Nice merch, well displayed. The pastry case is extremely inviting and what spoke to me today was the cheese danish with coconut. I swarmed it, maybe you're supposed to take more than three bites? They warmed it up for me and it was delicious. I'm usually a really BIG tipper but when you pay just short of six $$$ dollars for a single pastry these days, I don't see why you should tip when basically all someone has to do is ring it up for you and throw it in a bag.You know what I mean? So lately, for the first time in my life I'm starting to not tip at places like this. I feel a bit guilty, but I am retired. I think the way to do it is to throw a dollar in there every third visit or something, just my feeling. A cumulative tip.Ha! Anyway, the staff is always real pleasant and kind. But it's an adorable spot and always has a good amount of nice patrons enjoying themselves. I just overheard a gentleman say to his wife as he was walking out the door: "This tastes better than Starbucks" while sipping one of those fancy triple layered multicolored drinks. There is usually plenty of outdoor seating and easy parking. There is also a bunch of great little shops nearby, including SEES candy and a handful of restaurants, etc. Target, Michaels, HomeGoods, you know the normal Mini-Mall "flif-flof'. It's a very pleasant spot. Look for: "COUNTRYSIDE MARKETPLACE " just off of Newport/Haun Rd near Highway 215. Let me pop back inside and throw a couple of shekels in the "tip jar"! He completely lost his patience, shouting, "I have been calling these drinks and everyone is still sitting!" then shoved the drinks across the counter at me, spilling one of them. He was just calling out individual drink names, so I had no idea the drinks on the counter were even part of my order. Hope he has a better day!

Service was extremely friendly, the gentleman who I was chatting with was very professional and quick! My coffee was done in less than 2 minutes, it was the most amazing thing I've seen in a while. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is different. The interior is absolutely beautiful...modern, spotless, stylish, and incredibly welcoming. The large, high-end washers and dryers made it possible for me to wash all of my clothes and blankets in record time, which alone was impressive. But what really sets The Mat apart is the entire experience. There's an incredibly comfortable lounge with a beautiful couch where you can actually relax while your laundry is going, plus an espresso bar with pastries that are seriously to die for. It feels more like a cool upscale lounge than a laundromat. They also offer Fluff & Fold service, which is something I definitely plan on using for my business. Having a place this nice that can also take laundry completely off your hands is a huge plus. The Mat took one of those chores nobody really looks forward to and somehow made it enjoyable. All of a sudden, laundry became fun! Beautiful facility, great atmosphere, fantastic equipment, and an experience unlike any laundromat I've ever been to.
