I really loved Chevys at one time but that is not the feeling i had at the conclusion of our visit to this location. The restaurant was not very crowded but it still took an extremely long time (over 30 minutes) to get our food once the order was placed. That was also l someone did come by to see if we were okay they didn't apologize for the wait or refill our empty drinks until we asked a couple times. Not a fan of this location. We went as a party of 5 (4 adults and 1 child). We came for a late-late lunch around 2:50 PM. We tried to squeeze in their lunch menu items but were not charged for the lunch prices even though our order met the 3:00 PM cutoff per the receipts. They were not busy at all (maybe about 5 seated tables at most and 3-4 servers plus manager), so we expected fairly quick service. There's a huge sign on the wall that says that the chips are served hot but they were room temperature. They were complimentary, so it wasn't a big deal, though to be so boldly proclaiming it, the chips definitely didn't meet expectations. We waited a while to get the drinks. If it's one thing you should do it is to get the child's beverage out quickly. I learned that when I worked at Friday's. Give them that coloring menu, crayons, or their drink to keep them busy. My friend had to flag down the server because he was texting in customer view (on two occasions) rather than attending to the table. As far I recall, the drinks are prepared by the server, not the kitchen. The service was OK, but there was a clear language barrier with the server. They mix bacon in the refried beans, which I received as a side and inside the taco salad. My fault, I should have asked, but the menu did not say bacon was in the beans. When I ate them, I noticed they tasted strange. I asked the server, who was friendly and all, but didn't really seem to understand what I was saying. He finally said yes that there's bacon in it, and I told him I didn't eat bacon. I didn't realize until later that they gave me a side of bacon-beans AND put the bacon-beans at the bottom of my salad, so I was eating away and then got to the bacon-beans. The server could have informed me, oh hey you said you don't eat bacon-beans, so FYI the salad you ordered has bacon-beans in it. After a few bites, I asked for the dish to be sent back. The server didn't offer a different item. I asked for a single cheese enchiladas if they had it, and again he had no idea what I saying. I ultimately decided not to order anything else. The manager came by and said something about me being vegan after the server mentioned I had sent my entree back. No, I never said I was vegan (I ordered a taco salad with chicken and that had cheese and sour cream...). I ate my partner's meal because we didn't want to wait for another entree to be prepared. The manager comped the one entree I had sent back. I had actually come for my birthday. She came up to me and asked for ID to match the email with the birthday entree and said, "I already comped the birthday meal" meaning she wasn't going to redeem a birthday meal for my partner's entree that I ended up eating. I said can you take the birthday meal off the entree I did eat. She reluctantly said OK. I left a 25% tip anyway. We won't be back. read more

