Ruuuuuun. So yall, My husband and I went to Chevys. Off the rip the hosted walked off on us. A line started to form behind us and the hosted walks off. So immediately, my first thought was "heeeere we goooo". She told us there was a wait but we can choose an outside seat. We took that offer. Bruh, the table was rusted and busted. I understand you cant control the weather but you can bring the tables in my guy. My shirt was dirty from the rust on the table. We waited 10 minuts for the server. My server was rude and fast pace. We made our drink orders and when she came back she gave us dirty glasses with black stuff on it and said they had to wash more dishes. She improperly took my order ( by not writing it down) so I ended up with 2 alcoholic drinks. Like maam, I dnt know what you think this is but I walked here. Sheeeesh. And I explained to her I was asking what the drink was and she said with a straight face "oh". The food advertised doesnt say what is in it so I blindly asked for a mexican pizza not knowing it had beans in it. I told her I was allergic to beans and she didnt explain what was in it and to please take it back. My experience was nasty. Ive tried their food to go before and the guy Ibn Ali who worked there when I picked up my food that time gave me the beeeest customer services. I was looking for him and realized the fired all the black and white staff and hired all spanish people. I dnt care what your nationality is. Keep it cute and keep it clean. I told you so in advance. I had a horrible experience. The server was Daniela, rushed me to place my order and I repeated it to her. I asked her to confirm that she rang it up correctly. She dropped the order off and never came back. After she never returned , I asked the manager to bring a to go box and the check. Well, the manager bought the check and it was incorrect. He corrected the check and I was able to cash out. On my way out I saw my favorite server Pat and spoke to him. I had almost asked to be moved to his section but said let me give another server a chance...never again! read more

Food here is good but I recommend ONLY eating in the restaurant. NEVER EVER order food for delivery from here on Doordash or any other delivery service. My taco, burrito, enchilada plates, beans - whatever - always get smashed up together because the delivery drivers must be rough with the bag and let a flat platter slide vertically in the bag, while in their vehicle! ALSO, I always order a drink and the delivery person NEVER leaves the drink with the delivery, so I NEVER get my drink anymore. I have complained to the store (via Doordash) and they did absolutely nothing for me. This has happened at least 7 times in a row! read more

I came here during COVID19. I was happy to see an open restaurant with seating inside and out but still following social distancing. Since it was my first time I went with Chevy's Super Cinco which included a beef enchilada, chicken enchilada, beef taco, hand-rolled pork tamale and chile relleno. Without a doubt the food was good filling and literally the only thing I ate that day I just have had very good Mexican food all over the USA so please don't let my 3 stars detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Service was good, food was good the drink was ok but I will say I've drank good alcohol all over the world so my standards may be high. I enjoyed my meal I was happy with my service and the bill was not outrageous for what I received. read more

TGIF.... Right? When Fridays roll around all I could think about is nice drinks on a happy hour menu and some delicious apps that are at an affordable price. Chevy's fulfills that quota. They have a cute happy hour menu and who can go wrong with getting margaritas? For this friday outing, the hubby and I decided we wanted to test out their menu so we ordered several things on their menu. We started off with mini chcken tostadas, street tacos and their slow roasted bbq ribs and fries; we enjoyed the food. It was not the best appetizer that I have tasted but to be honest, we enjoyed the food without the extra fluff you get other restaurants. Stopped here after a day of sight seeing. I ordered 2 tacos. My mom ordered the steak and shrimp. Tacos were okay, but they were dry (their salsa is really amazing, so get extra!!!). Steak was inedible, full of fat. Shrimp was pretty good. Showed the waitress the steak and she thought it was pretty gross too. She apologized and said it would be taken off the bill. I avoided this place for a long time after several bad experiences. Stopped in today and they have turned it around. Tomas provided genuinely warm and thoughtful service. Manager Nestor stopped at every table a couple times to check on things. The other servers looked friendly and engaged with their diners. Sat at the bar today and the ceiling /pipes were literally dripping from the top of the bar to the seat next to me, to the floor. There was a puddle next to my feet. THEEE managers walked by, stood posted right next to the puddle, did nothing, said nothing. I couldn't believe it. If they don't care why should I? Went to Chevys for happy hour with my girlfriend. I ordered the virgin pina colada which was so tasty. And the nachos to nibble on. All was well in happy hour land until the table chips and salsa came out and we asked for different chips because ours tasted stale. Our chips were never exchanged. Then when my appetizer of nachos came out, the chips on that dish were stale also (bummer) and the preparation of the dish looked old instead of appearing to be fresh out of the kitchen. You would've thought my nachos were sitting out for an hour. In addition to something did not taste right about them. In other news I sent the nachos back and ordered the BBQ wings. I thought to myself, how horrible could wings be? Turns out, my thinking paid off. The wings were delicious. Disgustingly gross. Insanely overpriced. Now I remember why we haven't eaten at a Chevy's for 10 years; the queso tastes like Tostito's jar of melted cheese, the guac was barely a spoonful, they couldn't be bother to package the liquids. I went looking through my drafts and found thus abandoned soul uncompleted. Is it Chuys? Will see. No, not Chuys but thr wait time was not terrible. As the waiter who sat me down was MIA for a hot minute, another guy kicked in and got me chips and salsa. Chips were a little thin. Nothing special but the salsa was good. My rice had too much tomato but that's more of a personal preference since the days my mom made rice in Chihuahua for me. The refried beans were good. I ordered corn and instead got a glob of sweet corn. Tasty but expected real corn. My bad for assuming. Their bad for not telling. The flautas, the main dish were also not bad they had a sweet to hot thing going on - nice. Asked for side of tortillas and they decided to play "surprise me" (without my consent) and not ask me if corn or flour......they brought me flour. Tortillas came out first and not in containers to keep warm but made the best of it as I was hungry so good cold and sticky. This place earned a two star, though a 3 star experience can pop out here and there, so don't get fooled. I got the impression that on any given day a one star experience is ready to come out and get you.....just like the cold and sticky floor tortillas did to me on that fateful day. read more

