeup products (which I find unprofessional and is more or so the company's fault and not the employee but because I'm paying for a "professional makeup look" I expect lipstick to be included). She skipped many makeup steps like concealer, contour and setting powder and used eyeshadow to fill in my brows, which looked smudgy in the end. She asked me if I wanted certain things done like brows and contour with uncertainty as if she either didn't want to do it or didn't have the skill to. My makeup was an embarrassment so I touched it up at home. As prom and other school events come around again I recommend you use your money somewhere else read more

I came into Cherry Blow Dry Bar on Saturday and I have mixed feelings about my experience. I walked in and I did not feel welcome AT ALL everyone just stared at me and not even a hello. Just a "what's your name?" After that I was greeted by Stacy who was wonderful. I told her I wanted some vintage style curls and everything and she gave me what I asked for and was wonderful. I really wanted to love this place because over the phone the lady was super nice, answered all my questions, etc. I come in and the person who is about to do my hair doesn't even say hello to me. She asks me what I am getting done, so I show her a picture of an updo I'd like and she just says okay. Doesn't even really care for the picture, seems like she is going to do what she wants to do. She starts blow drying my hair and than once its dry she starts grabbing random pieces and doesn't even seem to care if its being nicely done, kind of doing a whatever job throwing pieces together and doing a bun that looks NOTHING like the picture. I truly feel as though if you can't do updos and focus on only ONE style you can do, you shouldn't work at a hair salon. Being the person I am I was too afraid to speak up or hurt her feelings but honestly after paying 85.00 dollars was NOT worth it. The updo that was done on my hair my mom or friend could have easily done. It looked nothing like the picture. Completely rushed it on me, and the way she put the pins in, etc really hurt in the back of my head. Maybe it was just this person specifically, I do not want to say any names, but I will never go back, I rather spend the 85 dollars plus tip somewhere else!! read more

Myself and 6 of my friends had appointments on a Saturday. Overall we had a fun time because we are a laid back group, however there are some things that you just can't over look when you are paying customers. When we got our hair washed, the water was freezing cold. Not even warm, freezing. The stylists were apologetic and said that it always happens at the end of the day. The other major complaint we have is that the stylists were very unprofessional. They were all having completely inappropriate conversations with each other while doing our hair. Mine was complaining about the lack of tips she received the day before, mentioning it was "only $4 a client." I completely empathize that crappy tippers can make or break your day, but that is not appropriate to talk about in front of another client. There was also a lot of drama between the stylists about who's client was who's. Three stylists were complaining saying "this isn't even my client," WHILE styling my friends' hair. They made my friends feel so uncomfortable. One said "I might just walk out," while my friend's hair was soaking wet. One stylist said "I can finish her hair in 15 minutes," when we all had one hour appointments. It seemed like the stylists were annoyed to be at work and didn't want any more clients because it was Saturday night and they just wanted to go home. Again, we all had appointments, we were not walk ins. We had a fun time together, but the lack of professionalism from the stylists makes us not want to return. read more