Came by yesterday for National Tequila Day and the place was packed but not overly packed where finding a seat in the bar was difficult. I tried the paloma margarita and it was really good. I will definitely back here for that. On happy hour it's normally $8 but yesterday it was $6 - totally worth it. They have other great happy hour deals (Monday through Sunday, ending at 9 p.m.). The barbecue chicken quesadilla was delicious and enough to share for 2 people if you just want something to nibble on, but if I was hungry eating it alone would have been filling. Service was good. Shout out to Jose! He did a great job managing so many patrons! I actually forgot how big this restaurant was because it had been some years. There is seating outside and plenty of room inside. We enjoyed their $6 house margaritas, $4 queso + chips and 2 other appetizers on their happy hour menu. I love coming here for lunch when I'm at work. It's not somewhere, where lunch can be quick- you may have to use your full hour. Happy hour starts at 3 and is from 3-9 where they have specials on food and drinks. Their frozen margaritas are good and so so are the street tacos. as soon as i walked in i was greeted by a beautiful smile at the host stand they welcomed me to the bar because I was a party of 1. when I got to the bar the ambiance of the whole restaurant was very appealing and cutesy. We tried Chevy's for the first time a couple months ago and really enjoyed the food. My gf's birthdays was yesterday and she decided she wanted them again as her birthday meal, so we ordered again, this time as delivery. I ordered directly from the Chevy's website. The order was placed around 6:45pm. My confirmation email slated the food to arrive at 7:25pm. So we waited. 7:30 came went. Around 8pm I started to wonder what was going on. I checked the tracker on the email and it said the food hadn't even been picked up. Ok. Then, at 8:17pm, I received a text message saying the food would arrive at 7:28pm...And yes, you read that right. So we waited some more. The delivery finally arrived around 9pm. With all the time we'd waited and the restaurant being less than 10 minutes away from our home...I naively expected that at the very least, the food would be warm. But no. We waited 2 hours just for it to get here and be 100% cold. Not even the *slightest* bit of residual warmth. Which makes me wonder just how long it'd sat out before getting to us. The food was soggy, the salsas had leaked all inside the bag and the sauces for one entrees were sent without lids and had spilled all inside the box. I imagine it had been sitting for WELL over an hour . Not to mention the consommé was essentially water with chickpeas floating in it. If i'd known the experience would be anything like this-- especially on my partner's birthday, I wouldn't have ordered from here. A huge mistake! Our drinks, a frozen strawberry margarita and pineapple mojito, were cold and perfectly flavorful.. something needed on the hottest day of the year so far! The queso was cheesy and had fresh ingredients like tomatoes and jalapeños, which I always appreciate. The salsa was also fresh and slightly smoky, I couldn't stop nibbling on it. The chips were honestly perfect.. hot, light and crisp, but not too greasy. I got shrimp quesadillas, something Tomas was able to make happen even though it wasn't on the menu. So good! Huge pieces of shrimp, and super cheesy. This was delicious, and we look forward to coming back. I stopped in for a quick lunch between meetings. The service was prompt. I was seated quickly and the best thing was being informed by my server that it was national margarita day, something I had never heard of...well needless to say, that became my drink selection. There were 3 mini margs so I got to try a few options. For me, the classic rules. I ordered the seafood burrito. It was tasty. I'm not a huge fan of white sauces but I finished my plate with ease and I'd order it again. Interestingly enough, I wasn't such a fan of the salsa that accompanied the chips. Listen, the best thing about this whole experience was the $3 margaritas and our server Rocky!!!! She was absolutely fantastic and such a delight!! She made this visit worth it for sure. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was dang near empty at 2 pm on a Wednesday afternoon, I know sounds super off right??? Anywho, after we were seated we were bought chips, that tasted very fresh and well as some salsa that was actually really great! Funny thing is after two small saucers each you could tell it was made fresh because they both tasted different but delicious. The first saucer was way spicier than the second but the second was more flavorful than the first. Gotta love when salsa is freshly made. After me tally debating on the rocks or frozen, first round of margaritas were on ice, a classic and a prickly pear. I'm a flavorful person so the $2 extra for a flavored margarita was still within my price range lol so sure let's splurge. On Wednesday the classic is only $3 but if you add a flavor it makes it $5 which is still in my mind pretty reasonable. What I did learn after and in depth conversation with Rocky and tasting it myself, when is doubt frozen it out!!! I had the same margarita iced and frozen and the frozen was definitely more flavorful and provided a faster route to liquid libation satisfaction. Who needs food after two baskets of chips and two saucers of salsa????? This girl, that's who!!!!! I prefer the lunch fajitas with steak and chicken. I asked for the steak to be medium and it may have been when they put it on the sizzle plate but once the plate hit the table it was well done. The chicken was as dry as if it didn't the summer in the Sahara desert it was soooo freakin dry !!!! The veggies were juicier than the chicken, ponder that one for a minute!!! The black beans were super flavorful and the rice was just okay. If you park in the garage make sure you take your ticket with you since they validate parking for up to 2 hours I believe. WORST experience in a restaurant ever. RUN AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY. We had a large party reservation - 12 people, 5 of which were kids. It was an all around bad experience. We were seated over 30 mins late for our reservation and the place wasn't even 1/2 full of customers. (630pm reservation and not seated until after 7pm) Look below at the same time and you see a picture from Jason T. with the inside of the restaurant. It was basically empty. We were in our seats for over 20 mins before a waiter brought us water or asked us if we wanted a drink. At this point it was 720-725pm. We ordered drinks, guac, and kids meals off the bat since it was so late; then ordered adult meals shortly after. We asked 3 times for silverware and when it finally came, it was 12 folks and 12 knives on two plates and a large stack of napkins. My husband had to pass out the silverware and napkins. After an hour we asked for a refill on waters and the waiter gave us the pitcher. After several inquires our food FINALLY arrived at 830pm. We even asked that the kid meals just be brought out ASAP, and it never happened. When we got the food it was bad. Two people had rotten meat in their tacos and salad, and the fajitas were DRY-DRY-DRY. Those of us who could eat something did, we made sure the kids were okay and we got out of there. When the manager came over and offered to take something off the bill it was too little too late. We had talked to him 2-3 times at this point and he wasn't helpful. Just a terrible experience. I will never go back. I recommend looking somewhere else of your meal too. It's not worth the risk that it's a terrible experience, especially when Arlington has generally good options. read more

I haven't seen a Chevys in a long time. The happy hour sign out front listed several food and drink options every day between 3-9pm. I ordered the fuego fries and the frozen margarita. The fries were good but became soggy very fast and the margarita was just ok for being famous. The service was Ok but nothing special. I will compliment them on the chips and salsa. The salsa was bettef than I remember with a smoked veggie flavor and a little kick. The best part is the price. I will certainly come back to try other items. read more

My friend recommended we come here after checking out their menu online. Upon arriving, it was a little hard to spot within all of the construction taking place outside. Which of course is no fault of the restaurant. When we arrived we were able to quickly be seated, upon which our server came to greet us and get drink orders. Our food arrived very quickly, which was great! Everything tasted fine. I ordered the Queso dip and the salmon fish tacos. The Queso tasted pretty standard. The tacos were okay. I would have liked for more topping on the taco itself (like pico, or onions). The waiter was decent. There was a time when 2 waiters were bringing us food, and there was some noticeable tension between them, which was a little awkward. Beware that there is no view due to construction, or any outdoor dining, which would have been great since the weather was amazing that day. Since the food was pretty average, it's a possibility I'd return, but only after the construction ends. read more