I posted this on google as well, but it was really just a terrible experience and my boyfriend was asking to leave the entire time. Where to begin... first, the hostess did not EVER have his mask on properly. Half the time it was all the way down by his chin. At one point, he even coughed while talking to us, just right at our faces. Anyway, we get to the restaurant and we ask for a table on the patio. We were told it would be 15-30 minutes (which we were fine with). While waiting outside we notice several empty tables. About 10 minutes later the hostess comes out and shows us to our table (that had been empty the entire time). Then, we sat at that table for 20 MINUTES before even being brought menus. My boyfriend had to go inside to ask a manager for menus. A waiter walks up to us finally and says "would you guys like to order anything" and I said "Yes but we don't have menus yet", and he pointed to the tiny triangle happy hour menu on the table and said "Um, it's right there", in a very condescending tone. Meanwhile the manager followed right behind with real menus. We watched table after table be sat and taken care of immediately... it was bizarre. We had to flag down a different waiter twice and finally just asked him to take over our table because we had been waiting 10 minutes for water. All in all, the food was fine, our new waiter "Jose" was great, but we absolutely will not be back. It was a horribly uncomfortable experience. read more

They were not suffering for servers like MANY restaurants in this post Covid era which made the wait excruciating. Steak for the fajitas and tacos held flavor but were over cooked and dried out. It took about 20 minutes for our waiter to take our drink orders (keep in mind there were only 4-6 occupied tables out of 20+). He claimed they were out of tortilla chips. We then watched as another waitress served her table with chips:( After about 40 minutes of waiting for our drinks (we just ordered water) and to place a food order.. we left. I do not recommend ordering for events or groups with advance catering - they didn't show up on time and provide less than 1/4th the meat they said was in a portion. I ordered for 10 people and they said there should be two tacos worth or 4oz, the meat was not enough for my group (and I ordered two extra servings than people). Thankfully I had lots of desserts and other food to serve. when I called to check on my order at the scheduled delivery time they kept asking if I had just ordered and I had to restate my address and the fact that I ordered a week in advance more than once. They kept blaming the delivery service, but I ordered directly through their site and paid a delivery fee to them. I included a picture of the meat, the ratio of beans and rice to meet was about 10 to 1 so if you like those you might be fine with the taco bar ratios (my group was shocked). Chevys is not worth the price they charge. I ordered from Uber eats and lets just say I'm disappointed. The burrito was dry and lacked flavor and the quesadilla was awful. My gf got the seafood enchiladas and liked that which is the only reason why I'm giving them a 1 star. I can't believe they managed to make a burrito and quesadilla flavorless. Maybe because it was an Uber eats order they just didn't care how it tasted. I was a bit disappointed trying this restaurant because it's just not what I'm used to. If you're looking for "authentic" Mexican dishes, this is not the place to go.
