We chose the structure behind the center and ended up paying $20 for one hour, which wasn't ideal. Street parking was full, so next time I'd look for a better garage or plan ahead. This place was clearly popular with a steady flow of customers coming in and out for to-go orders. Seating is very limited, so it's better for takeout than dining in. I stopped by Mike's Deli in DTLA on my way to Union Station, and I'm glad I did! While the store itself isn't flashy at all, they do produce some extremely good sandwiches. The girl working at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Mike's Deli #1, which is essentially a spicy version of a turkey avocado sandwich. The sandwich was super fresh and bursting with flavor. Really, every aspect of this sandwich was memorable, and the meat-to-vegetable-to-bread ratio was on point. The sandwich overall didn't need that sauerkraut in my opinion, it had a sweet taste that to me wasn't very necessary. I had training out in Little Tokyo and was craving a sandwich. I ended up getting the BLT with extra mayo. It was so packed with bacon something I wasn't expecting and it was so good. It was meaty and was definitely worth it. I read about Boars Head meats in the news so I figured bacon was fully cooked so that was safe. There are some seats next to the window or if you're lucky enough you can sit outside and enjoy the shade and a good meal. They do have a TV inside but the angle is more if your waiting for your order and not while your eating. Next time I'm in the area I'll go back for another good sandwich. read more

OMG My food addiction is a good sandwich and Mike's is my place. I'm a dispatcher for the city of Los Angeles and we have two centers Valley and DTLA. I really try to be proactive about my health so I bring my lunch from home. Fast food just doesn't do it for me. We have two centers and we alternate centers when we do overtime. This month DTLA center was it! Let me tell you I can't wait to have my sandwich from Mikes Deli. It's so fresh, quality meat and the bread isss just delicious. I was enjoying my sandwich so well I bite my nail off and I ain't even lyin. I d give this place 5 stars but I have to comment on the smell. Whether it's the one Downtown or the original location on Slauson this place never fails to provide great food and great service. The best turkey sandwich in town. My only complaint is that they don't offer a half sandwich because I can never finish one by myself it's to huge, so I end up wasting the rest because you can save a sandwich it get mushy after a while. read more
