Hanging out for a couple days in downtown LA for jury. Luckily lunch breaks are 1 1/2 hours, giving us time to leisurely enjoy our lunch. Turning to the Yelp app for options nearby, I found this small cafe walking distance from the court house. Easy and convenient to allow me to dine in. Sandwiches, salads, smoothies, etc.. the menu was more extensive than I expected. I was leaning towards a hot sandwich, but since I was planning to save half for later, cold was the way to go this time. My turkey avocado on sourdough was quite tasty and nice size portion. It is only a sandwich, any sides need to be purchased separately. They were kind enough to serve 1/2 my sandwich as dine in, and wrapped the other half to go. I also tried the Green Diet smoothie. This was thinner with a more watery taste than I expected, but overall not bad. I am usually a fan of any green smoothie with kale or spinach, peanut butter and banana. Definitely a great spot only 5 min walk from the courthouse.

Cozy cozy cozy spot right in the heart of DTLA near the Civic Center Metro stop. Easy access to pick up a sammich. Great selection of choices and love how many different ways you can get a sandwich. Opted for a crispy panini since I love a little crunchy vibe. Cheesy, gooey, and the lettuce retained this nice crunch while the pesto chicken stayed tender. Need another one PRONTO.

Great service and plenty of food for your money! Eclectic decor, the veggies in my wrap were fresh and filling. The salmon bagel sandwich was out of this world!! My only complaint is that it was very quiet, but that's what earbuds are for, right? Will be back.

Cherry pick cafe is a chill little spot with great items to choose from. Prices are reasonable compared to other places Downtown. Lunch hours do get busy from the locals as you can imagine. Sandwiches and wraps are great here don't forget to pick up a cookie. There is a variety to choose from on the menu. They even make pizza. Plenty of seating inside or pick up and go. Give Cherry Pick Cafe a try if in the area.

The food was great. This was a last minute thing. I will be forever grateful of my girlfriend for picking this place at the last minute. The service was great. A lot of nice people. I love the ambience because it brings chill vibes.

Hidden Gem in DTLA I found this cafe by accident and I cannot tell you enough from the quality of food to the service. The pizza was so delicious. The ambiance was nice! Gives you a NYC feeling which is nice! Highly recommend everyone to visit and enjoy some good food.

Such a great café! I love coming here because their sandwich and salad taste so fresh. The salads are flavorful and satisfying, and the juice is just the right amount of refreshing. Each visit feels like a small treat, and I always leave happy. Highly recommended if you're looking for something tasty and uplifting! My favorites: Cobb Salad, Asian Chicken Salad

Great atmosphere, great food, and friendly staff! I've been in L.A for 3 days and I'm bummed that I didn't find them sooner!

Ambiance: it's a hidden gem located in DTLA, about a block north from the grand central market hill entrance, narrow but deep inside the establishment,m Service: they have been in business over twenty years, very friendly and patient with questions Food: numerous items on their breakfast and regular menu, two to three sizes to choose for majority sandwiches Cherry Pick Sub - **** regular, roast beef, ham, and turkey with two kinds of cheese, fresh ingredients and balanced flavors, recommend Price: decent quality and great prices, about $15 per person for a lunch meal

This review is only for the morning service. I work in the building where they are located. I love coming here to get my fresh juice and toasted jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese. The owner is super friendly & by now he knows our order. The place is old nostalgia but clean & cozy. I've never had an issue & in the morning (anytime before 9 am) is not that busy. As far as prices, this place is a heck of a lot cheaper than heading to Grand Central Market. A juice there cost 12 bucks for 16 oz @ Cherry Pick Cafe is $8.50. The bagel I order is a little less than $5. I've seen the lunch menu, the prices are OK & less than if you went anywhere else but I've never ordered lunch from then. As far as, I know, there aren't any bathroom.

Oddly, loved it! It's not appealing from the street and maybe not so much as you venture inside.. but the food is great! . Excellent service, great food. Myriad options... great choice.

Cherry Pick Cafe is about 10 steps from my office which makes it so convenient to grab some coffee and a bite to eat. Everything they serve here is delicious and gigantic, from the salads to the pastries. You always get a friendly greeting with amazing service. This small cafe also has a few tables and chairs inside if you decide to dine in. There is also a few parking lots near by and some metered parking if you are lucky. Definitely check them out!

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. Given the small size of the shop, takeout is recommended, especially during peak hours. The sandwiches at AAV are so good! Fuggedaboutit!

The Godmother is good but disproportionately acclaimed, and I'd never wait in line to get it. Thankfully, it's easy to order ahead. I did this through DoorDash on the drive over to Santa Monica, where we were already headed to catch a Sunday afternoon play. We walked in and saw the zoo at the deli counter, then learned that DoorDash pick-ups were in a different corner of the grocery. There was a confusing sign that indicated "catering & on-line pick up around the corner to the left," which in its ambiguous phrasing, led me to a place I wasn't supposed to go (it was apparently only for catering orders, but what about "catering & on-line pick up" excludes DoorDash orders?). A snippy employee cast me out and completely ignored my explanation about the sign. But other than that, the pick-up was quick and painless, much better than waiting in that line. It was like going to the DMV with an appointment vs. without (one of my favorite Broad City gags). We looked around the store, which was quite nice, a sizable gourmet grocery with lots of wine, deli goods, tinned fish, etc. My husband bought a lemonade and learned that Bay Cities doesn't take credit cards. (He was able to use an ATM card.) We took our pick-up order, bagged in a maximal amount of plastic, and grabbed one a handful of shaded tables in front of the store. We'd planned to take our sandwiches to a park, but this was a pleasant place to eat. I got the Godmother with the works: prosciutto, ham, capicola, mortadella, Genoa salami, and Provolone; hot peppers (you can also get mild), Italian dressing, mayo, yellow mustard, lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles, all on a fresh Italian roll. The bread was great, sturdy with a good crunch, and I liked the sandwich well enough. It was OK+ for sure, just not really a standout in my map of Los Angeles sandwiches. I also ordered a side of snap pea salad, with fresh snap peas, mandarin orange, black sesame seeds, sesame oil, and salt. I love snap peas but I guess I don't love them quite this raw and underdressed. This was a disappointment. If I lived in Santa Monica, I might go to Bay Cities more than once every 16 years. But unless I'm still missing something, it's not really worth a drive.
