    Southbound Greyhound Martini

Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday September 3rd 2025 with my mom, aunt and a friend. We came here because we heard of their happy hour items, and decided to try it. Although we just tried the drinks, Happy hour wasn't all that busy and they have more italian fare food for their happy hour like meatball sliders, as well as lots of fish. Anyways, we entered the restaurant and my aunt and friend was already there. We just ordered a happy hour drink. I had the southbound greyhound drink with grapefruit vodka- which was good! My mom had the lemon drop martini. My only feedback is that the bartender didn't check my ID to ensure that i was indeed 21+, or whatever the drinking age is here. She did however, make sure to check on us, and was good at that. We left after finishing the drinks, and my aunt paid with cash, with tip as well. Perhaps we will be back another time!

What a wonderful restaurant this is! Everything here is fantastic! Great service, they seated us in a nice location right at the window overlooking the water. Great server- Lacey was extremely personable and made us feel like we were her only table. Food was beyond fantastic! We both had steaks, mine came with crab cakes and they were perfect. Drinks were not watered down and delicious! Can't wait to come back.

    Dinner early quiet.

Always try to eat here when in town. Beautiful setting. Nice bar. View on the water/pond. Great service and fantastic food. Nice basket of blueberry muffins and cheese bread to try while pondering the menu. Yummy oysters Rockefeller. We all had veal Neptune which was absolutely delicious. Lightly breaded veal, Hollandaise sauce with scallops, shrimp, and crab meat. Lots of places to eat at the a beach. Got to try this family owned local place. Always good.

Beautiful setting, very welcoming. Spacious dining rooms. And a guest alligator. We had a party of eight and they sat us as soon as we arrived for our 6:30 reservation. The hostess seemed excited to have us and made us feel special. Our waitress, Bryce, did a great job and was very attentive. Everyone's meal were perfectly presented and all were happy. I have to give a special shout out for my pork Marsala. Might be the best sauce I have ever eaten. Really. I'll go back just for that. Side salads were plenty big and fresh. Cheddar biscuits and blueberry muffins by the basketful. Just be aware that you must be able to navigate steps to the dining room or back to the restrooms.

Love, love, love this place. Happy hour food is amazing. You have to get the blackened beef tips and sweet potato fries.

Joe's Bar & Grill is an absolute favorite of my father-in-law and his wife, so we've been here…read moreseveral times over the years. They always want to sit in the Raccoon Cove bar out back, which has a great fireplace for cold nights and a food stand that brings the local raccoons by for dinner. You can also watch them from the sunroom-style dining room if you'd rather stay inside. The indoor decor is fun too (Ace Ventura would call it a lovely room of death) with all the animal trophies on the walls. The pork ribeye over sweet potato mash isn't going to win any beauty contests, but don't judge that book by its cover because it was very tender and delicious. It's definitely a new favorite! The Steak Au Poivre is another one with a sauce that elevated an already well-cooked (but not well-done!) steak. My wife's Seafood Alfredo was wonderful, including the bites she let me steal, and the Lowcountry chowder was excellent. Her other favorites are the Filet Neptune and the Mahi-Mahi. The Thai BBQ ribs are also a big hit with the family, but somehow I still haven't gotten to try one. Next time. This is the "good" Joe's. They don't serve hamburgers here, but they do know how to cook a steak. The food is excellent, the service has always been good, and they've nailed the local upscale-casual restaurant and bar vibe. The only real downside is the tiny parking lot. You can park at the ice cream place too (overflow lot), but Joe really needs to make friends with the beachwear megastore next door because their back lot always seems to have plenty of empty spaces!

Visiting from out of town and wanted a great meal to end it well. After searching and searching…read moreonline we came across Aspen Grille. I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!

The food was incredible -- I had a filet mignon, green beans and mashed potatoes, and it was all perfectly cooked to order. My husband had short ribs and said they were wonderful. We also had cocktails. On hearing we were celebrating our anniversary, our wonderful waiter Paul got free champagne for us. The meal was not cheap at all, but considering we spent $60 on a breakfast buffet somewhere else (and inflation in 2026,) we knew that was coming. Definitely the place to go to celebrate. It was an experience to remember!
