They read the code and diagnosed the issue as just a dirty air filter and possibly a dirty mas air sensor. They charged $130 for the diagnostic and quoted him $700 to replace the senor. PURE RIPOFF. Might as well have taken it to the dealer. I told him to pay the diagnostic and take the car home. For $130 they could have replaced the $20 filter, bought a $15 can of MAS airflow cleaner, and charged him the balance of the $130 for the 5-10 minutes it would have taken to do the work. I sent him the info for the filter, he bought it at Advanced Auto, I had a can of the MAS sensor cleaner at home. Swapped in filter, sprayed and dried out the sensor, DONE. Problem resolved. What the JPA tried was highway robbery and they lost a customer, as I'd used them before work work I could not do myself.

The next day I took the car to Clarendon Tire where they did a road pressure balance and resolved the tire pressure sensor for $75. I will never have Anderson Sunoco do any work on our cars. That experience was a disgusting money grab that demonstrated either dishonesty or incompetence.
